The next morning, when Stone is moving around the streets following the target, Sam arrived in front of him. However, Stone wasn't able to identify Sam at all. Because Sam is wearing a disguise. He held the staff, he used when was forced to stay in Sivan's body, he is also wearing the same clothes as Sivan and of course, even his face is covered with mask and cloak.

His elemental energies were also hidden.

Stone almost attacked him when Sam arrived sneakily.

"Why are you disguised, boss?"

Sam recognized the person who is acting as the representative. He is a small time guy in the noble league and he is purely here based on the instructions.

"The champion will arrive in a few seconds, your honor."

Right when he finished the sentence, the door opened a dozen people or so arrived. In the lead is Christos and along with him is the champion of the victim and a very familiar face… or rather a mask.

It is White.

That's right. Christos tried to convince White and that took him three days to even get a meeting. Surprisingly, White was convinced pretty quickly and he agreed to be the champion for the next target.

By now people stopped counting how many people Stone has mangled up, all they want is for this to stop now.

If even White can't do anything, then the Noble league and Zeus Academy will have to take some extremely drastic measures even at the expense of being ridiculed.

Stone looked at White and his expression changed. Now he understood why Sam wanted to tag along. This is indeed going to be interesting. However, what he couldn't comprehend is why Sam wanted to disguise himself.

Even his walking style and aura has changed.

"Our champion has arrived. White will be fighting instead of the victim."

Stone looked at Sam who nodded.

Stone turned to the judge and said.

"I am also choosing a champion." His announcement stumped the opponents. Including White. The main reason he agreed to this is because he will get to fight Stone. From what he heard about the fight Stone had at the ceremony, his abilities are unique.

And the videos he later saw, it only increased his curiosity. He noticed that Stone's abilities rely a lot on the surrounding spiritual energy. White's abilities are also very much dependent on the surrounding energy.

So, he is curious and wanted to test himself against Stone.

He is also very confident about winning. After all, from what he saw through those videos, Stone might be good with his unique abilities, but his battle prowess and IQ are glaringly lacking. It is apparent to a truly experienced eye.

He is sure that he can defeat Stone.

But both of these plans are subverted with this new presence.

Sam stepped up and raised his staff. He didn't speak, but his intention is pretty clear for everyone to see.

"Alright. This is new. For good or worse, I could use this kind of change. I was starting to think my life has become mundane." The judge muttered out as he processed the trial.

Soon, they are in the arena with the referees and a bunch of audience from the Noble league as well as some of Sam's friends that are acting as the flaming skulls organization.

Sam stepped on the stage and White slowly walked up.

"Who are you? What is your name?"

White asked. Sam didn't speak. He just looked at White, waiting for the referee to signal the start of the fight. White didn't show any emotion, or he did, but it is not visible on his face. The referee soon came on to the stage and signaled the start of the match.

White's signature start. He kicked the ground with a recoil hit and propelled himself towards the opponent. Sam's staff lit up and an energy bullet shot out. White blocked the bullet, not wanting to changing his trajectory.

However, it is not exactly a good idea. The explosion made his energy circulation unstable and he had to stop in his tracks. He reacted quick enough and changed his posture to land firmly on his two legs. Just to make sure that this energy circulation disturbance wouldn't throw him to the ground and serve him up to the opponent.

That would be a tragic sight to see otherwise. After all, a freshman tournament runner up getting his ass handed to him in the first second of the fight with an unknown person? Imagine that.

He immediately regained his footing and once again charged forward. This time, he is a lot more vigilant and willing to dodge.

The three energy bullets were dodged nicely and he came close to Sam. However, the next second he felt an energy impact hit him in the chest. An energy wave with Sam's staff as the center hit him in the chest and slowed him down.

From the aura the attack showed, he thought it would be dangerous, but to his surprise, nothing happened, except for his slight distraction.

With a recoil hit, White dodged, but weirdly enough the beam took a turn and followed him. He frowned under his mask.

He stabbed the air with his cane and the energy recoiled. He was shot backward while the resulting energy wave deflected the energy that came at him. He watched the opponent with surprise.

Sam who noticed this, smiled. Once a puzzle is solved, it is much easier to find alternate ways to play with it again and the one he thought of is using his energy bullets. White noticed Sam's laid back attitude. If he knew the other party is Sam, he would have turned the whole place upside down. It is one thing to lose to Sam when Sam went all out, but if he really gets overwhelmed by this extent, it will be a much bitter pill to swallow.

Sam took a deep breath and started conjuring an energy bullet. But this time it is not a spiritual energy bullet, instead it is of Divine energy and he conjured it slowly as if he wanted to make sure that every step of the process and every grain of energy is gathered with utmost focus. Of course, when White noticed the Divine energy, he knew he has to move.

Recoil hit and charge forward, this time his posture is different. His legs are far apart and he slid on the air, but very close to the ground. His body leaned down. He is currently half his original height. S

An energy beam shot out of the staff's midsection. White tapped his cane on the ground…

The explosion of the recoil hit spun white as he moved forward like a spinning bullet. He closed the distance at an unexpected rate and he missed the beam at hair's breadth. Sam couldn't dodge it. He had to block it. *BOOm*

An energy wave and White is ready with a counter. A recoil hit changed his trajectory as he came on top of the energy wave. Sam managed to find the time to dodge. All this while. The divine energy orb is being slowly conjured.

White didn't understand why Sam is conjuring the orb at such a slow pace, but he knew better than let himself lose in that thought. His best solution at the moment is to make sure that Sam cannot conjure it fully.

What happened next looked more like a chess match rather than a fight. White tried to catch Sam, while Sam dodged and countered while focusing on the orb.

The audience on the other hand are in a shocked state. Except for Stone. Stone already knew that Sam is the best there is, but the rest didn't.
