Reborn as the Harem King-Chapter 141 The Irrepressible Heart[Part 2]
Chapter 141 - 141 The Irrepressible Heart[Part 2]
Zhou Yi feigned an awkward stillness, his body rigid as if frozen.
At this moment, he certainly couldn't act like a seasoned lover.
To Jiang Ruolan, he was always the reserved and earnest man, and he needed to uphold that carefully crafted image.
Jiang Ruolan pressed her cheek against Zhou Yi's back, her arms wrapping tightly around his waist. At this point, her emotions had completely overwhelmed any semblance of reason.
With a husky voice, Zhou Yi murmured, "Ruolan, do you understand what this means?"
Both of them were adults now; the implications of such gestures spoke for themselves.
She had cast aside all hesitation, surrendering entirely to her heart. Jiang Ruolan smiled softly:
"I know. I want you to stay."
"Tonight, you're not my boss, and I'm not your subordinate. We're just two ordinary people in the city."
"Alright? Give me a chance."
Jiang Ruolan clung to him tightly, determined to keep him by her side tonight.
She had suppressed her feelings for Zhou Yi for so long, but she was only human—a woman with desires she could no longer contain. Time had worn down her defenses, leaving her vulnerable.
Even the most rational minds falter when confronted with love.
And Jiang Ruolan yearned to let go, just once—to abandon herself to passion without restraint.
Zhou Yi sighed, gently patting her hand. "Let go of me first, okay, Ruolan?"

Reluctantly, Jiang Ruolan loosened her hold.
She retrieved her keys and unlocked the door. But Zhou Yi remained outside, hesitant to step in—or perhaps still wavering.
He asked again, his tone serious:
"Ruolan, are you sure about this? Even if there's no future between us... even if I can't promise you anything?"
Jiang Ruolan didn't answer. Instead, she responded with action.
She pulled him close once more, rising on tiptoe to kiss him.
Zhou Yi hesitated no longer, returning her kiss deeply.
His fingers tangled in her soft hair as they kissed their way into the apartment. With his free hand, he closed the door behind them.
Breathless, his voice low and rough, he whispered, "Help me unbutton this."
As Jiang Ruolan reached for the buttons of his shirt, she chuckled seductively. "I picked this shirt out for you myself, remember? I even buttoned it up for you back then."
While her hands worked on his shirt, his slipped under hers, seeking the clasp of her bra.
Zhou Yi fumbled deliberately, pretending inexperience, which drew another amused laugh from her. "So, President Zhou knows nothing after all."
He withdrew his hand, pinning her gently onto the sofa. "Didn't we say tonight you weren't my superior? Then why are you still calling me 'President Zhou' so formally?"
Jiang Ruolan traced his face with a look of adoration. "Then what should I call you? Just... Zhou Yi, is that alright?"
Zhou Yi was actually younger than her. Technically, he should address her as "sister," a thought that made her smile deepen.
But Zhou Yi didn't mind. He grinned faintly. "Call me whatever you like."
Their conversation lightened the mood momentarily.
"I'll take a shower first. When I'm done, we'll continue."
"Okay."
"You're not allowed to leave."
"If I left now, I wouldn't deserve to call myself a man."
Hearing this, Jiang Ruolan relaxed visibly.
She sat up on the couch, one leg idly swinging her high heel, her mood clearly buoyant. Her delicate fingers swept her hair to one side, accentuating the elegant curve of her figure.
This was allure incarnate—her sultry gaze, her languid movements, the very essence of femininity laid bare.
The smooth expanse of Jiang Ruolan's back caught Zhou Yi's eye. Her skin was taut and porcelain-white. He brushed his fingertips lightly over it, eliciting a shiver from her.
As she rose, her dress slid off her shoulders, pooling at her feet atop her white blouse.
"Wait for me," she said softly.
"Mm."
After Jiang Ruolan disappeared into the bathroom, Zhou Yi reclined on the sofa. The sound of running water drifted through the air, teasing his senses.
He closed his eyes briefly, only to catch a faint, intoxicating fragrance moments later.
Opening his eyes, he found Jiang Ruolan standing before him, her beauty magnified in the dim light. Her raven-black hair cascaded over her slip dress, a single strand brushing his nose. Her fiery gaze locked onto his.
Before he could react, she leaned in, kissing him fiercely. This time, her touch was neither shy nor gentle.
A metallic tang soon spread across his tongue—she had bitten his lip.
Zhou Yi opened his eyes to see her rubbing the bead of blood with her fingertip, then smearing it onto her own lips. The crimson streak ignited something primal within him. In that moment, Jiang Ruolan looked otherworldly, her allure bordering on dangerous.
His throat bobbed as he rasped, "Why did you bite me?"
"I want you to remember this night forever."
Their ragged breaths filled the room.
She reveled in kissing him, her eyes half-lidded, hazy yet magnetic.
Amidst the remnants of her fading clarity, she realized with sudden clarity: she was losing her mind.
Lowering his gaze, she caught sight of herself in the reflection of the distant mirror—entranced, consumed, willing to sacrifice everything for a single kiss from this man.
Her heart began to race, panic setting in. She knew things had grown far too complicated.
Yet, inevitably, she became acutely aware of her dependence on him, her love for him.
The harder she tried to dismiss these feelings, the tighter they clung to her.
She had fallen for a man who didn't love her back.
In the shadows where nothing was visible, her gaze brimmed with devotion and tenderness.
She didn't ask if he loved her. Deep down, she already knew the answer.
Instead, she surrendered fully to the fleeting joy of the moment.
All she hoped was that he would remember this night—and remember her—forever.
