Quills: the Rise of the Northern Matriarch-Chapter 89: Two More Cycles Later (3)
Chapter 89 - Two More Cycles Later (3)
"Ho ho, this kid, he probably could think of some interesting ways," Janel said with an enthusiastic cadence. He was familiar with Talan's work in medical software as he used the tools in his day-to-day work. The incapacitation software that they both used was Talan's work, it used to just be long pulses of pain. One can do a lot under the influence of pain. Yes, it was used by the Peacekeepers and Military, but it was mainly used by sexual assault victims in the lower Class to defend themselves. Janel admired the young man's work greatly. Nora smiled widely, seeing Janel's somewhat fanboy attitude. A handsome smile graced Talan's face. It caught her off guard.
'He was truly the best member of the Hudai Clans programming team. They truly did not know what they lost when they gave up their son to Clan Quill,' Janel thought. He had the highest praise for the brilliant young man. Innovation in Hudai Tech will greatly suffer. It would become worse if Quill started making their own biological interfaces. Janel would be first in line to download the software when it was ready.
"I would be happy to help you with that, Talan. I know of a few nerve branches that can cause agonizing pain and dysfunction when stimulated, one of which can cause defecation and urination." Janel said enthusiastically. Nora laughed heartily, picturing an attacker grabbing his crotch in pain and losing control over his bowels and bladder. She was delighted that the topic shifted. "Everything looks good with baby number five. Party?" Janel said. Nora passed her Interface through the scanner to grab the image of the newest member of the family. Kai followed suit and also saved the image. Talan looked at them and smiled.
"A private one. Just family and, of course, you and Monil." Kai said. He was not ready for Solina to know yet.
"You are the first not to tell your parents, but they will find out somehow, especially when I have to hold the party," Nora said. It would be offensive to Setton if she did not celebrate the child and possibly to the child down the road.
They were all great parents. Talan felt protective of children. He was glad that his mother was unable to bear any more children. He had programmed that into her interface and she did not even know that he had tampered with her programming. There were a lot of things that could be done with the health software he wrote, since it accessed the body and senses. It seemed like a weakness to his mother that he would work on health software, whereas his brothers all focused on business tools, monitoring and interface projects. He was glad to have the chance to change things.
"Would you be willing to come over tonight to explain everything to Liem, Kadir and Cerez? I will have them make vanilla cake for dessert. We have so much to celebrate!" Nora said, excited about the upcoming change in her life. Monil coming to live with them would be great. He was a really nice guy, in Nora's opinion. She could hang out with him. He was a talented musician that surprised her. They also got along really well. Maybe this would mean other children playing hers with other than their families' joint children. She wanted to raise her children among the Daleth, Gimmel and Bitas children so they would be on good terms with them. If Janel and Monil had children, she would be thrilled. Janel would be an excellent parent. She opened her Interface and opened her Matriarch software, she found the social credit and added the maximum amount of credit she could to Janel's interface. Janel's interface chimed. "Until we are ready, ask me anytime to do this Janel. I want nephews. Lots of them. Soon." Nora said in a joyous tone. Janel blushed.
Talan smiled at his spouse's kindness. He was falling in love with her more. He knew that just because he had a physical response to her and felt this way. That it still would not be healthy for him to pursue a physical relationship yet. He had not had his first night and was spending his nights so far in a nice soundproofed room. It was not fair to continue letting his parents control his life after leaving home. He had counseling for his trauma from his early teens, but it did not amount to anything more than medication. He wanted to make sure that he would not have an episode like the last time someone touched him and hurt someone. He was the only male in the Hudai family that went into military training. His mother sent him away because he had harmed her. He was proud of that. He was starting to feel more confident, he had even thought of fatherhood. Now that he knew that she felt the pain, he felt and trusted her as well.
"I would like to stay behind to talk with you about your thoughts on the software, Janel." Talan said, inventing a reason to stay behind with the Doctor. "Kai, Nora, do you think you will be alright with the children by yourselves for an hour?" Talan said to Nora and Kai; his co-spouse. Nora nodded. Liem was at home with the children downstairs and needed a break most likely to check his work. But they would be alright on their own. She knew that Talan saw Janel frequently and respected his privacy.
"Sirona and Astra will be wanting to play with you when you come back. Please take all the time that you need Talan. I know collaborations like this can sometimes take time." Nora said as she stood and took Kai's hand. The pair left the clinic. Talan and Janel remained quiet until they heard the door shut.
"So about the software?" Janel asked.
"No, I know exactly how I am going to arrange that. I am thinking very painfully, but I suppose I could just make it go flaccid. I really prefer the painful method? How about you?" Talan said, provoking a laugh from Janel.
"Painful would be so much better, any fool that would be ready to do something horrible should remember the pain. It should haunt them. Perhaps we can permanently disable their ability to get aroused?" Janel said with a smile and laughed. Janel flicked his hair and placed his hand on his hip. "I know that you did not need to socialize. Why did you want to meet outside your regular counseling sessions and why did you lie?" Janel asked thoughtfully.
"I did not want her to know, I am sure she does though. I think I am ready to try to be intimate. I just wanted to see if I could get a sedative just in case I react poorly? I am going to ask for a kiss." Talan asked Janel anxiously. Janel prepared a cylinder of sedative with fifteen doses on it.
"I have added additional doses just in case it takes more to sedate you. Are you certain you feel ready for this? There is no harm in waiting and talking it out." Janel said.
"I was alright at the party when she kissed me. I just want to be safe," Talan said.
"Make sure they all know you have it and to use the cylinder. No more than four units at one time," Janel instructed. Talan had made significant progress, but it would be nice to see him express his emotions out in the open. His happiness just now and joking around was a great sign of improvement. But he still had not been challenged by more intense emotions yet.
'This is a mistake. I hope he is alright. Those boys will cripple him if he hurts her. I might not be too kind either', Janel thought.
Talan pocketed the syringe and smiled at Janel. He knew his co-spouses could probably subdue him without sedation. It was best for everyone if it did not end in violence if the worst was to happen.
He was confident that he was ready for the experience. She was the complete opposite of his mother. He could trust his co-spouses not to abuse him physically ever.
He would just start to join them when they all became physical. He might just start by joining them to sleep and building a physical relationship like that.

"Thank you, Janel, I think I will keep coming to see you to work on this." Talan said. Janel smiled at him.
"I am always here to talk. Whenever you need me. Alright?" Janel reassured Talan.
"I know we have only talked a couple of times. I promise you I will not rush into anything." Talan reassured the doctor. Janel looked at Talan, worried that he might still have an incident.
Janel looked at the man with sadness in his eyes. He had read the reports of his last counselor and felt horrible about what the young man went through.
The counseling was not too impactful, it was merely an assessment before he was sent away across the planet to a military training facility.
It was heartbreaking. The Hudai Clan should by all means have their children removed from them. It was no environment for a child.
Janel had been able to get higher end equipment since he started working for the Quills, his own laboratory. He did not see anyone accept them for therapy, it left him with a lot of free time.
He was able to discharge Liem, Kadir and Cerez from regular sessions. He was glad Kai was seeking him out for therapy. Talan and Nora still sought him out for counseling as well.
He was starting to feel a little guilty collecting such high pay and getting to research what he wanted. He was perfectly fine being on call.
Talan exited Janel's clinic and made his way to their home. Inside, the aroma of food was in the air.
