Queen Mommy's Six Genius Babies Found the CEO Daddy-Chapter 175: Just the Two of Us
A soft, melodious voice drifted in from the back of the room.
Alex’s expression shifted—so subtle it was almost invisible—as he turned around with a hint of anticipation in his eyes.
But the smile on his face froze instantly.
In his mind, Amanda was still the girl in a white dress, a big ribbon perched on her head, her features delicate and radiant. He couldn’t connect that image with the woman standing before him now—plain clothes, a fuller figure, and skin dotted with acne.
Next to him, Charles scratched his head.
"Faye... did you hear something break just now?"
It was Alex’s heart—shattering all over the floor.
Someone still couldn’t hold back their curiosity.
"And you are...?"
She smiled. "I’m Amanda. Isn’t this a class reunion? Why does it feel like it ended before it even started?"
Her voice sounded almost the same as before, yet somehow it no longer matched the person in front of them.
"Amanda... you didn’t want to dress up a little?"
"Oh, right, I forgot to tell you guys—I’m actually married now. Already have a kid too. We haven’t held the wedding yet though. When the time comes, if you’re free, come over and have a simple meal."
As she spoke, she pulled out a stack of invitation cards from her pocket.
The moment Alex received one, every bit of hope inside him vanished.
He had imagined every possibility—except this. That years could change a person this much.
He curved his lips slightly, taking off the watch on his wrist.
"Amanda."
"Hm?"
She was just walking past when she heard him and stopped.
"I probably won’t be able to attend your wedding. But the watch—consider it my wedding gift to you."
Up front, Lucas raised a brow. Alex was notoriously stingy; since when was he willing to give away an expensive watch?
Amanda froze. "Alex..."
"You were my youth. But my future isn’t you. I wish you and your family happiness."
Alex grabbed his jacket and walked straight toward Lucas.
"Mr. Hilton."
"You calm now? Handled everything?"
"All taken care of."
Lucas wrapped an arm around Faye and held Sophia’s hand. As he turned, his voice dropped coldly.
"Anyone who shouldn’t be here—you have five minutes to leave."
A few people who had been eager to surround him with small talk instantly froze under his warning stare.
As Alex walked past Butler and Jett, he hooked his lips.
"Jett? What’s wrong, little rooster? Lost your spark? No comeback today?"
Jett clenched his jaw so tightly his teeth nearly cracked—but he couldn’t talk back.
Otherwise, he’d be erased from the industry overnight.
Once they got away from the noisy crowd, Alex finally let out a long sigh of relief.
"Mr. Hilton, Boss Lady... what are you two doing here?"
"It’s Charles," Sophia said. "I used the watch tracker to check on them. He was supposed to report in every five minutes. Then I heard what Charles said. And listen—you should thank Lucas. Your Mr. Hilton went home and straight-up lied to me saying he was taking a vacation. Turns out he came here just for you. Look—he even showed up personally."
Alex’s eyes lit up, voice overflowing with emotion.
"Mr. Hilton~"
"Cut it out. Your salary is low, and your skills are barely acceptable. I simply can’t find a replacement yet."
Alex’s touched expression evaporated instantly.
"Your situation is settled. Now it’s my turn for a vacation. I’m taking Sophia for two days. Meanwhile, you’re taking care of the six little devils."
Lucas ordered flatly—and that’s when Alex realized something was very, very wrong.
Taking care of... kids?
"Boss, you mean I’m supposed to watch all six of them?"
"What else? The car keys are with you. Wherever they want to go, you take them."
He crouched down and set Faye on her feet.
"Faye, be good. Stay with him. Whatever you want to eat or buy, tell him. I’ll reimburse later."
"Okay, Daddy. Hope you and Mommy enjoy your weekend~"
The six kids beamed at him—perfectly in sync.
Lucas tugged Sophia along without hesitation.
She let out a cold snort.
"So you’re seriously dumping the kids on someone else just so you can take a break?"
"Alex doesn’t count as ’someone else.’"
Sophia frowned slightly. Lucas’s trust in Alex was far deeper than she expected.
Behind them, Alex glanced at the six little troublemakers and chuckled.
"Alright, little royals—where do you wanna go?"
"The amusement park!"
...
That evening.
Sophia sat beside the hot spring, warm water wrapping her whole body. It had been ages since she felt this relaxed. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
Suddenly—
"Sophia?"
A hesitant voice called out. She opened her sleepy eyes and looked over.
Vivian stood a short distance away, with a girl beside her who looked somewhat similar.
Sophia recognized her.
Vivian had saved Lucas in the past, and she had also asked him for a favor before, hoping to help her younger sister enter the entertainment industry. And the girl standing before her now was Vivian’s sister—Jenny.
It had been a while. Vivian probably never expected Sophia to still be alive, let alone soaking in a luxury hot spring.
"So it’s you."
Vivian narrowed her eyes slightly.
"Sis, is that the Sophia you were talking about?"
The girl’s voice was quiet, but Sophia still heard it clearly.
"Talking about me? Miss Cooper, do you also have a habit of gossiping behind people’s backs?"
"Gossip? Miss Morgan, your name is practically legendary. Who doesn’t know you? Do I even need to gossip? Did you come alone?"
Vivian’s question meant only one thing: Is Lucas here?
"He’s next door. He wanted the pool behind the presidential suite heated up, but the temperature wasn’t strong enough. So we came here instead."
Vivian stepped into the hot spring too, settling beside her.
"Miss Morgan really does have an impressive figure."
Sophia didn’t even bother opening her eyes.
"Thanks for the compliment."
Jenny frowned.
This was her first time meeting Sophia. She didn’t know her personality, but her sister had told her plenty—especially that the man she wanted was stolen by this woman.
How could she let her sister suffer quietly?
"Miss Morgan, aren’t you being a little too arrogant? Shouldn’t you show some humility? Some manners? My sister is talking to you."
"Jenny, don’t be rude."
"I’m helping you, sis."
Sophia curved her lips slightly, her voice calm and soft.
"I came here to enjoy the hot spring—not to listen to chirping noises. If you don’t like me, or can’t stand the sight of me, you’re welcome to leave."
Jenny had been spoiled her whole life. When had she ever been talked to like that?
Her temper flared instantly.
"Oh please, you just married well. What are you so proud of?"
Sophia finally opened her eyes, giving Jenny a lazy glance—with zero irritation.
"What, nothing to say now? Did I hit a nerve? My sister is the precious jewel of the Cooper family. Why should she be wronged by you? If she hadn’t stepped aside and let you have Lucas, you would’ve never married him."
Still, Sophia didn’t react.
"I’m talking and you’re ignoring me? Out of comebacks already? You’re just clinging to Lucas and showing off because you popped out six kids. What’s there to be smug about?"
"Hey! Sophia! I’m talking to you!"
Vivian stayed silent. She wanted to see how the scene played out.
Jenny was just about to step closer when—
Sophia raised a brow and slowly lifted the hand holding her phone.
Her voice turned sweet—dangerously sweet.
"Baby~ did you hear that? Someone’s saying I only climbed up in life because of you~"
