Rebirth as The Billionaire's Seventh Wife-Chapter 55: He Never Came Home
Chapter 55: He Never Came Home
Aurora didn’t mind if Alex didn’t come home; she preferred not to eat with him.
It would definitely feel awkward, and she wouldn’t be able to enjoy her meal with him sitting across from her. Dinner with Tina made her feel more relaxed.
She could eat while listening to Tina talk about the house and share updates on the other house staff. She was delighted to hear that because she couldn’t meet them directly since they seemed to distance themselves from her.
As Aurora tried to return to her room after dinner, Tina’s voice halted her.
"Excuse me, Young Madam, I just heard some new information," Tina whispered, leaning closer to Aurora. "Mr. Alex’s personal assistant has the same first name as you, Aurora."
Aurora was taken aback, not because of the name, but because Tina had finally heard about her.
’So they’re starting to talk about me?’ she wondered as she continued listening to Tina.
"But sadly, Miss Aurora Moon died in a car accident not long ago." Tina paused briefly to take a deep breath, feeling too sad to recall what she had heard.
"I heard she was still young when she died; her car caught fire, and she perished in the flames. Even though I never met her, I feel sorrow for her soul. I pray for Young Miss Aurora Moon to rest in peace."
Tina genuinely expressed her condolences, prompting Aurora to feel her sadness as she listened. Her hands clenched tightly and grew cold beneath the table, bringing back memories of the tragic incident.
Aurora felt a little sympathy for Tina despite the painful memory of her incident. After all, it was Tina’s beloved Young Miss, Aurora Spencer, who tragically died in her sleep, drawn into the bathtub.
Once Aurora managed to suppress and calm the whirlwind of emotions inside her mind, she smiled gently at Tina.
"Oh, that’s so tragic. I’m sorry to hear that. Aunty, how do you know about that?" she asked, the words slipping out as she tried her best to maintain a calm expression.
"I accidentally overheard some staff members reminiscing about her. Some of them are even still grieving for her," Tina explained. "They sounded quite sorrowful but were instructed not to speak about her openly."
"I see..." Aurora replied softly.
"I don’t know why they forbade talking about her, but I guess Master Alex might still be grieving for losing her so quickly and suddenly. He probably doesn’t want to feel any sadness if he hears that name again."
Tina added. "Moreover, since you married Master Alex and share the same first name, all the house staff seem afraid you’ll become uncomfortable, even jealous, if you hear them mention her name near you, let alone before you."
Aurora could only laugh in her heart. In contrast, Alex refused to call her Aurora because he said she didn’t deserve that name.
It was confusing because she was the same person in a different body.
’God, I don’t know what Your plan is, but why have You placed me in this situation?’ she mused, trying to find an answer. However, the more she thought about it, the more puzzled she became.
After finishing her dinner and chatting with Tina, Aurora quickly excused herself to return to her room. She wanted to address several matters related to her past life issues.
She didn’t want to linger in sadness again. She just wanted to embrace this new life and carve out a path for her future.

Two weeks later,
Time flew quickly; two weeks had passed since Aurora became Alexander Graystone’s wife and moved into his house.
Aurora had adjusted to her new life in the house despite not having seen him again since their first breakfast together; he never came home.
Alex has not contacted her, and Alvin has not reached out either.
Once, she asked Martin about Alex’s whereabouts, and he politely answered, but only briefly: Alex was overseas.
Aurora didn’t mind Alex’s absence in the house; she carried on with her day as usual.
For the past two weeks, she had been using the fitness room on the third floor to improve her physical fitness.
Her new body was much weaker than Aurora Moon’s and had much less strength and stamina, so she needed more time to regain her strength, similar to how she had in her previous life.
She also started training in martial arts. She was glad the muscles’ memory of Aurora Moon was also included in her rebirth in Aurora Spencer’s body, so her martial arts retraining went flawlessly.
Despite her impressive martial arts skills, she hesitated to showcase them to anyone in the house, especially Josh.
She worried he would notice her expert-level movements.
What made her even happier was that she now had a supercomputer in her study.
Although her computer setup differed from the one in her stone house, she was back in business and ready to earn money. She was beginning to reestablish a foundation for her future.
For the past week, she had dedicated most of her time to preparing for her final exam.
Although she wanted to distance herself from college, she felt compelled to continue, as she needed that degree to impress Tina and those who knew her as Aurora Spencer.
However, she no longer had to deal with it because today was the last day of her exam, and she would be free after that.
The only thing left was participating in the Stardust Tech internship program, which she could not avoid.
...
"Young Madam..." Tina’s voice echoed from behind the door.
Aurora quickly got out of bed and tied her hair before letting Tina in.
"Aunty, the door is not locked; you may come in," she replied, stretching out her hand as she stood up.
"Good morning, Ma’am," Tina greeted her cheerfully. But then, her tone shifted to panic. "Oh, Ma’am, why aren’t you ready yet? Don’t you have an exam today?" she asked, confused as she approached.
Tina stood next to Aurora by the window, following her gaze toward the backyard garden.
"Hmm, today is my last studying day in college. And I am all prepared. Aunty, I’ll be down soon. You can ask Josh to prepare my car; I will leave after breakfast."
Aurora smiled calmly at Tina, trying to reassure her.
"He was prepared before the sun arose..." Tina felt relieved to see her smile. She added, "Ma’am, I will wait for you in the dining room."
"Thank you, Aunty..."
Aurora remained still in her place after seeing Tina close the bedroom door.
Her gaze returned to the stone house; the sun was already shining, and she could catch a glimpse of her home. After two weeks of staying here, she hadn’t had the chance to return there.
This frustrated her because Alex had now stationed a few men to guard that area.
