Queen Mommy's Six Genius Babies Found the CEO Daddy-Chapter 130: The Mole
Not long after Sophia arrived at the office, she got the alert: Andrew had fainted.
Susan’s voice on the phone was furious, practically howling.
Sophia said calmly, "Dad collapsed — he’s been taken to the hospital. I’m not a doctor, there’s so much going on at the company. If I’m not there, are you coming?"
She hung up without waiting for an answer. The phone rang again immediately; this time it was one of the kids.
"...Mommy, that strange auntie came to the office to see Daddy. She went into his office and shut the door. I don’t know what they’re doing."
Sophia stood up at once. "Really?"
"Yes. Do you want me to come?"
"Not yet. You stay there for now. When I finish everything tonight, I’ll come pick you up."
She couldn’t leave just then — she’d already told Susan she wouldn’t come. If she changed her mind now, Susan would seize on it as proof of something.
She decided to swing by the records vault — just a quick walk-through. Then she set things in motion. She put down her bag and called, "Secretary Smith."
"President Morgan, yes?" Paul answered.
"Go to the Hilton Group branch and get Sean to send over the files for our latest collaboration."
"You want to drive traffic?" he clarified.
"Yes. I don’t trust handing it to anyone else. After you pick it up, swing by and see the VP at FC Group who’s collaborating with us."
Sophia issued commands calmly and efficiently.
"Understood." Paul moved with speed and competence — exactly the sort of steadiness she liked.
She returned to her office and waited until she watched his car pull away before slipping into the company’s secure records room.
Ernest was still at his monitor when Sophia’s voice came up behind him. "Still taking it easy, I see."
"President Morgan, you’re here?" he stammered.
"I just wanted to check in."
All the ledgers from past years were stacked in front of her; a hidden panel sat among them. That was why Ernest monitored this room — an extra pair of eyes. She could only do a quick scan now and plan for a deeper review later. She planned to get off work early today — after all, she had six kids at home and didn’t know if they could manage on their own.
...
Hilton Group.
Angela was leaning at the door, listening.
"Angela, what do you hear?"
Faye hurried over too, but she didn’t seem to hear anything suspicious.
"Keep your voices down. Mommy said she can’t come, so it’s up to us. If that auntie tries anything, we’ll be the first to rush in." Angela whispered.
"I’ve got a plan."
Charles cracked the door just enough for six pairs of eyes to peer through. They watched what was happening inside.
Vivian looked pleased. Lucas, on the other hand, seemed reluctant to talk with her. For every line Vivian offered, he merely humored her.
"Doesn’t Daddy look like he’s being forced? He probably doesn’t like her either. Why don’t we help him?"
The kids quietly shut the door again.
"Billy, get a cup of coffee. Charles, bring a small dessert. Dustin, grab a notebook. Eric, find a pen."
With the older boys assigned, Faye blinked up at Angela with wide, watery eyes. "Angela, what should I do?"
"Just remember one thing: when it’s your turn, cry."
"I don’t like crying. Give that job to Charles — he’s the best at crying. He’ll do it so well!"
Faye didn’t want to keep pretending to cry this time.
"Faye, be good," Angela whispered. "Charles isn’t as good as you are. Every time he pretends to cry, it’s way too fake. Yours looks real. Be good, and I’ll buy you an ice cream later!"
"Angela, I’m too old to be bribed with just one ice cream."
"Fine. Two."
"I’ll think about it."
Faye folded her arms and made a show of pretending to think.
"No need to think. How about one year of free ice cream?"
"Deal!" Faye grinned from ear to ear.
...
Inside the office—
"Lucas," Vivian said softly, "whatever you plan to do next, I’ll stand by you. We’ll have more projects together, and who knows—maybe we’ll end up attending the same conferences or year-end events."
"I don’t think that’s necessary," Lucas replied flatly. "There’s a lot going on at the company right now. My place is here. If there’s anything to discuss abroad, we’ll deal with it then. As for the partnership, our teams can coordinate directly."
Vivian smiled faintly. "I thought meeting today was about discussing cooperation. Shouldn’t I be working directly with you?"
"Vivian, whatever it is you’re after, I’ll help you where I can," he said, his patience thinning. "But the contract will go through the designated project manager." 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Lucas felt like his life was falling apart.
That morning, he’d confidently told Sophia he wanted another bet.
And now, before lunch, Vivian had shown up—again.
He’d lost.
"Lucas," Vivian continued, "when I found out you were married to Sophia, I couldn’t come back in time from overseas. But now that I’m here, don’t you think I deserve a place by your side?"
"Vivian," he said quietly, his tone firm, "I’ve made it very clear—I love Sophia. She’s not just my present. She’s my future."
"Lucas, I already know who she is," Vivian said, her expression softening with feigned empathy. "She’s just the chairwoman of YL Group. Everything she’s done—getting close to you, marrying you—it’s all for a reason. I may not compare to her in status, and maybe I don’t have a place in your heart, but I still have a right to speak. You don’t have to accept what I say, but I’ll say it anyway. Don’t worry—I’d never destroy someone else’s marriage. But if you ever realize you and she aren’t meant to be, I’ll be here waiting."
Lucas exhaled slowly. "It’s good you understand. I don’t want to make things ugly between us. But from now on, I hope you stop targeting her. My wife might be kind and easygoing, but I won’t let anyone hurt her."
Vivian’s lips curved slightly. "Kind and easygoing? You really don’t know her yet, do you? I’ve met plenty of women like her—smart, ambitious, calculating. But I’ll admit—she’s beautiful. Brave, clever... she does suit you."
Just as the words left her mouth, the door swung open.
"Daddy!"
Billy stepped in, holding two cups of coffee, setting them carefully on the desk.
"Your son?" Vivian asked.
"Yes. This is Billy." Lucas lifted him up, his expression softening instantly.
"Daddy, aren’t you going to introduce me to this lady?"
"This is Miss Vivian Cooper. Call her Aunt Cooper."
"Are you sure I should call her Aunt Cooper? She looks really young!"
Vivian couldn’t help smiling, assuming he was about to call her "sister."
Then Billy added brightly, "She looks barely over thirty!"
Vivian’s smile vanished on the spot.
