Chapter 86: Chapter 86: Visiting old friends

The day passed and night broke in.

Fengyu looked around his field and asked Zimu to feel the presence of peace in the region.

After the last Beast Attack he had gained a general understanding of Zimu’s Peace Seeking –

It was less like a divination of the future and more like a combination of general movement of the past and the combined presence of various things that are able to suppress every danger Zimu is able to feel.

The city has remained where it was in peace for over 10,000 years, and it seems like there are quite many cultivators and probably weapons and formations to keep it at peace.

Of course the general peace might benefit Fengyu, but whether he will be attacked and die is a different matter...

When on the move, the peace-seeking seems to have entered a different mode of sensing direct dangers and threats to the peace, which was the reason Fengyu took him out with him this time.

Zimu told him that the forest was without peace as always, but many more spots of un-peacefulness appeared.

In his vision, it was like looking at a map with countless black holes sucking away the peacefulness, so their presence was quite strong.

"Are any of them moving towards me?" Fengyu asked as he rushed to the forest northeast of the village.

"Quack, it seems like there are many smaller positions who only carry a bit of un-peacefulness. Some of them turned to you for a moment before returning to their position."

"Hmm... they should be the sentries of the village. We don’t have to worry about them, they’ll only think I’m a Beast Hunter entering the forest to hunt or something like that."

Fengyu moved quickly and his guess seemed to be right.

Soon, he entered the forest truly and walked deeply into it, his steps rapid as he cast the Wind Steps Spell.

Hours passed as he moved extremely fast, sometimes avoiding various beasts sleeping in the trees or small hills.

After some time he finally arrived at his goal –

A larger hill among the many around, the trees around it cleared.

He stepped out and instantly heard a woof from his side.

Two wolves popped up, looking at him threateningly.

Just then, one of them stepped forward and blocked the other wolf, "Woof?"

"Haha, it seems you remember me. Yes, it’s me. Is your leader here?"

"Woof woof! Woooof!" the wolf jumped excitedly and turned to the other wolf, telling it to quickly get the leader.

"Woof, woof?"

"Woof woof! Woof, woof, woof!" the wolf explained that this man was the Green Healer!

"Woof? Woof!" the wolf turned to Fengyu in shock, his posture changing to one of admiration, his tail flicking side to side slightly.

Then it hurriedly ran to the side of the hill.

A few moments later, it came back alone with a loud bark, calling Fengyu to come and go with him.

"I never went to the other side, is the situation so bad?" Fengyu was curious and followed the wolf.

Going around the hill, on the other side, he saw a large entrance into a cave.

Quite some wolves were keeping watch.

When he saw them, most of them knew him and greeted him with a kind woof, allowing him to pass.

The cave was quite dark initially, but as he went in further, he saw several shining grasses lighting up on the ground.

"This is the Spiritual Grass? Shining a bit in the dark, well it makes sense that they’re difficult to find in the wilderness. After all, with such a bright light, it is quite inviting to the inhabitants of the forest."

Fengyu had already given all his grass to his ducks.

By now, only Silver Feather and Zimu were still at the early stage.

He walked further into the cave until it opened up into a larger space, Fengyu could see that the whole hill was hollowed inside.

"Woof!" just then he heard a worried woof.

Looking over, he saw it was a late-stage wolf!

"You’re the mate! What happened?" Fengyu asked after realising this was the alpha wolf’s mate who had treated him quite well in the past.

"Woof woof, woof... woof woof?"

"Your mate has been injured and you want me to see whether I can heal him? How did this happen?" Fengyu was quite surprised and followed the mate rapidly into a smaller cave section, the largest section with three guarding wolves.

When they saw him, they also looked quite surprised and even a bit delighted.

Entering the cave, Fengyu instantly smelled an extremely strong odour of blood.

He became serious and walked further into the cave –

At the end of the cave, a huge wolf, over two metres tall, could be seen stretched on the ground, a wound stretching on his side.

It was the same place where Fengyu had made an artificial wound in the past, but now, it was an extremely deep gash – Fengyu could see it to the bones!

"Wooooof?"

A woof sounded from the wounded giant wolf, whose head barely turned to Fengyu.

"Woof, woof?"

"No, no one called me."

"Woof woof!" the mate spoke, saying she was about to go out and call Fengyu, but she had been slower than him.

"Woof!" the alpha wolf said seriously, "Woof, woof woof!"

"Yeah, he’s right. There are many sentries laying guard outside the village, all looking out for beasts. It’s best not to attract their attention right now.

It doesn’t matter, tell me what happened! I’ll try to see whether I can heal your wound!" Fengyu stopped the discussion and approached the huge gash, his hands stretching out.

Without hesitation, he touched the wound right away and cleaned it slightly, trying to clear it to his vision.

When he did so, he saw that the gash was extremely weird –

It looked like a whipping wound, yet at the same time, there were small claw marks and bite marks at the edge...
