Primordial World: Big shots are all my friends-Chapter 935 - 853: Sun Wukong Returns to His Master
"Kill~"
"Hurry and kill him!"
"Get back!"
...
Groups of the Demon Clan roared as they charged towards Tang Sanzang.
But they were all repelled by the Protective Divine Light surrounding Tang Sanzang, screaming as they were flung into the distance, crashing to the ground, while demon soldiers and demon treasures were scattered everywhere. Not a single demon could come near.
Tang Sanzang calmly walked out of the Black Prison and immediately saw several figures standing ahead — a mysterious man in a black robe with a snake staff, a mysterious woman with heavy smoky makeup, and Aynava.
Tang Sanzang instantly halted. If he could ignore those little demons, he had no confidence against these great demons even with talismans.
"Hmph~"
The Black Robe man snorted coldly, moved slightly, and vanished instantly.
Ying Yao giggled sweetly, licked her blood-red tongue, and softly said, "I’ve heard that stir-fried Golden Cicada tastes quite good. Next time, I must try it. You better work hard to stay alive!" Her figure also vanished instantly.
Aynava gestured with his hand and smiled, saying, "Tang Sanzang, since you can use such a Divine Spell, we won’t trouble you this time.
Leave! Do not return to the Spiritual Mountain, whether the Buddha Ancestor or Buddha Ancestor Wutian reigns, the Spiritual Mountain is not suitable for you."
Tang Sanzang pressed his palms together in a gesture of thanks and gratefully said, "Thank you for your guidance, great monk." He stepped into thin air and walked towards the portal.
After Tang Sanzang walked out of the portal, he returned to the Earth Immortal Realm, floating down on a mountain top, and exhaled in relief — he was finally out. Turning his head to look at the Sacred Mountain, he pondered: People pray for Buddha to save all beings, but when the Great Tribulation comes, the Buddha flees the fastest. Is Buddhism truly suitable for the people of the Eastern Land? Is my decades-long quest for the scriptures right or wrong? Alas~
"Tang Sanzang, why did you not save those Buddha Bodhisattvas?" A deep voice rang on the mountaintop.
Tang Sanzang trembled all over and quickly turned to see that somehow, a figure had already appeared beside him. Buddha Ancestor Wutian sat on a rock, his long hair draped over his shoulders, his expression aloof.
Tang Sanzang immediately bowed respectfully and said, "This monk greets the great monk~" There was no thought of escape; escaping was impossible.
"I ask you, why did you not save those Buddha Bodhisattvas?"
"My disciple Wukong once told me, ’The wise understand others, the enlightened understand themselves.’
Knowing others is wise, but truly understanding oneself is enlightened.
Previously, I only grasped the superficial meaning, but now I feel the profound significance of these words.
Before, meeting the Tathagata was just a meeting with the Buddha I wished to see. Now, I know and understand the Tathagata more deeply. In my heart resides disappointment, resentment, and confusion, but now I’ve unlocked my own wisdom.
I understand the Buddha, yet I don’t truly understand myself; I cannot save myself, so how can I save others."
"Sit down!!"
"Alright~" Tang Sanzang sat on a nearby rock, properly and honestly.
"I was originally called Jin Naluo and was the Tathagata’s senior disciple."
Tang Sanzang’s expression shifted. A senior disciple of the Tathagata? I seem to be the second landlord of the Tathagata.
"Long, long ago, Shakyamuni attained Buddhahood under the Bodhi Tree. A mosquito brought him to the Spiritual Mountain, and I also became his disciple at that time.
Later, Shakyamuni established Small Mahayana Buddhism on the Spiritual Mountain, embodying the greatness of Buddha within oneself, replacing Buddha with oneself, and defining Buddha. Small Mahayana Buddhism and Mahayana Buddhism waged a thousand-year struggle in the Western Continent.
Ultimately, Small Mahayana Buddhism triumphed over Mahayana Buddhism, leaving only Yun Brahman as a place for Mahayana Buddhism’s faith. At that time, I received the Buddha’s decree to go to Yun Brahman to preach.
