Dayus kept on search for the rest of the day and found a few more beasts with his spear. Both in terms of the sheer number and in terms of his own personal goal, he is at a satisfactory level.

Sam on the other hand, just focused on examining this place and he even gained a lot of insights on the possible conjuring spots of the elemental creatures.

He even gained inspiration for some training areas that he could use in Dusk.

By the end of the day, he still hadn't noticed any anomaly regarding the legacy inheritance though. If only he could meet Dayus once, but he knew that it will be very hard to meet him until the third day and there is a chance that it could be too late before that. The whole day passed with him mulling over those thoughts.

There was no day or night in the pocket dimension, but everyone was clearly aware of how much time they spent here. Even if they didn't the dimension had a special way to remind them.

At the end of the first day, the time that marked the midnight of the first day…

A huge bell sound could be heard all over the pocket dimension.

Everyone looked at the huge glowing sun that was over up in the sky. That's where the sound came.

After the sound, the sun showed a few names in the sky.

White- 485 kills - 4 stars

Dayus- 470 kills - 4 stars

Night Ghost- 468 Kills - 4 stars

Five elemental king - 460 - 4 stars

…

The leaderboard was announced. Everyone with a mediocre intelligence can understand how the starts being measured. Every hundred kills conjured a star. Only the top ten were announced though and Sam's name was nowhere to be seen. Apart from White and Dayus, the rest of them were all his friends.

Sam looked at the three orbs that are floating around.

Two of them were bigger than the third one. He only had two hundred and sixty kills. But Sam wasn't dejected. In fact, he would have been surprised if he ranked in the top ten at his pace. He was also surprised to see that the different between his score and the top scores was only two hundred kills.

He even felt a bit disappointed with the performance of his friends. The creatures were nothing difficult. In fact, they were pretty easy to deal with. So, they could have sped up a bit more. He even had half a mind to lecture them about it.

Sam thought up to the point and decided to take a break.

He sat down on a rock and just looked into the horizon with energy vision. However, this time he modified the technique a bit. Instead of using regular energy vision, he modified it with purely fire elemental energy.

He even activated his roc bloodline to increase the effectiveness of the eyes.

If only he could use his observation on the whole dimension at the same time. He isn't that powerful yet.

He controlled a few small pebbles as he focused his gaze, he decided to increase his height, so he conjured earth elemental energy to increase the altitude of the rock. A lot of people could see Sam and the growing stone pillar beneath him. With his current cultivation level, his energy vision could cover a decent distance.

He looked at the horizon and noticed that a participant was running in certain direction. He threw one of the pebbles in that direction.

*SWOOSH*

The pebble whistled through the air and landed a few meters away from the participant and from that exact same spot, a wolf elemental creature rose. It looked around like a rabid animal and noticed the pebble infused with Sam's spiritual energy.

The participant was stunned.

One of the reasons, this place is dangerous is that the creatures always ambush them. They won't appear unless the participant is in a certain range and before appearance they cannot be detected.

That is one of the patterns Sam observed and of course, if there is a pattern, there should be some indicators along with it. That is what he research for a long time.

*SWISH*

Another pebble flew and landed at the bank of a stream.

An alligator came out of the water and the participant who was just going there to take some rest, jumped up in fright. If he did as he planned to do, then his leg would have been alligator food.

Sam repeated the process a couple of times more and he accurately predicted where the creature was about to manifest. The next moment, his body changed. He activated light elemental fusion. Not a partial fusion, rather complete fusion and shot himself into the air.

*SWOOSH*

The whistling sound of his movement resounded throughout his surroundings. The stars and the fragment that he had with him, moved at the same speed. Two laser beams were shot from his eyes and they landed at a certain spot a few hundred meters away from him.

*ROAR*

A big wild cat appeared out of the spot, while roaring in anger and rage. The moment it manifested.

*HISS*

A hole appeared in its head. Sam didn't even shoot a beam at its head, instead he just ran through it. The star fragment manifested and at an incredible speed it shot towards Sam and merged with the incomplete star.

By the time it could even merge, he already destroyed a second creature, not too far away from that place.

In two seconds, he destroyed two creatures and he didn't intend to reduce his speed anytime soon. For the next thirty minutes, many people witnessed as Sam just shot through the realm collecting the fragments.

Its like he was a kid on a sea shore. Picking up the sea shells after a very generous high tide.

They felt even the pocket dimension is favoring him.

Sam continued for a while and after the first thirty minutes, he finally found an anomaly that he was looking for.

One thing he noticed about the manifestation of the creatures was that the energy concentration as the places they manifested has always been constant. The energy was same for the wolf, alligator, the wild cat.

And when the day changed, the energy and in turn the strength of all these creatures increased a bit. But even then, there is one thing in common. All of them possessed same level of energy and strength. However, at one particular spot, he noticed that the energy concentration has become higher.

And he deactivated the fusion for a moment to take activate his energy vision once again. He threw a small attack at the spot making the creature awaken. It was a wolf, it looked just like the ones he killed before.

Even the strength felt the same.

At least for the most part. His observant nature and his sensitivity to the energy made him thing otherwise though. The energy concentration of this creature is definitely higher than the rest. On top of that, there is one more difference.

The spot where the star fragment was located, it is glowing with a bright red color instead of the usual glow he saw since the start of the dimension.

This creature is definitely different.

*SWISH*

Sam cut its head off and the fragment merged with his incomplete star fragment. He focused his energy vision on it. To his surprise the white colored regular glow didn't increase, instead within the orb a smaller orb was created with bright red color.

Sam couldn't help but smirk. He is sure that he came up on with something.

*CRACK*

His joints popped as he stretched as a bit and activated the fusion again.

Now, the true hunt began.

The participants saw a golden flash moving past them. That is all, and the surrounding area experienced a sudden decrease in the appearance of the creatures. At the same time, within that hour, a change happened in the leaderboard.

Sam's score kept on increasing bit by bit and he arrived at the top ten. At the same time, he already gathered ten creatures with these red colored star fragments. The small orb within the star is increasing in its size and it is becoming more full.

Even though everyone was trying their best to kill their way into increasing their ranking, Sam's speed was too much for anyone to catch up and even for the top rankers to keep their place in check.

Dayus who saw the leaderboard change, frowned.

"It seems like he is solely focusing on the game. I was a bit anxious, when I didn't see his name there."

That's right, Dayus was anxious instead of happy when he saw his own name on the leaderboard without Sam's name. He is not an idiot to believe that Sam is not strong enough or doesn't have enough skills and means to increase his ranking.

He was afraid that Sam might have been in search of the legacy inheritance.
