Chapter 650: 611. Twelve Heavenly Zodiac Stars formation

Hmm...

While resurrecting the entire populace of shinobi that died in the Fourth Shinobi War, Izuna also pays close attention to the conversation of other shinobis. He overhears the conversation between Seiryū and the various higher-ups of the Allied Shinobi force.

"You guys sure have ambitions. You aren't satisfied with Second Hokage's Edo Tensei and now want to create a true undead army with my resurrection ability. Do they truly think it's that easy?" Izuna rebukes the group, silencing them.

However, a few shinobis still have some doubts about Izuna's resurrection ability.

"Looks like I have to explain the cost I paid to revive such a massive group of people!"

Fwoosh...

Izuna claps his hands and his Reigan flickers with the psychedelic pattern.

Suddenly, the sky above the shinobi world changes, revealing a massive Fuinjutsu formation shrouding the entire world. Several stars, nebulae, and various other celestial phenomena appear within the formation.

"This is..."

The shinobis gasps in shock at the sudden change.

"Yes, this is a Fuinjutsu formation and a very high-level one at that!"

Even Minato, Kushina, Mito, and other Fuinjutsu nerds pause and stare at the massive formation in the sky with fascination.

"Izuna-kun, this Fuinjutsu formation is?"

"It's a Demi-God level Fuinjutsu formation and is called 'Twelve Heavenly Zodiac Stars formation'. This formation only serves one purpose, and that is to isolate the spirit of the world from the Pure land using the powers of the stars." Izuna explains.

Confusion appears on the shinobis' faces as they have never heard of such terms.

"In simple words, it prevents the souls of mortals from accessing the river of reincarnation. So, if someone dies under the influence of this formation, their souls won't reincarnate and, over time, will turn into ghosts."

"W-what?!" Izuna's words frighten the people. The fear of ghosts and demons is still prevalent among the shinobis.

"Does that mean the souls of our dead comrades are still trapped within this formation?" Someone asks with slight hesitation.

"Yes, do you want to see them?" Izuna makes a creepy face, scaring others.

"Can we take a look?" Despite their fear, some curious fellows cannot hold themselves back.

"Alright!"

Izuna's Reigan flickers with energy and the massive formation covering the entire shinobi world hums slightly.

Suddenly, several hundreds of thousands of cyan soul bodies appear around the group.

These ghost-like figures act mindlessly. They enter and exit the bodies of their living shinobis friends, sending a chill down their spine.

"Are these apparitions, souls of the dead shinobis?"

A tries to punch a cyan soul with his fists, but his hand phases through the soul.

"Chakra and physical attacks are useless against these spirits!" Izuna shakes his head.

"Though you can still seal them with Fuinjutsu techniques." He adds.

Haah...

A infuses some lightning chakra in his arm and punches a soul in front of him. His lightning punch phases through the soul.

"..."

Izuna turns silent at A's antique and even rolls his eyes.

"You just punched the soul of one of your subordinates."

Snap...

Izuna snaps his finger and the soul A punched, materialized into a tall, burly person.

"Marui?!" A recognizes the figure.

"You are so mean Raikage-sama. Even after my death, you won't let go of my soul?" The soul of a giant burly man cries like a child, though no tears flow from his eyes.

"AH!"

Even A is taken aback by the sudden appearance of Marui and quickly hides his fists behind his back.

Suddenly, a powerful suction force acts on Marui's body and his soul flies in the direction of the battlefield with incredible speed.

A turn to Izuna and ask.

"Will he remember what happened earlier?"

"No, unless summoned, a soul won't remember anything that happened to it after its death. But I can make exceptions. Do you want him to remember this encounter?" He turns to A with a smile.

"NO! NO! Don't!" A quickly shakes his head.

"Fool! Ya, fool! But I recorded everything with this tool!"

Snap...

Killer Bee takes a picture of A with a goofy grin.

"Damn it, Bee! Hand that over to me right now!"

A chase after Bee, while the latter flees with a camera in his hands.

"Marui died protecting me! I can't let him see this." A enters into lightning chakra mode and chases after Bee.

