Chapter 400 - Slipped and Liked (1)
To many who wanted to marry into a prominent family but not good enough, Jiang DeXian was, undoubtedly, a high price-performance ratio diamond bachelor.
With his “dark history”, one did not have to worry about feeling inferior in front of him. On the other hand, he had a lot of potential. Being married to him was the equivalent of hugging a golden thigh.
Deng Lan was one of those girls. She had failed so many times in trying to marry into a wealthy family. She had dated Li ShiZe in the past and even had her family invest into him. She thought she was for certain the future wife of a CEO only to learn that all Li ShiZe did was support Jiang YaGe with her money and that Fang JunRong had severed her ties with this son.
Her role was merely that of a money-providing fool. Deng Lan dumped Li ShiZe and cut him loose before it was too late and was even praised online.
She worked hard over the last few years to maintain her reputation and shaped her image into that of a considerate White, Rich, and Pretty, and let everyone know that she was a perfect choice for a daughter-in-law of a wealthy family.
Unfortunately, after years of managing her character setting, there was still a lack of interest. At most there were those who were interested in dating her. As for the ones who were willing to marry her, none of them even measured up to the Deng family. Deng Lan, being a prideful one, needless to say had turned them all down.
At this rate, she worried that her parents would lose patience and marry her to some crude, rich boss. Deng Lan had no choice but to keep working on finding herself a suitable partner so she could make the first move.
That was when Jiang DeXian, who came out of nowhere, caught her attention. She knew that her family was not as wealthy as him but she was, after all, an innocent girl. Naturally, she was good enough for him. Besides, Jiang DeXian had no elderlies at home so she didn’t need to appease them. All she needed to do was to work on him.
Before Deng Lan could even gather her information and come up with a plan, the scandal between Fang JunRong and Jiang DeXian was already all over the net.
Deng Lan’s original thought was to stir things up a bit. Jiang DeXian, after all, had a lot of girlfriend fans with strong combat power. If she was successful in stirring things up, they would go and tear into Fang JunRong.
As prideful of a person as Fang JunRong was, the suggestiveness between the two might end just like that. Lo and behold, all these girlfriend fans who were normally extremely arrogant all became very docile in front of Fang JunRong.
In fact, their focus had been on discounts! Deng Lan tried a few times to stir things up but ended up nowhere. In fact, many accounts had been deleted, to a point that nobody else would do business with her anymore.
Especially after Jiang DeXian’s declaration. He had already announced to the world his intention to pursue Fang JunRong.
Why? Why would he pass on a young, pretty, and innocent girl like her and chase after that Fang JunRong?!
Deng Lan felt unjustified but, also, at the same time, didn’t want to go overboard. She didn’t want things to trace back to her. She wouldn’t not be able to handle the revenge from those two. But she didn’t want to give up just like that either.
She thought about it long and hard and the only idea that she could come up with was to instigate the two of them. However, with Deng Lan’s social status, she wouldn’t even get anywhere close to those two.
Reading about everyone raving about how Fang JunRong and Jiang DeXian were beautiful and handsome and how they were match made in heaven, Deng Lan only got angrier and angrier. Suddenly, a comment caught her attention.
[Recommendation: Video compilation of Jiang WenYu x Fang JunRong. Can be sweet; can be not. Your loss if you don’t look at this. Come and see the WenJun couple for yourself.]
As though her hand had a mind of its own, Deng Lan clicked onto the link and it was an eye-opening experience for her.
She did not know that things could go this way.
