It didn't take much, just some shots and another of the gunmen was down, his forehead carrying a hole.

Now it was just two people left and before I could go after either, Lin peeped from behind the door.

"Sir"

"What do we have in our data that is so important highly trained professionals will be sent after us."

A complicated look came over Lin's face at my question and I shook my head as I saw her struggling to conjure a response.

I had been called for an emergency in Michigan and unless and law and order ceased to exist in the US, fighting five professional gunmen in a law firm was not it.

"Wait here."

With three men dead, there were two left, one in the data room and the other in descending from the roof.

At this point, whether through the sound of my gun shots or through communication devices, both gunmen had become alerted of my presence.

My initial plan was to wait for them, but the gunmen who should be a hacker, other than taking out a pistol remained in the data room while the other descended from the roof moved too slowly.

I didn't have time to waste, so I pushed forwards and went hunting.

With a relaxed and timed pace, I moved to the end of the corridor infront of me, taking a left and after reaching the end of this new corridor, I placed my back to the wall and waited.

Despite the situation, I had no worries, but then the something wsa thrown in my diorection, down the corridor, and there was flash.

"Fuck"

At first totally not expecting be hitting by a flash bang, I rapidly retreated. Mind vision still gave me visuals of my surroundings, but the sudden loss of vision had my insticnts taking over.

In my mind I watched my opponent, this one wearing a black mask, rapidly move through the hallway his plan to clearly use this moment of impairment take me out, but fighting of my scare I recoverd in time and just as he appeared we both pulled on our trigger.

One bullet hit the man on the thigh and another on his shoulder, sdnign him falling to the ground.

The gunmen let out a roar, rasing his gun and firing, but with ease I took a step to the left, escaping his shit and the moving forward shot his left hand which held the gun.

"Fuck" The gun man cried finding his left hand useless. His right hand was better but it had a shot in the shoulder and seeing that his chances were not good he turned to flee.

Bang!!

Before he could leave my sight I shot him in both his thighs, and reaching him, I broke both his arms and grabbing his right leg, returned to conference room.

"Sir" Lin peeked outside the door looking at the trail of blood behind me and the man whose leg I still had in my hand.

"Bind him and watch him."

"You've been shot" Lin informed me, her eyes on my left arm where there was a patch of blood, this reminding me of my earlier reaction.

"How embarrassing."

Leaving the woman, I moved to the left this time headed for the data room, finding my self having to descend to the floor below before arriving before a metal door and with a single kick sending it down.

"That actually hurt" I wiggled my leg which felt numb.

The room before me was pitch black, the only sound in it coming from the big working processors.

"Surrender." I said.

Of course I didn't expect the enemy to comply and the next second from wthin bullets were flying at me and I could only dive to the left getting behind a tall glass and beginning to walk wihtint the darkness.

"You know you're doomed right"

My opponete was relying on the sound of my footsteps, to detect my location, but me, I could see him, and when I went around the tall glass and entered a path that led straight to him, I moved forward.

Previously he could shoot me because the light from outside the room shone on my figure but now he was just aiming into the darkness and riddling the machines in the room with holes.

"Denise won't be happy " I told myself as I sailed through the air.

I mean how could he expect that rather than run at him I just jumped high up and let myself shoot through the air at him, a human missile.

Of course eventually he realized the disturbance in the air, but by then, collision.

I drove my feet into the bastard's head, sending him flying and crashing into a large fan behind.

A hit to the head is usually fatal and when I walked towards the gunman , I found him well passed out.

Before taking him out of the room, I moved to the back of the data room, particularly where the gunman had set his working tools.

"There you are"

First I destroyed the jammer, and then tapped on the laptop he had connect to

the firm's server.

"Firewall, firewall, password"

Unfortunately, before coming to meet him, the man had locked his computer and with a sigh, I could only unplug it's USB connection with the server.

Returning to the man, I grabbed him by his collar of his combat suit and pulling his body across the ground return to the conference room.

"Sir It's Mr's Harther" Lin said just as I arrived, a phone in her hand. it seemed she had been keeping a look out on the network service.

"Denise" I called and there was silence on the other side for some seconds before a reply.

"Marcus. How are you."

"Five armed professional and a gunshot to my arm, this state hates me. How are you holding up"

"Fine, I'll be concluding buisness here after tomorrow and heading back to michigan" Denise answered.

"Good. We'll have a chance to talk about this new development.

You know what to do right."

"Yes"

Ending the call, I passed the phone to Lin who looked like she still had several words to say to Denise.

"You can talk to her later. Bind him."

Nodding Lin quickly did as I said, and then I asked for a ride.

The initial plan was for Lin to take to me Giggs but with the incident that had just occurred at the firm, It was clear I would have to drive myself.

Driving out of the car park in a white ford some minutes later, I had just gotten on the road and take out my phone to call Giggs when I was hit with a feeling of danger and immediately stepped on the breaks.
