Re: Strongest Necromancer with the Extraction Talent-Chapter 48: A Drop of Blood
Chapter 48: A Drop of Blood
Kai raised his eyebrows in surprise, then looked at Elias with a smile. "It seems that you will be able to take your revenge in no time."
Elias twitched his lips and shook his head helplessly. "It’s going to be hard since they should’ve become much stronger."
"Don’t worry, we’ll let them live a little bit longer." Kai waved his hand dismissively, then looked at Armand and asked. "Which way are the Royal Crest Academy admissions and the auction taking place?"
"The Royal Crest Academy admissions will be held in Sunspire City; it’s northwest from here. As for the auction, it will be held in Dawn City; it’s east of here." Armand explained.
Kai nodded and said to the father and son. "Alright, we’ll leave right away for the Royal Crest Academy admissions."
"I’ll let Elias come here once in a while, don’t worry." Kai chuckled when he watched both of them hug each other with tears as if this would be their last time seeing each other.
"Thank you." Armand wiped the tears and patted Elias’ shoulder. "Be careful, son. Don’t die again because he can’t resurrect you for the second time."
Armand worried, remembering Kai’s words when he said that he couldn’t resurrect his undead again.
Looking at Kai and his son, who rode the fire lion away, Armand sighed and went toward the other awakeners who had been waiting for him at a distance.
"Town chief, where are they going? They look in a hurry." A middle-aged man asked.
"Kai said that he will go to Sunspire City to join the Royal Crest Academy." The town chief replied.
The middle-aged man frowned and said, "But why are they heading east?"
"..."
’Now that you mentioned it, they really did go west.’ The town chief palmed his forehead.
"Should we chase them?" The middle-aged man asked.
"If you’re confident in chasing the peak 2nd Echelon Rank Beast, then go ahead." The town chief rolled his eyes and ignored him.
...
’Why is he so dumb?’ The tiger cub opened one of his eyes before slapping his tail lightly on Kai’s temple.
However, this time it didn’t have any strength, and Kai only felt like he was slapped softly by the tiger’s tail.
"What?" Kai snorted, then asked. "Why are you following me, by the way?"
The tiger cub ignored him as he continued his sleep.
Kai clicked his tongue, feeling frustrated with this dangerous beast since he didn’t know its purpose and he couldn’t chase it away as it seemed to be extremely strong.
"This...Um—Master, whose pet is this tiger cub?" Elias hesitated and asked Kai as he scratched his head.
Kai tilted his head, looking at Elias weirdly. "First of all, don’t call me master. It’s weird for me to hear that from your mouth. Secondly, I don’t know either."
Kai stopped for a second and continued with a wicked smile. "You can ask him if you want."
Elias shuddered when he remembered the moment when Kai was slapped casually by the tiger cub.
"Let me call you. young master then." Elias said and explained. "I don’t know why, but I felt something was off when I tried to call you casually, even though I can talk to you casually."
"Do whatever you want." Kai replied before thinking to himself as he wondered if he should bind the fire lion or not.
However, what Kai had never expected when he was still lost in his thoughts was that the tiger cub suddenly suggested him out of nowhere.
"Just bind him. Why do you even bother to spend a lot of time on something so obvious?" The tiger opened his eyes and looked at him weirdly.
Kai was stunned, then frowned and looked at the tiger. "Why? Give me a good reason because this thing is important to me."
"Are you stupid? You’re still really weak. So, don’t think too much because you don’t have many options right now." The tiger looked at him weirdly, as if looking at an idiot. "Besides, this little lion isn’t that bad either since it has a decent bloodline."
"Well... You’re right, but still, it’s still a little bit worse compared to Elias." Kai replied, thinking that the lion’s amplification rate shouldn’t have reached 2.8x twice like Elias. The reason why its stats were higher was because of its bloodline.
"What if I could help you in enhancing its bloodline? It should be able to make the lion surpass Elias in terms of potential at the moment." The tiger said with a smile.
Kai was surprised when he heard that it wanted to help him.
"What do you want in exchange for it? I have nothing now, and I don’t want to owe you a favor because of it." Kai knitted his eyebrows as he looked at the tiger suspiciously.
"Favor, my ass. I don’t want your useless favor. I only want good cat food. I haven’t eaten for so long that I forgot the last time I had a meal." The tiger snorted and drooled unknowingly when he imagined good food.
"Sure. I will buy you a lot of good food until you’re satisfied if you could really enhance its bloodline." Kai replied immediately without thinking about it too much.
"Really? Alright then." The tiger opened his eyes widely, then bared his teeth fiercely—cutely, to be more precise. "You better not lie to me, or else... I will poke you to death."
Kai rolled his eyes away. "Don’t worry, I’m rich in my world. It’s not a problem for me to buy you some food until you’re satisfied."
The tiger ignored Kai and looked at the sky, narrowing his eyes for a few seconds before nodding his head satisfiedly. "This one is the best option available right now."
The tiger cub then punched out his small hand, creating a spatial crack beside Kai’s space as some of his hand was inside it.
At the same time...
Somewhere in the 6th heaven, there was a huge lion roaming around a vast mountain range.
Its appearance was similar to the undead Fire Lion, except for the fact that it had a flame mark on its forehead.
As it wandered around, it noticed a small crack in the space appeared ahead of it and stopped for a second, wondering why there was suddenly a spatial crack.
The moment it saw a little paw coming out of the spatial crack, it suddenly ran right as it sensed an extreme danger.
"Little guy, you can’t run." A voice reverberated in the surroundings the moment the little paw pointed its claw toward the lion.
In those few seconds, the lion had run miles away.
Unfortunately, the lion still met its end when a big nail appeared above it and poked its head, exploding its head and killing the lion instantly.
The nail then expanded and became a paw before the paw made a pinching move.
The huge carcass immediately compressed continuously and stopped when it had become as small as a ball.
A second later, the ball compressed again and started to become a red liquid, or, to be more precise, a drop of blood.
Subsequently, the little paw in the distance opened its paw, and the blood flew toward it in an instant.
"Here, ask the little lion to eat it." The tiger cub retracted its hand from the spatial crack and handed a drop of blood from its paw to Kai.