Haah...

Bee also activates the tailed beast mode with the remnant chakra of Eight tails and flees away.

After Izuna's demonstration, Seiryū turns to the rest of the paranoid shinobis and asks them.

"Now, let me ask you. Do you really think this massive formation is easy to build and operate?"

The clueless shinobis shake their head.

"Then let me tell you! Even the energy required to operate this formation isn't something the current shinobi world can afford." Seiryū takes a glittering transparent stone and shows it to everyone.

"This is a void stone! And is the basic currency outside in the vast cosmos."

"Byakugan!"

"Sharingan!"

Hiashi and Fukasaku activate their Dojutsu to observe the stone in Seiryū's hand.

"Such pure energy!" Both of them gasp in shock.

"I seem to have seen something like this before!" Hashirama mumbles as he scrutinizes the void stone in Seiryū hand.

"That's the 'Crystal Gem', a wedding gift to you from my clan." Mito shakes her head.

"Ah! I remember now. I gave it to little Tsuna on her third birthday." Hashirama bumps his hands on top of each other.

"Is it this thing?" Naruto removes the necklace from his neck and hands it over to Hashirama.

"Yes, it's exactly this!" Hashirama nods.

"So, this 'crystal gem' is a void stone?!" Mito mumbles.

"That's... that's the First Hokage Necklace!" Several shinobis recognize the necklace in Hashirama's hand.

"This necklace can be sold for at least three mines of gold!"

"That's really a void stone!" Even Seiryū is shocked to see a void stone in the small shinobi world.

"Three mines of gold?! That's... that's so expensive!" Someone murmurs.

"Then what about the stone in this guy's hand? How expensive is this? It's almost thrice the size of the one in Lord Hashirama's hands." Someone points out.

"Nine mines of gold?"

"No, it should be even more. The crystal gem is already a rare commodity, and it's almost impossible to find a second such gem. So, it's hard to put a price on its value. But if we have to give a rough estimate, then it should be around at least twenty gold mines." A shinobi from Iwagakure analyzes the cost of the stone.

"So, damn expensive!" The Kages and the commander look at each other in shock and surprise.

"Then how many stones did it take to power this formation?" Rasa asks after much contemplation.

"Not too many!" Izuna waves his hand.

The Kages heave a sigh of relief.

"Just a million of them!"

Ah!

However, his next words almost make them drop their jaws.

"A- a million?!" The higher-ups glance at each other in utter shock.

"That's... that's like 20 million worth of gold mines. Does our world even have that many mines?" Someone utters.

"Even if we sell all our resources and land, we won't be able to afford it."

"Even selling the entire shinobi world might not give that much." Someone else mutters.

"Actually, that's feasible!" Seiryū chimes in.

"Several large civilizations buy and sell planets using the void stones as a currency. If I have to put a price on this world, then it will be somewhere around two hundred thousand void stones."

His words send another wave of shock among the higher-ups.

"You can even buy and sell worlds?!"

"Our shinobi world is only two hundred thousand void stones worth?"

"Then, does that make all of us in Izuna Uchiha's debt?"

A clamor spread across them.

Izuna hears their conversation with relish while maintaining a poker face.

'Hehe... I am not lacking in the void stones. I have a mine of my own with a lodestone of at least a hundred million void stones.'

Seiryū, who knows the truth of the matter, rolls his eyes.

'How's this bastard so lucky? He stumbled upon a hidden, unowned large-scale void stone mine.'

"So, now tell me, can you afford it?" Seiryū continues the act with Izuna.

Ngh... Ngh...

The Kages and the commander quickly shake their head in denial.

"It's good that you people know! Being too greedy can also lead to the downfall of a civilization. Also, that's almost all the money that I had. So, you people have to work hard in the future." Izuna adds.

"We understand!" The group nods obediently.

While others fall for Izuna's words, only a few people who are closer to Izuna sense that something is amiss. However, they don't speak anything for fear of blowing Izuna's cover and thwarting his plan.

"The resurrection is complete!" Izuna claps his hand and deactivates the massive formation.

"Let's return to the mainland!"
