Rebirth: Building the Strongest Party with my Overpowered Harem.-Chapter 16: Join my party.
Chapter 16 - Join my party.
[You have gained a new skill.]
[Mana Heal: This skill allows you to borrow mana from your surroundings to replenish your existing mana.]
While still lying on the floor, Adonis stared at the template.
'Pretty convenient.'
Another template appeared...
[You have gained a new skill.]
[Weapon Master: This skill allows you to use any weapon you hold in combat efficiently.]
'Oh?'
He used the last of his energy to sit up on the ground, his entire body covered in bruises.
With a sigh, he looked up to see his dark soldiers positioning themselves in front of him.
[Your Healer class can now undergo an upgrade.]
Seeing this, Adonis immediately had a smile on his face.
As an F-rank healer, the most he could heal on his body would be the tiny cuts that hadn't gotten too deep into the flesh. Anything more, and it would basically be useless.
'Oh, this is good. If I can seriously up my game as a healer, I won't need to worry too much about taking damage.'
He made up his mind.
'Go ahead and upgrade it.'
[Your Healer class has been upgraded from F-rank to C-rank.]
[You can now perform these three skills...]
[1) Self Heal.
2) Healer's Touch.
3) Healing Barrier.]
Adonis didn't waste any time. He could already feel himself getting stronger, like he was being reborn.
All it took was a single word...
"Heal."
And every injury he had ever gotten began to close up like they were never there. The slight golden glow around his body was proof of his power increase.
Now fully healed, he stood up from the ground, turning his head to the next target.
Alice Grayson.
She was still lying on the ground, almost unconscious.
Judging from the state she was in, it was safe to assume that if left uncared for, she would most likely meet her end in the forest.
Standing before her, Adonis's eyes shone with a dim blue light.
"Alice Grayson." He called out to her.
Though she couldn't fully move her whole body, she still managed to look at him—those tired eyes still conveying how deeply impressed she was by what she had just witnessed.
The man who, by himself, took down an Orc King and its minions.
Without saying a word, Adonis crouched low, placing one finger on Alice's head.
"As I recall, you promised to do whatever I wanted as a way to repay me for saving you. I hope you haven't forgotten," said Adonis.
For a second, Alice's eyes widened in shock—or perhaps it was the disappointment she felt as she already knew what Adonis was going to ask of her.
'At the end of the day... I guess he is just like every other man.'
Alice closed her eyes, accepting her fate.
When it all came down to it, she needed to stay alive, no matter the cost.
And there was no telling what Adonis would do to her if she refused. In combat, he would most likely have the upper hand.
"I accept. Use me as you see fit," she responded.
Her words struck Adonis as weird, but he paid them no mind. All he knew was that she had accepted.
[Healer's Touch.]
With his finger still on her head, Adonis began to heal her.
In a matter of seconds, Alice was healed, her once-dying eyes now filled with life.
The first thing she did was leap back, trying to create some distance between herself and Adonis.
'How was he able to heal me? Is he a healer class? If so, then how was he able to fight a B-rank monster?' Alice questioned, her face hitched with wariness.
For a brief moment, Adonis took his time to stand on his feet.
"Just to be sure... Are you trying to run away?" he asked.
His tone alone was enough to make anyone feel intimidated.
Alice choked on her words before they could come out.
She averted her gaze, her hand pulling down her dress as she could be seen sweating profusely.
'This can't actually be happening right now... Am... am I seriously going to give my body to this shady man?'
Alice took another glance at Adonis before looking away again.
'No, no! I can't! I haven't done it before... It... it's my first time. It should be with someone I... someone I love...'
A single tear hung at the side of her eye, despite how hardened her expression was.
Then again, the more she thought about it, the more she realized she didn't exactly have a choice in the matter.
She steeled herself after taking a deep breath. Now she was brave enough to look at Adonis, who was just standing there like a statue.
"A promise is a promise. Not like you plan on letting me go. Fine, do as you see fit. For saving my life, I accept."
First, Alice pulled down her black cape, her eyes closed as she was about to unbutton her red top.
Suddenly, Adonis grunted.
"What the hell are you doing?" he voiced out.
"Eh?" Alice was now confused, her fingers still holding her top, which she was about to pull off.
"Are you seriously going to strip in front of me? I understand you have blood all over you, but TMI, woman," Adonis sighed, hands gently resting on his waist.
"You... you said I should repay you for saving... my life..." Alice could barely say a single sentence straight.
"Yes, I have a request I was hoping you could fulfill. How does that relate to you stripping?" Adonis replied.
Alice's face immediately turned red with embarrassment. She had most definitely jumped the gun.
She fell onto her butt, her eyes not leaving the ground as she found herself laughing from the shame.
"Are you alright?" Adonis stared in confusion.
"Just kill me."
"What?"

"It's nothing." Alice raised her gaze. "So? What is this request you want me to fulfill?"
Adonis pointed at her, his face holding every bit of seriousness he could muster.
"I want you, Alice Grayson, to join my party, Dancing Corpse."
