Leng Yebai looked at his phone with a calm expression, opening each QR code and slashing them one by one.

After an hour, the phone returned to silence.

After confirming the phone no longer sounded, Leng Yebai drove out of the parking lot.

Though intending to go home, he stopped at the entrance of Bai Xiqin’s neighborhood.

It was already dark.

Yet, he saw her in real life.

Leng Yebai took a deep breath, trying to calm his rapidly beating heart.

But the first time he saw Bai Xiqin, he immediately knew she was that person from his dream.

Gripping his phone, Leng Yebai quietly leaned back in his seat, feeling drowsy.

He hadn’t slept well for a long time.

That girl said, "Why don’t we die together!"

He responded with a simple "Okay."

"Shopping."

She hadn’t properly gone shopping for a long time; she wanted to have a good time.

"I’ll give you a lift. I’m going in the same direction."

Leng Yebai seemed a bit uncomfortable.

Bai Xiqin didn’t mind; she had known Leng Yebai for quite a while and knew he was a good person, so she didn’t think much of it.

"There’s a parking ticket on your car!"

After taking just a couple of steps, Bai Xiqin noticed the ticket on Leng Yebai’s car.

Leng Yebai’s face flashed with embarrassment, he walked over quickly, put the ticket in his pocket, and gentlemanly opened the car door.

He opened the passenger seat.

Bai Xiqin paused for a moment, but thinking they were ’old acquaintances,’ she thought it was alright to sit there.

So, without any hesitation, Bai Xiqin sat in the passenger seat.

Leng Yebai started the car and slowly headed towards the busiest street in the city.

"Why are you the only one out?"

Leng Yebai glanced at Bai Xiqin who was playing on her phone.

"My parents are busy, my grandparents are at home reading... books, Bai Yifan is staying at home with them," Bai Xiqin replied.

Her grandparents were at home catching up on knowledge about the apocalypse through novels.

Bai Yifan had no money; those without money didn’t deserve to shop!

After being restrained for so long in the apocalypse, Bai Xiqin wanted to go out shopping before it came.

To experience a carefree and happy life of youth.

The car fell silent again.

Holding the steering wheel, Leng Yebai considered for a while before slowly speaking.

"Have you ever been to a pristine white room?"

After saying this, Leng Yebai’s whole body tensed up a bit.

In his dream, they were trapped in a pristine white room, subjected to experiments by some unidentifiable people.

All of a sudden, without warning, the car lost control and crashed into a moving garbage truck.

The window shattered, and a large hand protected Bai Xiqin’s head.

Bai Xiqin frowned slightly, using her Control Ability superpower to envelop the shattered glass, sending the shards flying past her and Leng Yebai’s faces to the back.

Not a single piece of glass cut them.

"Are you, are you okay!"

Leng Yebai held Bai Xiqin’s head tightly.

"I’m fine, if you keep pressing my head, I’ll suffocate to death."

Bai Xiqin calmly said.

Hearing her words, Leng Yebai quickly and slowly loosened his fingers, observing her carefully, relieved to see no injuries on Bai Xiqin.

Leng Yebai opened his mouth, wanting to say something else when the concerned bystanders came rushing over.

"Quick, there are people in this dark car!"

Subsequently, someone opened the car door and "rescued" both Leng Yebai and Bai Xiqin.