...
Finally, after bowing a thousand times, praying to Buddha to no avail, and seeking help from Heaven but receiving no answer, I watched helplessly as A Xiu died in agony before me.
Then, I resolutely embraced the demonic path, transforming into Wutian, vowing that one day I would ascend the Spiritual Mountain and dethrone that hypocritical Buddha from the Buddha Position.
Now I’ve accomplished it, Tang Sanzang, do you think what I’ve done is right or wrong?"
Tang Sanzang frowned, pondering, and shook his head slightly, saying, "This monk does not know. If the great monk believes his actions are right, then they are right.
This monk is now in a state of confusion and cannot provide the great monk with an answer."
"Even during my preaching, I once felt confused."
"How did the great monk handle it?"
Wutian pointed at Tang Sanzang’s chest, his figure faded and disappeared, his ethereal voice echoing on the mountaintop: "Abandon all distractions, forget the cultivation of Buddhist Law, and seek your true heart; that is your most sincere answer."
Tang Sanzang sat dazed for a long time. As evening approached, he finally rose from the rock, pressed his palms together in a bow, and stepped into thin air, walking into the distance.
...
Elsewhere, just as Tang Sanzang entered the Spiritual Mountain, Sun Wukong on the Nine Layers Pass suddenly fell into a dream without warning.
Amidst the dream world, Sun Wukong leapt and bounded into a mountain forest, looking around as if the scenery were familiar.
Suddenly, a ethereal singing voice came: "Observing chess, the pieces decay, the sound of wood chopping echoes, slowly walking at the valley’s entrance, selling firewood and buying wine, laughing wildly to satisfy one’s feelings.
...
Upon meeting, either immortal or Tao, sitting quietly to discuss Yellow Court."
A flash of lightning struck upon Sun Wukong’s Spirit Platform, finally realizing where this familiar feeling came from. He exclaimed in delight, "Master!"
Immediately he somersaulted into the sky, lighting up his Eyes of Golden Flame, suddenly seeing a woodcutter carrying logs, walking along the mountain path.
Sun Wukong descended from his Cloud Head, laughing heartily and called out, "Old Woodcutter, you’re still here!"
Woodcutter squinted to look closely, promptly placed down his logs, clasped his hands, laughing heartily, and said, "Greetings, Great Saint!"
Sun Wukong bounded forward, grinning and cheekily saying, "You truly aren’t an ordinary person. Quick, tell me, where do your divine powers come from? Are you possibly a disciple of my Master?"
Woodcutter shook his head and said, "No, no, this humble I is the Mountain God of this mountain, doesn’t have the Creation to receive old Immortal’s teachings."
Sun Wukong jumped onto a rock and respectfully bowed, saying, "This old Sun thanks the Mountain God for pointing the way, leading to today’s achievements of this old Sun."
After bowing, he smiled cheekily and said, "In the future, your merit evaluation in the Heavenly Court will be handled by this old Sun; as long as it meets the minimum standard, this old Sun will pull some strings. This old Sun has connections up there."
Woodcutter laughed heartily and said, "Thank you, Great Saint. Great
Saint came here for Master Puti, right! Go quickly; don’t keep Master waiting."
"Alright~ this old Sun will come find you for drinks another day. Now, I’ll go first." Sun Wukong clasped his hands and instantly flew up into the sky.
In the deep mountains, there’s a beautiful peak. Ascending for seven or eight miles, there’s a platform upon which a Cave Mansion is built, a rock plaque stands on the cliff, approximately three zhang high and eight chi wide, inscribed with ten large characters: "Mountain of Mind and Heart, Three Star Cave."
Sun Wukong landed before the Cave Mansion, laughing heartily and excitedly shouted, "I’m back, this old Sun is back."
"Master~"
"Master~"
"This old Sun is back."
Sun Wukong bounded and ran inside, cheerfully yelling incessantly.
