After listening to Bela’s explanations, Lia was finally able to understand why this dungeon was so unique.

It was not actually a natural dungeon like her father had suspected and believed it to be; it was an artificial one that was created and modified by King Allen and Astra nearly a thousand years ago!

"My father ended up stumbling upon it by pure chance; otherwise, people might not even know whether it existed or not..."

Hearing Lia’s words, Bela smiled a bit and spoke.

"This dungeon was created for one purpose and that was for me to impart a crucial knowledge to the future generation, to a person who will be able to awaken the same ability as me some day in the future..."

"The ability I am talking about is ’Ascended Soul’... The one that you have awakened after completing the trial of this dungeon and have managed to master through a lot of efforts..."

Bela looked straight into Lia’s eyes and spoke in a solemn voice,

"What are the chances that it just happened to be the father of the girl who would go on to awaken the exact ability I wanted would end up finding this dungeon and would end up bringing her here for training?"

"For this to happen many conditions had to be met and many possibilities had to come true at the exact same moment of time..."

For Lia to awaken the ’Ascended Soul’ ability, she first needed a mother who had been infected by the curse of the great being with whom Alverto came into contact for some mysterious reason.

Then Lia’s mother had to pass down a weaker version of the curse to Lia, then Lia had to have the assistance of Rio to suppress the curse long enough that she can eventually awaken the two skills, ’Spiritual Ascension’ and ’Conqueror of Darkness.’

Finally, Lia had to complete the trial made by Astra and King Allen and gain the favor of the ’law’ of ’Cosmic Order’ to make the two of these skills merge and evolve to the next level.

This would then finally form the ability, the powerful skill that is called ’Ascended Soul.’

Astra, who was born more than 2000 years ago, was the only person who managed to have this ability before Lia, and Lia is only the second person to have it after almost two millennia!

This ability is rarer than the appearance of most legendary skills!

"You mean... it was all set up by you?"

Lia’s question brought a smile to Bela’s face.

"No... there are no creatures in this universe who can manually create destinies and set up futures by themselves..."

"Doing something like that would basically be equal to interfering with the ’Natural World Order’ and messing with all the ’Laws’ of the ’world’ itself... there are no creatures in this universe who can do such insane things by their own power..."

Bela grabbed a small flower from nearby and spoke,

"But there used to be a being capable of bending and influencing the ’destiny’ and ’fate’ of this universe; that being was, of course King Allen Von Reinhart..."

"Blessed with ’Favour’ of both the ’World’ and the ’heavenly will,’ he was the sole being who had the most influence on destiny and luck of this entire universe..."

Thinking about that long-gone past, Bela smiled and spoke in a nostalgic tone.

"He was a good friend of mine and he was a kind person at heart too... I asked him for a favour in return for my life; I asked him to create a ’possibility’ for me to grant my guidance to someone who might need it in future..."

"I wanted to impart the knowledge of how to create the ’Sword Of Promised Destiny’ to a person who might be capable of creating it in the distant future someday..."

Bela then looked at Lia and gave her the small flower in her hand, as if saying that she was giving her inheritance to her.

"That ’Possibility’ I had been look for is you, Lia Silver..."

"By awakening the ’Ascended Soul’ ability, you have become the only being in this universe who can create the ’Sword of Promised Destinies,’ just like how I did it in the past..."

"In simple words, You are the only person in the world qualified to be my disciple..."

Bela smirked with a cute look on her face.

"So, the ultimate question is, would you like to be my disciple and inherit this knowledge, or will you decide to make me wait for the next ’possibility’ to come in another thousand or so years?"

Lia found it quite difficult to digest all this high-level knowledge at the same time.

She had never even thought in her dreams that she would end up meeting a legend from the past and that person would ask her to be her disciple.

The most unbelievable fact was Lia’s father finding this dungeon and then her awakening this strange ability... it was all set in motion more than a thousand years ago!

Just trying to comprehend the insane number of reasons why this plan could have easily gone haywire was already too mind-blowing!

But the most insane thing was still the fact that Lia really managed to pull it off and became qualified to actually accept Bela’s inheritance!

Although Lia felt quite excited about this, she calmed herself down, took the flower from Bela’s hand, and asked,

"What is the ’Sword of Promised Destinies’ in the first place? Shouldn’t weapons be created by blacksmiths? How come you are asking me to create it? I don’t even know how to craft a simple ceramic pot!"

Hearing Lia’s question, Bela started explaining in a very patient and gentle voice,

"First of all, you must understand the fact that even though it’s called a ’Sword of Promised Destinies,’ the thing we are talking about is not actually a ’Sword’ in the truest sense..."
