The battles finally came to an end, and that battle between Jonathan and Artorias ended being… Much longer than I ever could have imagined. And it pushed Jonathan quite a lot. That kid was also amazing! He had so many strange powers it made me almost a bit jealous.

The battle seemed quite important to the character Jonathan was replacing as well, which made things a bit more complicated for him. I believe things ended fine enough though, and Jonathan showed off a lot more, so I'm happy.

And that brat of Artorias, well, he learned his lesson and became nicer, and Jonathan befriended him, although I'm sure it's all just to make him a new apprentice or something. He always had a lot of them.

Once Jonathan returned to us with the brat at his side, I quickly greeted him with a big hug.

"Well done!" I hugged him tightly. "You really won, well done! I actually never doubted you dear."

"Hahaha, well, we're finally done at long last, this day has sure been really long, but so much has happened," said Jonathan.

"It sure has…" nodded Lucifer behind me. "I kind of want to kick back and relax, but I bet that's not completely possible, hm?"

We're on the trial at the end of the day, and based on the ongoing storyline, something might happen at any time, something that could create even more chaos.

But for now, there's nothing wrong with celebrating a tiny little bit!

"Uh, nice to meet you…" Artorias greeted me. "You must be the person that Jonathan swore he would win, right? I could have never thought it would be someone like you, Maria was your name right? You're also very popular…"

"Ah, you're the brat…" I said, clicking my tongue.

"B-Brat…?!" he gasped, feeling a bit attacked by my words. "Aren't we the same age?!"

"Uh, sure," I nodded. "Anyways, I hope you've already overcome whatever stupidity was taking over your head, alright? And you better not let those worms eat your brain again. Because if you get funny again I'm going to slap you down."

"U-uhh…! Sure…" muttered Artorias. "I guess I understand now, why you feared so much losing, Jonathan…"

"Exhausted? But your fight ended so quickly…" said Emeraldine at my side. "I'm sure you're the one with the most energy right now!"

"Yeah, maybe that would be the case if I hadn't been expanding a Domain this entire time around the island," I sighed.

"E-Eh? You have?!" Emeraldine gasped.

"What do you mean?" asked Jonathan.

"It's the domain I've set so none of those annoying Doors manifest out of nowhere," I said.

"So you're planning to expand them through the entire damn island? Is that even possible for a human like you?" Beatriz in her cat form asked.

"It has to! I mean, what else can I do?" I asked her. "And I'm pretty strong- I mean, it's already beginning to expand so it's getting done."

"Already?!" Partner wondered.

"Yeah, yeah," I nodded, as we walked upstairs and exited the arena. "If it wasn't for this domain at the first place, I bet the Nightmare Demons would have surprised everyone with a super attack against everyone and would've slaughtered many students. Typical academy genre scenario in shonen manga."

"Uh, what?" asked Arthur, without even knowing what I meant.

"N-Nothing…"

I checked the system message as we made our way back to school, walking through the corridors.

"I don't know, we'll have to find out as we try to search for the truth of the world," I said. "I bet nobody wants to abandon this world yet anyways, right?"

"Yeah, no way," said Partner. "We're seeing through this to the end!"

"I'm surprised Partner would be the one to support you first, but yes I agree," nodded Emeraldine.

"We have to stay," Nia agreed as well. "These people, and the threat of the Nightmares… I believe that only us can help them finally end this endless cycle."

"I guess Nyx would get disappointed on me if we abandoned this place…" Lucifer nodded. "So whatever, let's see it till the end."

"Everyone… thanks."
