Chapter 19 -19: I Want Compensation

After making Ye Sihan a cup of coffee in the pantry and delivering it to him, the matter was finally settled.

After returning to her station, Tang Yu decided she would make her escape that very night!

She must be sick to follow Ye Sihan’s arrangements!

With the four little ones, they could be discovered at any time; it was too dangerous here.

Like usual, Tang Yu left work, planning to pick up her children and then head straight for the airport.

After all, everything in the house had been burned; there was nothing to take with her except for the money.

As she walked out of the company, Tang Yu hailed a car.

Just as she got in, before the door could even close, another person squeezed in.

“This is the car I hailed…” Tang Yu’s words stopped short when she saw who had come in.

Wang Mingkai slammed the car door shut and rudely said to the driver, “Go!”

“I’ve already got a passenger, perhaps you could take another car?” the driver suggested.

Wang Mingkai pressed a knife against the driver’s neck, “Are you going or not?”

Frightened, Tang Yu watched as the even more terrified driver didn’t dare to oppose and stepped on the gas, driving forward as Wang Mingkai instructed.

“What…what are you going to do?” Tang Yu tried to keep her composure.

“Ye Sihan that little prick fired me, why should you get to gloat?” Wang Mingkai said, pointing the knife at Tang Yu.

Tang Yu flinched, pressing her back tightly against the car door, “You…don’t mess around, this is illegal.”

“Relax, even if I go to jail, the Ye Family can fix it with money,” Wang Mingkai confidently declared.

Tang Yu thought of something and asked, “Did you do that to my rental?”

“I did it, got any proof?”

Tang Yu thought he was crazy, but she explained anyway since he had a knife, “The person who fired you was Ye Sihan; go find him, why come after me?”

Wang Mingkai’s look suddenly turned sleazy, “Since you don’t want to be my woman, I’ll let you be many men’s woman.”

Hearing this, Tang Yu felt frightened, her mind racing for a way out as her hand slowly slid into her bag. Her phone suddenly rang, startling her, and she quickly took it out. Without even checking who was calling, she answered and cried out, “Help, don’t—ah!”

She only managed to shout “Help” before Wang Mingkai snatched the phone away, hung up, and even turned it off.

“Damn it, looking for trouble!” Wang Mingkai slapped Tang Yu across the forehead.

Shrunken against the car door, Tang Yu watched Wang Mingkai with shaky breaths, her hair tousled like a messy bird’s nest.

The taxi drove towards a remote suburb, and by the time it was dark, they arrived at a villa where Wang Mingkai dragged Tang Yu out of the car—

“Ah!” Before she could see clearly, Tang Yu was tossed into the outdoor swimming pool, splashing water everywhere.

Once she sank and managed to steady her panicked emotions, she swam upward until her head broke the surface.

“Oh, so you can swim?” Wang Mingkai chuckled from the edge of the pool.

Tang Yu had four children; swimming was the bare minimum for her.

She took in the sight of the men and women standing or sitting beside the pool, some dressed, some undressed. Some couples were still in the flirting stage, while others left little to the imagination.

Because of her arrival, all those pairs of eyes were fixated on her.

“Not bad looking, right? Have fun,” Wang Mingkai called out to the others.

Tang Yu’s face drained of color, “Wang Mingkai, don’t go too far! Once I get out of here, I’ll definitely call the police!”

“This place is full of rich people; calling the police will do you more harm than good. And after one night, will you still have the energy to go out? Hahaha!” Wang Mingkai laughed wildly.

An eager man couldn’t wait any longer and jumped into the water.

Seeing this, Tang Yu turned and ran.

But she was no match for the man’s speed and was quickly captured, her head thrust under water—

“Mmph!” Tang Yu struggled underwater.

Just when she was about to suffocate, the man released her again.

After breathing in a few gulps of fresh air, he pushed her back under the water.

It was pure torture, just for fun.

Tang Yu’s strength was almost sapped; her body became limp, her struggles feeble.

It wasn’t until she was completely out of energy that she was dragged ashore and laid on a lounge chair by the poolside.

The upper half of her white shirt, after being soaked in water, clung to her body, outlining her alluring, sensual curves, her waist remarkably slender. Below was a tight-fitting skirt, hemmed above her knees, her calves straight and slender, exceptionally beautiful.

The man’s eyes lit up as he reached to undo the buttons at her chest, having just unfastened one—

when he heard the sound of an approaching car engine.

The high beams swept over before the car drove into the villa without obstruction.

The men nearby were still watching, eyeing Tang Yu’s figure and her helpless state as if stimulated, each one physically reacting.

Upon seeing the luxurious and imposing car, all traces of lewdness vanished from Wang Mingkai’s face, especially since Ye Sihan had arrived silently in front of him; his body was so frightened he couldn’t move.

Ye Sihan had one hand in his pocket, his presence commanding and intimidating.

He moved elegantly and dangerously towards the poolside.

Standing by the pool, he looked down disdainfully at Tang Yu, his dark eyes icy cold.

Having just been pulled out of the water, Tang Yu looked disheveled, frail, dazed, her complexion pale, utterly devoid of any resistance.

The man whose pleasure had been interrupted yelled, “Who the hell are you? Do you know where you are? Get lost!”

Wang Mingkai was so scared his soul nearly left him, his body gradually retreating as he turned to flee.

He had only taken a few steps when he was blocked and forced back by Ye Sihan’s bodyguard.

“What are you afraid of, President Wang? You’re one of the Ye Family. In all of Jingdu, who would dare to provoke you? Unless they don’t want to live!” the man was still defiant.

“Shut up…” Wang Mingkai’s voice was barely audible, wary of Ye Sihan beside him.

Ye Sihan didn’t even give him a proper glance, and without a word, he gestured slightly, prompting his bodyguards to step forward, subdue the man, and throw themselves into the pool with him.

The bodyguards forced the man’s head underwater, but he didn’t receive the same treatment as Tang Yu; they only let go after he stopped breathing.

After coming to her senses, Tang Yu struggled to rise from the lounge chair, turned her face, and saw a man floating in the pool, face downward, lifeless.

Her body trembled slightly.

Then she felt lighter as she was picked up; like a frightened bird, she protested, “No, let me go…”

“Don’t move,” a deep, intimidating voice ordered.

Tang Yu’s eyelashes fluttered, the man’s jawline sharp and imposing, his profile deep and cold.

Before getting into the car, she heard Ye Sihan’s grim instructions, “Clean this up.”

“Yes,” the bodyguard responded.

The black Rolls-Royce sprinted down the road like a cheetah, yet it was so steady.

Tang Yu sat by the car door, her purse beside her.

Although her body had recovered, her spirit was still dampened by shock, her mood low.

A towel was thrown to her; however, as her whole body had been pulled from the water, Tang Yu could only use the towel to pat her dripping hair.

“Wang Mingkai burnt down my rented apartment.” She said, her wet lashes still drooping. After speaking, she lifted her eyes to look at Ye Sihan, “I want compensation.”
