Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife-Chapter 376: She decieved me big time
Stefan was losing his mind. He couldn't reach Ella. She had left the house without telling him anything, and if that wasn't enough to worry him, she had left her phone behind, leaving him with no way to contact her.
He had called everyone he could think of, hoping she was with them, but to his growing frustration, no one had seen her. He had no idea where she had gone or why she had left without a word.
"Damn it, Dove, where the hell are you?" He muttered under his breath, gripping the steering wheel tighter as he continued driving. He had already searched all their favorite spots, except one.
His car screeched to a halt in front of a park. Without wasting a second, Stefan stepped out and hurried through the tall gates, scanning the area desperately.
He prayed he would find her there. But even after searching every corner of the park, she was nowhere in sight.
Sighing in defeat, he turned to leave, but just as he reached his car, movement on the pavement caught his eye. His breath hitched.
Ella.
She was walking absentmindedly toward the park, her posture weighed down by something invisible yet heavy. She barely seemed aware of her surroundings, her steps slow and aimless.
Stefan's first instinct was to rush to her, to pull her into his arms and to demand to know where she had been. But something about the way she moved made him stop in his tracks.
Something was wrong.
Of course, it made sense. After what they had learned about Michelle, how could Ella not be shaken? But they would confront Michelle soon—he had promised her that.
Silently, he followed her into the park, keeping a fair distance as she walked deeper inside. Eventually, she found an empty bench tucked in a secluded corner and sat down.
That was when he finally joined her.
She didn't acknowledge him; she didn't even glance his way. And then, in a quiet, hollow voice, she spoke.
Her words left him absolutely baffled.
"She deceived me, big time, Stefan."
Stefan was surprised that Ella had already noticed him, but it was her words that truly caught him off guard.
He knew she was upset with her mother, but deception? That wasn't something he had expected her to say.
He remained silent, watching her closely. But the moment she lifted her gaze to meet his, her eyes brimming with unshed tears, his chest tightened. And then, in a broken whisper, she spoke again.
"She married him."
Her voice trembled, thick with anguish, and as the weight of her mother's betrayal crashed over her, the tears finally spilled down her cheeks.
Stefan felt a ripple of shock through him.
Never once had it crossed their minds that finding Michelle at Jedrick's place would lead to this. All this time, they had thought she had been abducted, forced into a situation beyond her control.
'But marriage?'
That was a betrayal neither of them had seen coming.

Ever since Stefan had called Eveline, asking if she knew where Ella was, both she and Gabriel had been restless, worrying about where Ella might have gone.
It was only when Stefan called again, confirming that Ella was back, that they could finally breathe a sigh of relief. However, he refused to give many details about her sudden departure, and they chose not to press him further.
"Ella seriously scared me," Eveline sighed, buckling her seatbelt and leaning back in her seat with relief. "But I'm just glad she's back."
"Do you want to go see her?" Gabriel asked.
Eveline shook her head. "I don't think so. I'll meet her tomorrow. I think we should give the couple some space for now."
Gabriel nodded in agreement.
"Life has been a mess ever since Jedrick came into our lives. Not a single day goes by where we can truly breathe in peace," Eveline muttered, closing her eyes.
Exhaustion weighed heavily on her, and she didn't even realize when sleep overtook her. Gabriel, seeing how worn out she was, didn't have the heart to wake her.
It was only when she stirred slightly and opened her eyes that she realized they had already arrived outside her house.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" She murmured, her voice still laced with sleep.
"I couldn't," Gabriel admitted, gently caressing her hair.
He knew the chaos in their lives had taken a toll on her mental and emotional well-being, leaving her with little to no rest. So when she had finally fallen asleep, he had chosen to let her be.

Eveline found herself momentarily speechless, her eyes locking onto Gabriel's. In the midst of all the turmoil, his presence was the one thing that grounded her, offering her a rare sense of serenity.
"What are you staring at?" she finally asked after a long pause.
"My beautiful woman," Gabriel murmured, his words bringing a soft, contented smile to her lips.
They had no idea how long they sat there in the car, lost in each other's presence. But by the time Eveline finally bid him goodbye and stepped out, her eyes immediately caught sight of her parents sitting in the living room, waiting for her.
"Eve."
Erna's voice drew Eveline's attention, and the worry in her mother's eyes formed a tight knot in her stomach.
A tense silence filled the room, thick and suffocating. Eveline's gaze flickered to her father, who sat eerily still, seemingly oblivious to her presence. But there was something unsettling about his silence.Something that sent a ripple of fear through her.
Her heart pounded. ' Whatever had happened, it wasn't good.'
Without saying a word, Eveline joined her parents, taking a seat next to her mother on the couch.
"Everything you said about Jedrick is true. He is Uncle Gerald's son," her mother revealed, her voice heavy with unease.
Eveline's breath hitched as she immediately turned to look at her father.
The weight of his silence now made perfect sense.
But what he said next left her completely stunned.
"And now... he's married to Ella's mother."
