Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 102: The Demonic Family Jewels
He only had two ideas on why he couldn't see the demon's health, and the most likely culprit was what Caedia had mentioned earlier.
It was immortal, so naturally, unless he destroyed all the demonic cores, it would remain alive forever.
What a troublesome enemy... Rael thought with a sigh. I wish my Primordial Sight skill could see its core, but sadly that's not the case.
"Rael." Seryn tapped on his shoulder. "It's a Wrath-type demon. It has a lot of physical power, and it grows stronger the more damage we deal to it. However, it also has pretty poor durability, so all we need to do is cut it apart and find its cores."
"What an infodump." Rael whistled. "I understand. I can probably blast its body to bits—you can deal with the rest."
Truthfully, he would prefer killing this thing, but the amount of stats he would get from something like a General Class monster—a level 125 at that—wouldn't exactly be worth it.
Therefore, even an assist was enough.
"Caedia, are you going to participate?" Rael asked, staring at her through the windshield. "Or do you at the very least want to warm my seat?"
She sighed, and almost as if it were a chore, she stepped out of the car and headed toward the two of them.
"I don't understand why we're even doing this. Let's just leave the demon alone—the Depths will naturally purge it," Caedia said plainly. "So what I'm basically saying is that this is a waste of time."
Rael shrugged. "Even if it's a waste of time, I've never actually seen a demon before. So what do you say we go fight it, and if it looks like we're about to lose, we dip?"
"I refuse," Seryn said firmly. "We at the Blue Dragon Sect take care of the demonic forces, whether it is demonic cultivators or even demons incarnate. I will not turn a blind eye to such behavior."
"That's a bit righteous, don't you think?" Rael commented with a tilt of his head. "But sure man, I'll scrape your corpse off the ground with a spatula, I promise."
Seryn scoffed, then shot a glance at both Rael and Caedia before suddenly dashing off toward the demon.
"Mate, I think you're forgetting we don't have a plan?" Rael called out, but Seryn didn't reply and merely kept going.
Soon, he leapt into the sky and transformed himself into a beam of lightning. He swiftly struck down on the demon's colossal body. However, apart from making a truck-sized hole in it, Seryn didn't do much.
In fact, that injury healed in less than a second, and as it did, the demon finally took notice of their presence.
"Well shit..." Rael sighed. "Fuck the plan I guess. Caedia, try to cut off its arms—even if temporarily—I'm going to try a little something."
That little something was, of course, his imagination.
Seryn proceeded to attack the demon's legs, and in the meantime, Caedia finally arrived, jumped up, and with a swift slash, cut off the demon's arms.
But once again, they healed up instantly.
However, that was fine, as with the short amount of time that the two had bought him, Rael swiftly attempted a new combination.
Flames and anti-heal.
It was a simple concept but with a more reinforced idea. He would send out a hot flame, and after it connected with the target, it would attempt to gnaw at its injuries—literally not going out unless the demon were to rip out its entire arm at the shoulder.
Therefore, Rael swiftly tapped his black string.
<Black String: Wail of the Drowned>
<The enemy's magic defense is reduced by 120% for 5 seconds!>
And with that, the red string immediately sent out a glowing blue note.
However, Rael didn't make it land on the demon just yet, as he proceeded to wait—until eventually, Seryn had landed a clean blow on its stomach, creating a massive hole.
Rael didn't sleep on the opportunity and quickly guided his blue note toward the open wound, which, upon making contact with the demon's black skin, expanded into swirling blue flames that enveloped its stomach.

The modifier on the damage was pretty bad. However, it seemed to have worked wonders, as the demon no longer healed.
"Seryn, unless you want to crawl up the demon's ass and get its demonic cores, I suggest you get them now," Rael said plainly, and with an annoyed look, Seryn soon proceeded to gather all his mana into his fists.
And then, like a bolt of thunder, he struck with his palm, decimating the demon's upper body, leaving everything under the hole in the stomach intact.
However, what he had just destroyed soon began healing itself.
"The demonic cores aren't up top—they're below," Seryn remarked with a conflicted look.
The moment he did, Rael's brows furrowed.
Two demonic cores... below? No way... Rael's eyes widened, and without even sparing a moment, he sent out a plain Violin Blade note, infusing it with only fire.
And as for where it was headed?
Well...

Dogshit...
"W-Woah..." Caedia exclaimed, glancing back at him. "How did you know?"
"If I had two precious jewels, I'd hide them in my balls too," Rael remarked with a chuckle before freezing. "Not that I'm going to hide anything in my balls—that seems a little too steep for my comfort."
"Right..." Caedia rolled her eyes. "Good job, I guess?"
Rael nodded at her with a wide grin and then turned to Seryn.
However, it seemed like something was off about him, as he was staring at the demon's dissolving corpse silently.

"Hey Seryn?" Rael called out. "You alright, bud?"
However, as Seryn turned around, Rael was greeted by two black eyes, and of course...
