Chapter 380: Hacker Alliance

Sensing the tension in the room, Leon attempted to ease the atmosphere by redirecting Doctor Wallace’s focus with a suggestion. "Do you think it would be a good idea to visit General Jones?"

"Of course! General Jones is awake and has already had a meeting with the members of the Alliance." Doctor Wallace replied cheerfully.

Princess Amaya’s eyes brimmed with anticipation as she turned to Doctor Wallace. "Can we also visit Prince Raquim? He must be bored and lonely."

Leon glanced at the Princess. His eyes dimmed, and his face turned icy. His lips pursed into a thin line.

"Please make sure to wear protective gear. Even though you appear to be immune to the virus, we still need to be cautious. The virus in the body of the Crown Prince of Albanya has mutated and required a different kind of medicine for the virus to be completely eradicated." He looked fleeting at Princess Amaya and offered her a gentle smile.

"Princess, we are incredibly grateful for your generous blood donation. It has proven to be a vital component in creating a groundbreaking miracle drug." Doctor Wallace continued.

"With your permission, we would like to name this drug PARVac in your honor."

Vasquez smiled smugly as he asked, "So PARVac stands for Princess Amaya Rocas Vaccine? Did I guess it right?"

Leon snickered at Vasquez. He was looking at him as if he was a fool.

Doctor Wallace chuckled and said, "I enjoy conversing with intelligent people. I appreciate not having to explain so many things." 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Their ongoing conversation was momentarily interrupted as a nurse entered the room. She carried the necessary protective gear and distributed it to Leon, Vasquez, and Princess Amaya.

"What do you think, Princess?" Doctor Wallace asked in a childlike manner.

"The name looks good. Shouldn’t you honor the team who discovered it? More especially, the time to discover the cure was minimal."

Doctor Wallace let out a thoughtful "hmm" as he spoke.

"The team was under the leadership of Doctor Peterson. Their outstanding work will surely be acknowledged and honored with the prestigious Honoris Award."

The middle-aged doctor’s face was graced with a tender expression. Doctor Peterson held a special place in his heart, as he was not only his protege but also his adopted son.

"For General Jones, a double dose of the immune booster you gave us was enough to cure him. By the way, what is the active ingredient inside that ampule? The team studied it. While they could identify the cell structure, they could not tell me what is its origin. Judging from the greenish color, it is an herb. It is something I have never seen before. But then, I am not an expert in herbs and traditional medicine."

Princess Amaya and her two guards looked at each other meaningfully. They just noticed that Doctor Wallace was a chatterbox.

"It originates from a plant that’s exclusive to the island where I grew up. Surprisingly, my father discovered its healing properties quite serendipitously. The immune-boosting elixir is a combination of various herbs, with milagrosa as the main component," Princess Amaya explained.

Doctor Wallace’s interest was piqued as he inquired, "Did the plant originate in Lireya?"

Princess Amaya gazed at the Doctor with a keen sense of curiosity. It seemed to her that he had been confined within the walls of the institute for so long that he remained oblivious to the true heritage of the Princess. Her rescue was at the trending list for a few weeks at that time.

"Doctor Wallace, Princess Amaya grew up on an unknown island in the Pacific. She was stranded there for fifteen years until she was rescued almost three years ago. She brought some plants from the islands without her knowing that those plants did not grow anywhere else." Leon explained on behalf of the Princess.

Princess Amaya turned her head to look at Leon, the towering guard, with a steadfast gaze. She admired his thorough and commendable investigation of her, recognizing his unwavering dedication to his duty. He was more thorough than Vasquez.

Doctor Wallace’s eyes sparkled with excitement as he addressed the princess.

"Princess Amaya, would you be willing to sell us one or two of these exquisite plants? I am very eager to study and propagate them."

Princess Amaya gave him a meaningful smile.

"I can give you one pot only but I can supply the institute with the preprocessed leaves you can use with your research. We can sign an agreement."

Doctor Wallace raised his eyebrows in surprise. He hadn’t realized that Princess Amaya was so wise regarding business matters.

