Chapter 390: Chapter 390: The Young Master is Here Again with His Jealousy Chapter 390 -390: The Young Master is Here Again with His Jealousy “You know Hughes?” Brandon Piers thought about this, feeling both relieved and dissatisfied.
“Who’s Hughes?” Abigail Green had never even heard of this person.
Brandon frowned. “Then why did he suddenly betray us and confess so honestly about what he did?”
The idea of the ‘Period’ in her email suddenly popped into Abigail’s mind. She quickly took out the old Nokia phone, opened the email, and indeed saw a reply from ‘Period.’ The first sentence was to avoid the international hospital, then mentioned wanting to meet her.
“Is this the Hughes you’re talking about?” Abigail handed the phone over to the man.
Brandon briefly looked over the content and gazed at Abigail with complex emotions. “It should be, but what’s your relationship with him?”
Pullan, standing behind, shuddered. Oh no, the second young master was getting jealous again.
“A QQ friend?” Abigail, with a mental age of 27, felt a bit embarrassed mentioning a QQ friend. At her age, who would have thought she’d still chat on QQ.
Brandon snorted coldly and looked at Kennan Max. “Where’s Hughes? Bring him to me.”
“Uh… didn’t you say you’d hand him over to the police?” Kennan felt troubled.
“You go negotiate. I need to know the reason.” Brandon couldn’t believe someone like Hughes would save Abigail for no reason. He was right. Abigail’s whereabouts and route map had all been sent to Gordon by Hughes. Something was definitely off.
Abigail timidly raised her hand. “I might know the reason.”
Brandon’s frown deepened.
“The Hughes you’re talking about is probably my QQ friend. Because I was sick for a while, I hadn’t logged into QQ afterward. Somehow, he mistook Ruby Green for me and kept in touch with her. Today, I checked my old phone and found emails from Hughes from years ago, so I replied, mentioning my name.” Abigail couldn’t believe how dramatic it was, but she indeed couldn’t recall much about Hughes.
She didn’t know if it was because Abigail had forgotten over time or something had made her purposely erase it from her mind.
Brandon’s frown deepened further after hearing her. “So, you’re saying he has been helping Ruby Green all these years, thinking she was you?”
Abigail frowned. “We need to ask him.”
Abigail felt that to understand this, she needed to confront Hughes directly.
Just thinking about this possibility made Abigail more disgusted with Ruby. She didn’t know how Ruby pretended to be Abigail, but using Abigail’s friends against her was vile.
“We are negotiating with the police.” Kennan, frightened today, was smart enough to keep quiet.
Brandon nodded and held Abigail’s hand tightly. “Let’s go home first.”
“Alright.” Abigail nodded and then thought for a moment. “Bring him back to let me see him. No matter what, he saved my life today.”
Abigail was curious about the exact relationship between Hughes and Abigail, and why he had been used by Ruby all these years.
Brandon immediately looked at Abigail, his amber eyes filled with discontent. “What’s so great about meeting an obscure hacker?”
Abigail, “…”
Just then, Kennan’s phone rang. After a few seconds, he looked at Brandon and Abigail. “Second young master, madam, Hughes was sent over. Do you want to see him?”
Brandon looked at Abigail.
Abigail touched her nose. “It’s your call.”
“Let’s go then.” Brandon, satisfied, held Abigail’s hand and looked at Kennan. “Lead the way.”
Abigail, “…” She really thought this man was jealous. Was it her illusion? But it was kind of cute.
Handsome men were adorable even when jealous.
Fortunately, Brandon didn’t know what Abigail was thinking.
Kennan brought Hughes to the internal medicine ward using Kelvin Max’s location data.
After some treatment, Hughes finally woke up and immediately asked about the person in the vehicle that had an accident on the stone bridge.
Kelvin glanced at the person faintly, hearing footsteps outside, turned, and opened the door. “Second young master, madam.”
Abigail looked around the ward. “Internal medicine?”
Kelvin quickly smiled. “He might have bumped into something during the police capture.”

Kennan listened with a blank expression and glanced at Hughes.
Hughes, “…” He was kicked into internal bleeding!
But he didn’t have time to care about that now. He looked at Abigail. Compared to others, he knew Abigail better—her info at the medical university and her activities in the past year. He had altered them all, including the DNA test results and the two assassination attempts by Gordon. He’d been covering for her all along.
His heart constricted with every beat; the internal bleeding pain worsened, but he couldn’t help but soften his voice. “Are you Little Butterfly?”
Hughes hoped Abigail would deny it. Otherwise, he wouldn’t know what he had been doing all these years.
But Abigail nodded. “I am. You’re ‘Period.’ Was the message on my phone from you today? Thank you.”
Hughes clenched his fists. “How is that possible? How can you be Little Butterfly? Little Butterfly is clearly Ruby Green… cough cough…”
Abigail looked at the young man on the hospital bed, emotional. “I don’t know what’s going on. If the email owner is Little Butterfly, then I am. I used QQ for a while under the name Butterfly, but after I got a fever, I stopped using it.”
“When… when did you stop using it?” Hughes felt his heart sink further.
Abigail tried hard to remember. “After my fourteenth birthday, I think.”
Thud!
Hughes collapsed onto the hospital bed and took a while to speak. “Then… don’t you remember me?”
“Should I remember you?” Abigail asked in return.
“Heh.” Hughes laughed bitterly. Hearing Abigail say that left him speechless. Should she remember him? He should’ve known that someone as timid, weak, and kind as Little Butterfly wouldn’t seek revenge for favors. How could that be Ruby Green?
When he sought help online, no one believed or helped him, only she carefully asked how much money he needed. Though he reported an amount out of mockery and desperation, he remembered what she said. “I don’t have that much, but it’ll be my birthday soon. My dad usually gives me gifts. I’ll try to save up for you.”
A few days later, she really sent him the money. It allowed him to attend an international event and become famous.
He told her he’d become a top computer expert, unbeatable, and bring honor to the country. People mocked him, thinking he was just wasting his time. His parents almost sent him to an internet addiction camp, but Little Butterfly thought he was cool.
She also asked if he could take her away when he became very successful.
After losing contact for some time, she logged in again, saying she was Ruby Green. He checked the Green family’s background and found out she was a stepdaughter. She claimed she was bullied by her stepfather’s daughter and asked for his help.
Later, she said, “I made you successful, so you have to help me.”
Then, she begged him for help.
She was his Little Butterfly. How could he refuse? But now he realized everything was wrong, all wrong!
