Chapter 124: Golden Blood of Healers

"Was that all necessary?" Ryan asked Amelia when she passed the class to go straight to the laboratory.

Amelia didn’t answer for some time.

Then she looked at Ryan and nodded.

"If it gives you peace, it’s necessary. I know Hannah was behind it but I can’t touch her directly, not when my father is still in her favour and everyone thinks she is some kind of icon. Thus, this was a silent warning for her," Amelia said.

She didn’t stop to hear his response and left.

Ryan stood there for some time and was about to leave when his gaze met with Jennifer.

"She won’t be yours. No matter how hard you try," Luna Jennifer said.

She still remembered everything she saw in those forests.

"Excuse me?" Ryan asked, unsure where it was coming from.

Jennifer shrugged. It was her duty to warn the man. She wasn’t someone who would go around spreading people’s secrets until everything was clear. Besides, this wasn’t just about Amelia, but King Cyrus.

"Just warning you," She left, leaving Ryan confused.

Amelia pulled out the test tube, looking around observantly, and once she ensured the cameras were still not installed like Professor Kinsley had mentioned he would, she opened the window.

"You can come in," She said.

She walked back to the test tube stand and filled half of it with the distilled water before adding some safranin to it.

Busy with taking out the chemicals she would need, along with the incubated petri dishes that she had cultured a couple days ago, she wore her gloves before looking at the window when she heard some shuffling.

"Well, I hadn’t expected you to contact me," Kyle walked inside the laboratory like he owned the place, teasing Amelia, who rolled her eyes.

"Yeah?" She asked.

Kyle nodded.

He knew she was short on time and placed the file before her.

"I had done a basic background check on you after finding out you were my mate. If I had checked in depth, maybe we had found the truth about you not being one of them earlier," Kyle said.

Then he explained to her about the lineage of the golden blood.

He still did not know that she asked about golden blood because the white energy told her it was about her descendants.

Amelia looked at the file with a sigh.

She had tried searching for the blood type in libraries but wasn’t so lucky in finding in depth knowledge.

All it talked about was how it was the rarest type of blood of the healers.

It was like a Rh-null blood that lacked all 61 antigens, making it the most sought after and rarest blood.

While it was unique, it was also dangerous for the person who has it. Why? Because a wound for that person would be almost equivalent to losing their life.

It was true only if the person carrying the blood was a human.

In the healer community, that blood group was adorned with inborne magic that led to them becoming the most powerful healers of all time.

The more Amelia read, the more shocked she felt.

So apparantly this magic of blood that she was fearing was always supposed to be like this?

Her life wasn’t supposed to be spend like this, wasted like this but she had a bigger purpose in life. To heal those who have lost hope in life.

"What about the last descendant?" Amelia asked.

Kyle hummed.

"It’s quite a mystery. The last descendant of the blood was a woman but no one knows where she went. She was being hunted for her blood because this blood is quite powerful for vampires and demons and they would trade anything to feed on this blood. Some people say she married off someone and is living in mountains while some thinks she is dead," Kyle said.

Amelia swallowed the word death like a bile rising in her throat.

It was ironic.

The woman Kyle was talking about was her mother, but the last descendant was she herself.

And if she hadn’t gotten this rebirth, she would’ve been dead too.

Things were still confusing. How she was supposed to keep her secret from the world about her blood and how she was supposed to unlock the mage’s powers and the powers of her blood to become the best healer out there.

However, atleast now she had a base on how to do things.

"Okay. I’ll contact you later. Till then can you keep looking into that woman?" Amelia asked.

"I’ll do it if you promise a date," Kyle grinned.

Amelia rolled her eyes, nodding nonetheless. A dinner date wouldn’t hurt in exchange of such expensive knowledge.

"Sure," She said.

Kyle was about to near her to kiss her forehead, something he was getting used to when Amelia’s phone rang.

Amelia pulled her phone and saw and incoming call from Cyrus.

She picked the call, her gaze stopping at Kyle.

"Can you come home quickly if you are not working? There’s something we need to discuss. The elders are here too," Cyrus’s words were straightforward.

Amelia agreed and ended the call.

"It looks like I’ll have to leave and I can’t entertain —"

"Shall I drop you?" Kyle asked, blinking innocently.

Amelia looked at the time and finding nothing wrong with it, she nodded.

After riding the bike for thirty minutes, they reached the Grand Palace and Amelia got down from the bike, not allowing Kyle to take his helmet off in case his face got caught in the Cctv of the palace.

"Don’t risk your identity for me," She said and left.

The man smirked.

The girl was really naive.

While he loved to be of service to her, the reason he asked to drop her today was so that Cyrus could feel his presence on her.

Risk his identity? He wanted the man to come and look for him so they could have a face off. It was long due anyways.

Kyle looked at the Grand palace before smirking.

One day I will be inside it and you guys would welcome me with open hands. Why? Because you would be helpless before your princess who would choose me too. Kyle said before leaving.

Amelia entered the palace a little cautiously.

The first person she saw in the hall was Cyrus’s aunt and she thinned her lips.

It looked like the matter was indeed serious. Or why would his aunt he here who never makes her presence known until it’s a big event?