"I have asked my people to send the raw materials to manufacture the ImmunifyMax pill and the ampules. I think Leon had already made arrangements. I trust that the institute could mass produce and distribute it to those who needed it the most."

"Rest assured that you can trust us on that. We are not like the Grays who are greedy and profit on the misfortune of others." This time, Doctor Wallace sounded like a stern doctor.

The doctor noticed that the three had already donned their protective gear.

"Let’s go."

The doctor led them out of the room, and the four of them entered the adjacent room where General Jones was.

General Jones was awake and reading a tablet. Half of his bed was reclined at a 30-degree angle, so he was half sitting and half lying on his hospital bed.

"It is good that you have recovered quite well, General Jones." Leon greeted him.

General Jones frowned.

"Why, the frown? You looked older with those many creases on your forehead."

"I am disappointed with the outcome of Operation Sunrise. Just as when my team was about to subdue the hostage takers, the men of Defense Minister Black came and apprehended the hostage takers. They were the ones who released the hostages and gave the clearance that they could go home." General Jones said sullenly.

"It is a setup, General. From the start, they wanted to release the hostages to create a pandemic. They are raising money for a bigger plan while at the same time disrupting the economy and placing the world in chaos." Leon narrowed his eyes as he shared his thoughts seriously.

General Jones studied Leon. Indeed, he was special and not just a guard. If he had doubted the authenticity of the tattoo earlier, his doubts were totally obliterated.

"So, who do you think is the brain behind chaos?" General Jones probed.

"It’s Defense Minister Black," Leon uttered casually.

Doctor Wallace’s eyes widened, and his eyeballs almost popped out of their sockets.

"Young man, you should be careful when making such an allegation. Don’t you know you could be jailed for slandering the defense minister?" Doctor Wallace reprimanded him. He sounded like a father scolding his son.

"But he is not speculating. What Leon said is true. It is indeed the defense minister." Princess Amaya interjected while continually browsing her phone. Her thumb swiped upwards as she read her phone.

"There is material evidence submitted anonymously that incinerated Defense Minister Black. He was the leader of the South Uropan faction of the Dark Phoenix. The only problem is, he is lying comatose in the hospital as he suffered from a stroke and heart attack.

General Jones was taken aback as he listened to the Princess reciting the highly classified information. He couldn’t believe how she had obtained it, as such information should only be accessible to individuals within the Alliance.

"Which website are you looking at?" He asked with a trembling voice.

"General Jones, this is the Alliance of the Four Continents’ website. I regret to inform you that a hacker has compromised the Alliance’s secret website, and sensitive information is now accessible on the Hacker Alliance website." Princess Amaya lifted her head and glanced at General Jones.

"At this time, the information has remained within the confines of the Hacker Alliance and has not been disclosed to anyone else. However, should an offer to purchase the information at an acceptable price be made, there is a possibility that the information will be sold."

General Jones studied Princess Amaya for a long time, which displeased Leon. He inserted himself between the General and the Princess.

General Jones glared at him.

"The way you read the article shows you are on their website. Are you a hacker, Princess? Why do you have access to their website?" The General shifted to avoid the body that previously blocked his view of the princess.

Princess Amaya was taken aback by the General’s question.

"I just came across their website, General Jones. It is by accident."

Princess Amaya could not reveal her status as an esteemed member of the Hacker Alliance. She possessed exclusive access to their website, including a covert page reserved for the top 5% of the alliance’s members. She had gotten the news there.

After Marx vanished without a trace two years ago, she withdrew from the world, immersing herself in solitude. During this period, she delved into the realm of computers, eagerly learning the art of hacking with the hope of uncovering any sign of Marx’s whereabouts. Despite her efforts, she was unable to find any trace of Marx.

She took Ren and Ava under her wing. Ren, a natural prodigy, quickly rose through the ranks to become the third-best hacker in just a few months. The number one hacker, known only by the nickname XX, had been inactive for two years.

The second on the list was nicknamed Venus. She occupied the spot for just a year before retiring and becoming an honorary member.

The number three hacker was Ren. He moved up to number 1 because the 2nd spot became vacant and the no. 1 hacker was inactive.
