Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 107: Lilithia
Dominic sat sipping espresso in the Bentley estate’s living room, facing his wife, who didn’t look too pleased.
"What is going on, Dominic? Why is there no progress so far?" Elysia asked, her gaze dark and unpredictable as she looked at her husband.
Dominic didn’t say anything. He gazed at nothing in particular, his expression blank.
"It’s not like we are not trying. We can’t go all in and overboard with the trials on our hands. I have contacted the rogues, and they’ll make a move soon," Dominic said.
Elysia scoffed.
"Contacted this and that. Is your army so useless that they can’t handle a girl? First, it was Gloria, a fairy, who used to flaunt living in that Grand palace. We got her out of the way. But now it’s a mere healer girl living there? Are they more deserving than true werewolves like us?" Elysia’s voice was full of contempt and hatred for their family dynamics.
Dominic understood her frustration.
When they married her into the family, they assured her that they would live in the Grand Palace and that the elder son would get the throne.
However, nothing like that happened. His younger brother got the throne, his family got the Grand Palace, and they were left to stay in the royal palace, where everyone else lived.
It was beyond humiliating for him.
That is why he started living on his own estate, which was created through his sheer hard work.
Their father had three children. The first one was their sister Rosaline, the second Dominic himself, and the third Sebastian. Still, Sebastian always had the most benefits in terms of power and recognition.
And his wife? Gloria? She was a mere fairy. A fairy was the queen of the werewolf Kingdom. Even if it was just for a small time, it indeed happened.
And now they brought a lantern healer, worse than a fairy, to make her the queen of the werewolf Kingdom.
People who learn of their actions might think they are thinking about themselves, but that wasn’t the case.
They were thinking about the kingdom. The kingdom needed true werewolves to lead it, rule it, and better understand everything.
They needed to keep thriving, not just accepting weaklings as their rulers, to grow and become more recognizable and proficient in the supernatural world among other species.
So what if Sebastian and Cyrus were powerful, a queen needed to be powerful too.
"With how everything has been going, I am feeling slightly unsure. Father has been leaning toward Cyrus a lot these days. Especially after Amelia arrived, it was evident at the Lunar Ball. You would’ve been there," Dominic said.
Elysia rolled her eyes.
"Come there and see your father treating everyone but us with respect and goodwill? No, thank you. I love my comfort more than that. Nor do I have it in me to lock his boots like your sister and her husband." Elysia stood from her place and grabbed the file from the table that she wanted to show to Dominic.
The file contained someone’s medical reports.
As soon as Dominic read them, his brows furrowed, and he looked at Elysia.
"Is it happening now after all those years?" Dominic asked.
Elysia nodded.
"We can have control over her," she answered.
Dominic grinned. He felt much more relaxed than before.
So what if other plans of his failed? He still had this Ace card that he could use whenever he was losing.
With this card, not even Cyrus, but their father, Grayson, would have to bow down on his knees and beg them for mercy. And at that time, they’ll ask the throne for their son Patrick.
Dominic’s smile faltered a little at the thought of Patrick.
The guy has surely been acting a lot wishful these days.
"While I am handling Cyrus, can you handle your son? We barely got out of it at the Lunar Ball when he got soft for Amelia and exposed that I drugged her," Dominic said.
Elysia hummed.
She had seen it, too. Just a couple of days ago, her son asked her if they didn’t trust his capabilities and, if that was the case, why they were even preparing him for the throne.
Ruling a kingdom was a big thing, and if his parents didn’t trust him, how could he expect others to trust him?
He has never talked like this with her before. Something was going on inside his head.
"I’ll talk to him and try to see what’s bothering him," Elysia said.
Dominic stood from the couch with the report and was about to leave when he remembered something.
"What about your daughter? When is she returning?" He asked.
Elysia narrowed her brows at him. She didn’t like the way he called their daughter her daughter as if he weren’t her father.
However, she didn’t comment on it. He was already in a sour mood because of Patrick, and if she said anything, it would only make things worse.
"She should be arriving today. I asked Carlos to inform you about it. Didn’t he say anything?" Elysia asked.
Dominic barely hummed at her words.
To him, their daughter wasn’t the most important topic or person. She practically had no use in his life. So even if Carlos might’ve mentioned her, he forgot about her.
Elysia thinned her lips at her husband’s attitude. This was why their daughter didn’t live with them even when she wasn’t married. Her father never favoured her and always nitpicked about the most minor things regarding her.
She shook her head helplessly and walked to the maid.
"Have you cleaned Lilithia’s room?" Elysia asked, and the maid nodded.
At the same time, Lilithia, Dominic’s daughter, looked out of the window as they passed the dark-hued forests.
"Miss, if possible, can you duck a little? This place is famous for rogues because it is in no man’s land, and the chances are they might try to attack us for money or something," the driver said.
Lilithia smiled.
He wouldn’t have said such words if this were their royal guard or driver. The driver from the airport probably didn’t know she was a royalty, and no one would dare to touch her.
"Don’t worry. You don’t—" Lilithia started, but before she could complete her sentence, something crashed into their car with such force that their car tumbled and turned around, hitting the tree.
The impact was so bad that the driver, whose head hit the steering wheel, died on the spot, and blood dripped down Lilithia’s forehead.
She groaned, breathing heavily, shaken up from the impact.
