Chapter 327 - What exactly did his Bao do? (3)

Lao Li patted him on his shoulder. “Right. Educating the children is very important. You need to get on that. He is still young right now can you can fix this. It won’t be so easy after he is grown.”

Lao Li was being nice but Cai Chenghua was not happy about anyone badmouthing his son. His face dropped immediately.

“What are you trying to say? What is wrong with my son? He’s a lovely and mature boy. He even gave me a shoulder massage yesterday.”

A colleague who didn’t get along too well with him couldn't help but rebutted, “That son of yours? You have the audacity to call him mature? The entire country knows that he was a bad seed.

“You haven’t seen the videos online yet, have you? Your son stole something and blamed it onto others. He did it all seamlessly. Smart? Yes. Too bad he didn’t use his intelligence on anything good.” This colleague too has a child and would occasionally complain about how difficult it was to raise a child. Then Cai Chenghua would brag about his son while talking down on him and that was how their animosity began.

“What stealing? My son never steals.

“Go see for yourself online. Just search under ‘bear child’. The video with the most comments is the one with your son in it.”

Cai Chenghua refused to believe him. He was just about to do the search when his manager walked over to him, not looking too pleased.

“Lao Cai, we need to talk.”

Any other day, Cai Chenghua would think that his manager wanted to offer him pointers at bettering himself. But now……

Recalling what his colleague had just told him, he became more nervous.

Sure enough, as soon as they had walked into the manager’s office, the manager’s face dropped.

“How did you raise that child of yours? The entire country knows how awful he is.

“If you can’t even raise your own child properly, how can I trust you in managing the employees? Spend some time on reflecting upon yourself and apologize to whoever you need to. Don’t drag our company’s reputation through the mud with you. We are just a small company and can’t handle this kind of publicity.”

Having said that, he couldn’t be angrier. Of course he wanted publicity for his company but not like this. The way Cai Chenghua’s wife look made him want to vomit. The way that she acted she might as well have been raising a little emperor. What was she thinking?! Before this incident, he figured that even though Lao Cai was mediocre but he was somewhat competent and he had half the heart to promote him. Now? Forget about it.

Cai Chenghua felt that he had been hit a few times by a hammer and the final one sent chill down his spine. What his manager just told him was that he had no chance of being promoted.

He was anxious and at loss. Exactly what had his Bao done?

Watching his opportunity to promote fizzled in front of him, Cai Chenghua was not okay from the knowledge of this.

His manager didn’t sound particularly harsh but his displeasure was written all over his face.

When he returned to his office, Cai Chenghua remained in his dazed state for quite a while before his soul returned to be with the livings. The first thing he did was to look up the video that his colleague had mentioned to him – the video was obviously the culprit of it all. The thought of that made him hate the person who filmed it.

Then he clicked open the video and saw his wife verbally abusing a girl and even want to grab her clothes, only to find out in the end that it was his son who stole the necklace. They had successfully embarrassed themselves in front of the entire country.

And, after what she had done, his wife still accepted the so called interview and bragged about her philosophy in child-rearing in front of the camera.

“What educating? Kids bond better when they get into small fights in their childhood. Isn’t that how we all grew up? We are all relatives. I am sure they will understand. My Bao is a nice kid. He just didn’t have a lot of toys at home. That was the reason why he liked to borrow others to play with when he came across them. Letting him play for a little while is no big deal.”

“My Bao is a good kid. If he was involved in a fight with someone else, I’m sure he wasn’t the one who started it. As such, isn’t it normal for him to fight back?”
