Chapter 213: Exposed

Early the next morning.

When Sophia opened her eyes, she immediately noticed Lucas lying beside her. He hadn’t gone to the office. Instead, he was lounging in bed, scrolling on his phone.

She wrapped an arm around his waist, her voice lazy and soft.

"What are you looking at? You seem really absorbed." 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

"Someone is finally reaping what she sowed," Lucas replied. "I’m just watching to see how bad her fall is going to be."

Sophia narrowed her eyes, still sleepy, not fully understanding.

Lucas raised his phone to her face so she could see the screen clearly.

Right away, she saw Olivia—standing outside the airport with Ethan—locked in a very long kiss.

"A while ago she was desperately trying to deny everything," Sophia said, "and now she gets caught red-handed. Can’t say she’s not unlucky."

"Don’t you think it’s strange?" Lucas asked. "Logically, ever since Olivia entered the entertainment industry, she should’ve been extremely careful. How did she get caught so easily? And look at the angle. Really look. If it were a normal paparazzo, they’d hide in a crowd or shoot from far away. But these photos... the photographer was clearly positioned in a fixed spot, like they knew exactly where she’d come out. Every shot is perfect—lights, angles, no need for guessing who the leads are."

She swiped through each picture. They were all extremely clear—too clear.

If it was truly a random ambush, how would they know which exit she’d take?

"You’re saying someone set her up?"

Lucas didn’t deny it. "Think about Thomas. Does he look like the kind of man who’d allow his grandson to marry a scandal-ridden wife?"

Sophia suddenly understood where he was going.

"You’re suggesting the Trump family staged this whole thing themselves."

"Exactly. A while ago their marriage rumors were all over the internet, but then everything was quickly denied and buried. Now, suddenly their relationship gets ’exposed’ again? It’s obvious someone’s playing them."

Lucas spoke calmly, logically.

"Right now," he continued, "the only valuable asset Olivia brings to the table is the Morgan Group. As long as someone marries her, the Morgan Group can’t fall into your hands."

Sophia nodded slightly.

Andrew’s greatest fear had always been that the Morgan Group would end up under her control—so of course he chose to believe Ethan.

"I’ve been waiting for Olivia and Ethan’s wedding," Sophia said. "I still have a big gift to deliver. Since they plotted against me first, I will return it in full. But if their marriage gets canceled because of this scandal, my entire plan falls apart."

She exhaled and shook her head.

Lucas chuckled softly.

"If you want your plan to continue, do you need me to step in and suppress all the exposure?"

"No need."

Sophia smiled, slow and dangerous.

"I’m someone who likes to win by staying still. And I have plenty of leverage on them. Even if they flip the sky upside down, they still can’t escape my palm."

Bad intentions flickered to life in her eyes.

"Plans may not keep up with reality," she said, "but I can always add fuel to the fire."

She immediately reposted the paparazzi photos of the airport kiss, captioning:

"Sister, just admit it boldly. There’s nothing shameful about it. The Trump family has always been known for protecting their women."

And she even tagged Olivia.

Within minutes—

Olivia shot straight to the #1 trending topic.

Olivia watched the skyrocketing click rate and was furious beyond control.

Her PR team had been suppressing the topic for half a day.

Just when the heat finally began to drop, the scandal was suddenly pushed back to the very top—every time they forced it down a little, it would jump right back up.

A cute-looking assistant hurried into the room with her phone in hand to report the latest numbers. Olivia snapped her head around.

"I’m not blind!"

Her eyes were wide open, bloodshot, and downright terrifying.

The assistant trembled.

Olivia grit her teeth. Where had she slipped up?

She had hidden everything perfectly. And during filming, every return trip to City A had been secret.

How could anyone have known?

"Olivia, I’m not only here to report the numbers... I also found something off about the photos."

The assistant enlarged them on her phone.

"Off?"

"Yes. Look carefully—the paparazzi seemed to know exactly where you’d show up. They were clearly waiting. Every single photo is crystal clear, leaving zero room for explanation. That’s why I think someone intentionally leaked your schedule."

Olivia frowned, slowly lifting her head.

Ethan had deliberately leaned close to her that day—pretending to remove a leaf from her hair, kissing her in public.

She had assumed no one would recognize her... yet those shots were perfectly framed, from beginning to end.

If this was coincidence, it was too perfect.

"It was him... It was him..."

She murmured. The assistant practically leaned in with both ears, desperate to know who "him" referred to.

Shock in Olivia’s eyes quickly turned into rage.

She was almost certain—Ethan had set her up.

She grabbed her phone and dialed him. It rang only a moment before he answered.

Her first words were an accusation: "Why? Ethan, if you didn’t want to marry me, you could’ve just told me! Why did you have to frame me? Do you have any idea how damaging this is to my career? I’m at my peak right now!"

A pause. Then she heard chaotic noise on his end.

"Mr. Trump! Is it true you and Miss Olivia are getting married?"

"Mr. Trump, is that Olivia calling you right now?"

"Mr. Trump, people say Miss Olivia is the daughter of a murderer—do you have a comment?"

A flood of sharp, mocking questions blasted into her ear.

Her hand clenched into a fist.

Daughter of a murderer?

Soon she heard guards trying to block the reporters—Ethan sounded like he was getting mobbed.

After several minutes, things finally quieted down.

"Olivia, you’ve really misunderstood me," Ethan said.

"I didn’t know anything. When I went downstairs, I got swarmed—only then did I realize something was happening. If you think I framed you, then tell me—why would I? What would I gain?"

Olivia’s brows tightened even further.

"It wasn’t you?"

"Olivia, if it were me, then tell me—for what benefit? And why would I sabotage you now, when your career is rising? If anything, your success brings me prestige. Why would I block your path?"

With a few smooth lines, he knocked her suspicion down again.

"Olivia... could it be Sophia? Why else would she repost the photos—and tag you—just to turn all the fire onto you?"

Sophia?
