Reborn as Mr.CEO's Fat Wife-Chapter 313 - : Abigail, Have You Lost Weight?
Chapter 313: Chapter 313: Abigail, Have You Lost Weight?
The next afternoon, a group of people arrived at the mansion.
After dinner, just past seven, this group surrounded Abigail.
Abigail looked at the tools in their hands. She knew what was coming without even thinking and sat at the dressing table, playing with Teddy while the stylists worked on her.
An hour later, Abigail appeared before everyone again.
Unlike at the last wedding, today the stylist put her in a blue plus-size starry dress with a deep blue base and white stars. It was still a high-waisted long dress, with butterfly half-sleeves and a hollow triangular shoulder design. It not only covered the extra fat on the shoulders but also exposed a spot of glowing white skin, making the person look elegant and noble.
...
This time, her long hair was pinned up with a middle part, leaving a few curls on both sides. It didn’t make her face look bigger but instead made her look fairer and softer. Her embellished big eyes were sparkling.
Kelly stared in amazement. “Everyone was right. Chubby people really have potential. So beautiful!”
Abigail didn’t believe Kelly’s flattery, but she was satisfied with her outfit.
While still observing her, Kelly suddenly asked, “Abigail, have you lost weight?”
“Really?” She had been so busy lately that she forgot to weigh herself.
“Definitely. If you don’t believe me, weigh yourself!” Kelly nodded affirmatively.
Abigail’s interest was piqued. “Shall I weigh myself then?”
She said it with some nervousness.
Recently, she had been strictly following Brandon Piers’s diet plan, combined with some exercise. Although the amount of exercise wasn’t much due to her health, carrying around a sixteen or seventeen-pound little guy every day was no easy task.
Her postpartum weight dropped from 200 pounds to 107, but she hit a bottleneck.
The last time she weighed herself, not only had she not lost weight, but she had gained three pounds back. So, she calmed herself down and stopped focusing on her weight. Hearing Kelly say she had lost weight now, she instinctively looked in the mirror.
Compared to the first time she saw herself in the mirror, she indeed looked slimmer now. Her skin condition had improved greatly, and she looked energetic. She couldn’t help but be hopeful. Maybe she really had lost some weight?
While Abigail was still building herself up mentally, Kelly had already called someone to bring over an electronic scale.
This commotion attracted the old man who had just eaten and gone for a walk to see Teddy. Hearing that Abigail was going to weigh herself, he directly asked the butler to bring him a chair to sit by the door.
With the old man sitting there, Brandon Piers, who had changed into his suit, became curious and sent Pullan to check it out.
Before long, Brandon arrived, too.
Standing by the scale, Abigail thought, “…”
She was just going to weigh herself. What were they all planning to do?
Brandon looked at Abigail in her outfit, a pleased smile tugging at his lips. He was very satisfied with his taste.
As for Abigail’s weight, he didn’t need to look at the scale.
But others were different.
Especially the old man, who was particularly curious to see if Abigail had actually lost weight.
The old man’s anticipation sparked a collective anticipation among everyone. After all, this was the first time anyone in the mansion had seen the young lady of the house weigh herself.
Kelly didn’t expect her casual mention to become the biggest event in the Piers’ Mansion recently.
The stylists were confused. Although they heard that the Piers’ Mansion valued Abigail highly as a fiancée, they didn’t realize just how much until today. They couldn’t help but look at her with more respect.
Abigail felt like she was experiencing what it felt like to be a pig awaiting slaughter.
She glanced around at everyone, awkwardly chuckled, “I thought a woman’s weight was a very private matter.”
“Don’t be afraid, Abigail. No matter how much you weigh, Grandpa supports you.” The old man’s words made it seem as if Abigail was competing for a position rather than weighing herself. What was she supposed to say to that?
So, she shifted her gaze towards Brandon, hoping this man would give her some face.
“Rest assured, it won’t exceed 200 pounds.” Brandon said, leaning against the nearby railing with one hand in his pocket, looking like he was enjoying the show.
Abigail thought, “…” This damn man!
Gritting her teeth, she smiled awkwardly yet politely at everyone, then took off her high heels. If she weren’t so restricted, she would have wanted to take off all her clothes. Unfortunately, she couldn’t, so she resolutely stepped onto the scale.
Phew!
The surroundings fell silent.
Abigail closed her eyes. She couldn’t hear any movements around and barely opened her eyes, not looking at the scale but asking Kelly beside her, “Could it be over 200 pounds?”
“Silly.” Brandon replied with a chuckle.
The old man realized what was happening and was thrilled. “Ah, yes, not bad, not bad. Progress is great. Abigail, you must continue to persevere!”
Abigail’s eyes lit up, meeting Kelly’s encouraging gaze. She looked down, seeing 80.5 KG!
Moments ago, Abigail had been elated, “…”
But, it wasn’t too bad. She had finally broken through the bottleneck!
These days, Abigail’s biggest worry was not being able to break through the bottleneck and gaining weight again.
But, 161 pounds, did they really need to be this happy?
Or did they think she was much heavier?
“So, the young lady of the house is only 161 pounds, not as heavy as me. I’m 180 pounds.” Pullan commented thoughtfully.
Abigail turned to look at the over six-foot-tall, muscular Pullan. Was he complimenting her or insulting her?
“Get out, get out, get out. How can you compare yourself to Abigail? Our Abigail is fair and chubby!” The old man noticed Abigail’s expression and chided Pullan.
Abigail, “…”
Fair and chubby… wasn’t that a term exclusively for Teddy?
“Um… everyone can leave now?” Abigail smiled as she subtly hinted for the crowd to disperse. She had already weighed herself. What more did they want?
“Yes, everyone get back to your work. What are you all standing around for?” The old man noticed the large group of people around him and waved them off. He then looked at his grandson, who hadn’t said a word. “It’s crowded in the evening. Take good care of Abigail.”
“Nagging.” Brandon said disdainfully, but his tone wasn’t impatient. His gaze remained on Abigail.
Everyone else took the hint and went about their business. Even the styling team quietly went downstairs. Kelly pushed Teddy to play somewhere else.
In an instant, only Abigail and Brandon remained.
“Teddy will probably sleep for a while. Why don’t you wait for me downstairs?” Earlier, she felt embarrassed being watched while weighing herself. Now, she found being alone with him even more awkward.
Especially since she couldn’t help but remember his odd behavior that day, her cheeks began to heat up again.
“Hmm.” Brandon nodded, but didn’t move.
Abigail looked at him strangely.
Because it was midsummer and it got dark late, the man stood against the railing with the light behind him. In a blue suit, his legs casually crossed, he stood tall and straight. She couldn’t clearly see his expression, but it gave more room for imagination.
And with the elegant garden behind him, the leaves gently swaying in the wind, he looked like he stepped right out of a Hayao Miyazaki anime, almost too good to be true.
Abigail felt her heart thump, thump, thump.
She consoled herself, anyone would be attracted to something beautiful. Her reaction was completely normal.
“Hmm?” Calming her heartbeat, Abigail looked at him, reminding him with a soft hum.

“You lost twelve pounds since last time and forty pounds since we first met. Not bad.” Brandon ignored her questioning and instead inspected her from head to toe, giving this conclusion.
Abigail, “…”
