"Heh heh, a bunch of silly bald monks!"

Sun Wukong glanced in the direction where a group of experienced monks from the Buddhist Sect were leaving. He knew that extracting a large amount of merit and destiny from the Buddha-viewing Pagoda would attract the attention of the powerful members of the Buddhist Sect, so he had created a clone before drawing power at full strength and had it leave the Void-Breaking Realm to check on the situation.

No sooner had Tathagata Buddha and the others made their move than Sun Wukong’s clone was dispelled, his true self having received the message. He merely left a clone imbued with Cloning Divine Powers in the Buddha-viewing Pagoda and not an External Incarnation. His true self immediately rushed to the entrance of the Void-Breaking Realm and waited quietly.

Now, the skilled monks of the Buddhist Sect in the Western Heaven were mostly heading towards the Buddha-viewing Pagoda. The opportunity had come!

With a sly laugh, Sun Wukong opened the passage for leaving, swiftly dived into it, and in the next moment, the passage disappeared without a trace, sending out no ripples at all.

"Ancestral Buddha, we have brought the Holy Monk and the others back!"

The Four Great Heavenly Kings reported loudly at the entrance of the main hall, yet there were no guards by the sides of the hall, and no sound came from inside, which was quite strange. They walked into the main hall and were stunned to see it completely empty; all the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Arhats had disappeared.

"Since the Ancestral Buddha is not here, let’s come back another day," said Jiang Liu’er and his four disciples, who were right behind the Four Great Heavenly Kings. Originally, they did not wish to return to Spiritual Mountain with the Four Great Heavenly Kings, but they had followed them back on Sun Wukong’s advice to listen to his instructions. Seeing the state of the Great Thunder Sound Temple Main Hall, they instantly guessed that Sun Wukong must have caused some mischief on Spiritual Mountain to distract Tathagata Buddha and the others.

"No way! The Ancestral Buddha commanded us to bring you here for an audience, how could we postpone it?"

Upon hearing this, the Four Great Heavenly Kings frowned and vehemently refused.

"Your Ancestral Buddha is still inside the Buddha-viewing Pagoda, how can you have an audience? How about I, old Sun, take them to Flower-Fruit Mountain for a visit, and we can return another day to pay our respects?"

A mocking chuckle suddenly came from behind them, startling the Four Great Heavenly Kings. They turned around and immediately, their faces were filled with terror, for the man who walked in from outside the main hall was none other than Sun Wukong.

"Equal to Heaven, Great Sage Equalling Heaven? How did you get here?"

"What a joke! What place in these Three Realms can old Sun not go to?"

Sun Wukong laughed arrogantly, "I don’t have the time to waste words here with you. I’m taking Jiang Liu’er and the others away now, and you can try to stop us!"

Saying this, he signaled to Jiang Liu’er and his group with a look, and they, understanding his cue, immediately turned and walked towards Sun Wukong.

"Stop, you cannot leave!"

The Second Heavenly King among the Four Great Heavenly Kings tried to intervene, but Sun Wukong turned and glared at him, causing the Second Heavenly King to halt in his tracks, his pupils dilating and his body trembling, his eyes filled with utter terror.

"Hmph!"

With a cold snort, Sun Wukong continued leading Jiang Liu’er and his group out of the main hall, leaving the Second Heavenly King trembling in place, unable to move a step.

"Second brother, what’s wrong? Second brother?"

The other three Great Heavenly Kings were terrified when they saw the Second Heavenly King’s condition, not daring to stop Sun Wukong and the others. They surrounded the Second Heavenly King and shook him, and it took quite a while before he finally took a deep breath and collapsed on the ground.

The Second Heavenly King kept muttering, with his cheeks still twitching slightly. He looked at the other three Great Heavenly Kings with a puzzled expression and swallowed before saying, "You don’t know, it was really terrifying! That look, it seemed like the scariest thing I’ve ever seen!"

"Old Two, you’re really foolishly bold. That was the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, even the Ancestral Buddha couldn’t hold him back, and you dared to block him? Do you have a death wish?"

The Great Heavenly King glared at the Second Heavenly King with some reproach and sighed, "Luckily, he didn’t have a murderous intent; otherwise, all four of us might be souls returning to the Netherworld by now!"

"I heard that all four Great Heavenly Kings of the Heavenly Court have been thwarted by him, and both the Ran Deng Buddha and Maitreya Buddha have suffered great losses at his hands. You still dared to rush forward; surviving was really just good luck!"

The Four Heavenly Kings looked terrified, and the Third Heavenly King nodded repeatedly. They were the Four Great Heavenly Kings of the Buddhist Sect, different from the Demon Family’s Four Heavenly Kings of the Heavenly Court, but their strength compared to one another wasn’t much different. Facing Sun Wukong in a real fight, they were afraid they would be instantly defeated with a single move!

Outside the main hall of the Great Thunder Sound Temple, just after walking out of the hall, Sun Wukong immediately departed from his previous leisurely demeanor and urged, "Hurry, let’s leave quickly. Those bald monks have already realized they were deceived and will soon come back!"

The clones within the Void-Breaking Realm had already been dispelled, and people like the Tathagata Buddha had realized they were led on a deceitful diversion and were rushing back. If they didn’t leave quickly, they might end up being surrounded by the strong Buddhists and unable to escape!

Jiang Liu’er and the others did not dare to delay; they rushed out of the mountain gate of the Great Thunder Sound Temple, then soared up on clouds. Sun Wukong, using the power of the Void-Breaking Starry Eyes, struck twice to create a gap in the Mountain Protection Barrier of Spiritual Mountain and led Jiang Liu’er and his disciples through it, flying directly toward the Northern Continent of Cattle-grazing.

At the entrance to the Void-Breaking Realm, the temple doors burst open and a group of strong Buddhists rushed out, led by the Tathagata Buddha himself.

At this moment, the Tathagata Buddha’s face was filled with rage, utterly lacking the usual solemn and dignified expression he typically bore, making him look somewhat ferocious.

"The Mountain Protection Barrier has been damaged; that demon monkey has definitely escaped!"

As soon as the Tathagata Buddha spoke, the Four Great Heavenly Kings rushed over, knelt on the ground, and reported, "Ancestral Buddha, the Holy Monk and his disciples have been kidnapped by Sun Wukong! We are powerless, no match for that demon monkey. Please forgive us!"

The Tathagata Buddha’s eyes suddenly bulged out, shocked that Jiang Liu’er and his disciples could be kidnapped by Sun Wukong!

This was stealing the merit and destiny meant for their Western Heavenly Buddhist Sect!

After planning for so long and just at the brink of success, the spoils were snatched right under their eyes, how could the Tathagata Buddha accept this?

"Chase after them, we must take back our Buddhist Sect’s merit and destiny!"

The Tathagata Buddha was the first to take to the clouds, heading toward the Northern Continent of Cattle-grazing, followed by most of the other Buddha Bodhisattvas, except for a few with lesser strength who did not follow.

On their way to the Northern Continent of Cattle-grazing, Sun Wukong enlarged his Somersault Cloud to cover the area around Jiang Liu’er and the others, speeding forward with them. Relying on Jiang Liu’er alone, they would likely take three days to reach the Northern Continent!

"Great Saint, our scripture seeking journey doesn’t seem to have been completely finished, and the Heavenly Dao has not yet bestowed the merit and destiny. Is it really okay to leave in such a hurry?"
