"You were not willing to listen," Xin Yan also retracted her fierce aura as she looked at her grandmother who seemed to have aged in just a few days.

"You did not look like someone who was willing to talk," Grandma Xin retorted, and the back and forth between the two began.

The remaining people only looked at them as they exchanged words.

"That is enough!" Grandpa Xin roared and the both of them stopped their bickering before turning away from each other as though they were little children.

"Why are the both of you behaving this way? We have guests, but you decided to display your childishness, I expected this from Xin Yan, but not you dear," Grandpa Xin did not care that there were still guests present as he berated the both of them.

"I am sorry Grandpa," Xin Yan apologized after realizing that she was in the wrong.

"You should not apologize to me, you know who you should give your apologies to, I will only forgive you if they do so," Grandpa Xin retorted, not willing to accept her apologies. He was also speaking to his wife.

"Mr Zhang, Mrs. Zhang, I apologize for displaying my childish attitude which might have caused you to feel uncomfortable," Xin Yan apologized sincerely.

They discussed for a while and once it was nearing evening, they all left to their various homes, leaving behind the old couple in the residence.

"Old man, I am kind of lonely after they left," she spoke as she rubbed her shoulders slightly. It was nearing winter, therefore the weather at the night was always cold.

"We have Chuxi and Meimei, I believe if we ask to see them, Xin Yan and Li Qiang will not refuse" Grandpa Xin assured her as he wrapped his hands around her.

"Are you sure about that?" She asked as she looked up at him with love. Even if they were already old, she would still continue to love him, her love for him would never fade.

"Yes I am very sure of that," he said to her, and she nodded, and he led her into the mansion.

Cheng Luiying and Xin Yi drove home. Throughout the ride, Cheng Luiying appeared to be lost in thoughts.

"What are you thinking about?" Xin Yi asked as he noticed her silent look.

"It is just, everything which has happened over the past few days has taken a toll on me, both mentally and emotionally," she confessed.

"Honestly, I am exhausted, if we could actually leave this country and settle in a faraway place, just the both of us, I will be delighted, I hate issues such as this," Cheng Luiying finally aired her deepest thoughts.

Xin Yi looked at her and amusement was present in his eyes. He never expected her to actually have such thoughts.

"Do not stare at me that way," Cheng Luiying was embarrassed as she looked out through the window.

"I can only stare at you this way, the Cheng Luiying I know is not one who runs away but faces her issues head on," he said to her, and she turned to look at him with questions in her eyes.

He nodded as he explained to her, "Cheng Luiying is a strong lady, she faces her problems with strength and there has never been a time I see her retreat, even if she is tired, she never lets it get to her and that has always been her strength."

By the time he was done, Cheng Luiying was in tears. She was not expecting him to utter those words and truly, those words meant a lot to her.

"Thank you so much," she thanked him genuinely as she sniffed.

"You do not have to thank me, I am your husband, it is my responsibility and just so you know, you are not alone and will never be alone," with one hand on the steering wheel, he held her hand with the other hand.

"You have plenty of people who are backing you up, me, Xin Yan, Li Qiang, father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, and your siblings, you are not alone and that is one reason for you not to give up," he said to her and she nodded furiously.

"I am not alone," she muttered as she watched the outside scene through the window with a smile on her face.

Xin Yi smiled, seeing the smile on her face. He could trade anything just to see her smile.

But a frown coated his face immediately he recalled the circumstances of her birth. It was baffling, but they had to take things slow.

They must have alerted the enemies as of now since Mrs. Cheng had already confessed. It seems Cheng Luiying was going to face dangers in the coming days. He had to tighten the surrounding security.

He wished he could stay with her all day, but that was impossible as he was the President of Xin Corp. For the first time in his entire life, he actually regretted a decision he made.

"What are you thinking about?" Cheng Luiying turned to look at him as she noticed the car had slowed down.

"Nothing," he smiled at her in a bid to reassure that all was well, but Cheng Luiying was smarter than that, she knew that something was wrong, but he would rather not speak and she was not going to force him to spill what was bothering him.

After Xin Yan had put the kids to sleep, she visited the study.

She was actually surprised that Li Chuxi was adamant on having Meimei sleep beside her.

She had already decided to prepare another bedroom for Meimei in case Li Chuxi did not want her in her space, but it came as a surprise when Li Chuxi was against having different rooms.

Not only that, but she had her suspicions, but she would rather not suspect her little babies. That will be wrong on her part.

"Are they asleep already?" Li Qiang asked and she nodded positively.

"Let’s discuss serious issues," he said, and she chuckled before taking a seat beside him.
