Chapter 1841: Chapter 1835 She Changed
"Deserved it, because you keep teasing me." Qin Xue glared at Qing Zhu. Does she know she won’t have friends like this?
"You’re so cruel, didn’t you say we were going out to eat? Are we going or not?" Qing Zhu rubbed her stomach, she was so hungry.
"Of course we’re going, if it weren’t for you messing around, we’d have left already." Qin Xue gave Qing Zhu a glare.
"Alright, now it’s somehow my fault. Ms. Qin, can we go eat now?" Qing Zhu was speechless. How did it become her fault? But still, better not argue with her, or who knows when they’ll actually get to eat.
She felt like she could eat a whole cow right now, she was so hungry it made her nervous.
"Considering how pitiful you are, I won’t hold it against you. Let’s go." Now that Qin Xue was familiar with Qing Zhu, she didn’t hold back anymore and started joking with her.
"Yes, yes, thank you, Mrs. Qin, for your generosity. Please forgive this little shrimp." Qing Zhu also started joking.
"Go on with you, calling me Mrs. Qin, do I look old? I was super young and now you made me sound old." Qin Xue was both amused and annoyed, playfully smacking Qing Zhu. The more they talked, the more ridiculous it got.
But Qin Xue realized one thing. Qing Zhu seemed different from before, but she couldn’t pinpoint how exactly. It just felt different.
And when Qing Zhu got sarcastic, she could infuriate someone without giving them an outlet, the kind that leaves you speechless.
She thought she herself had quite a sharp tongue, but surprisingly, she couldn’t match Qing Zhu. This feeling was oddly unsettling.
"Not old, not old at all. It’s an honorary title, okay? It shows my respect for you." Qing Zhu laughed as she turned to go hug her daughter. She’s now delighted to be a mom.
Well, in her muddled state, she had completed a major life event, saving herself this step in the future.
"Do you even know how to choose words, showing respect indeed, implying that I’m old?" Qin Xue didn’t bother arguing with her anymore. She admitted she couldn’t outwit her, and was afraid she’d end up infuriated.
So it turns out the familiar Qing Zhu is this kind of woman. Can’t judge a book by its cover. The woman before and this woman now, there’s hardly any resemblance left. Did she end up befriending the wrong person?
Qin Xue started to question her own friendship choices, getting driven to madness by someone.
"Haha, your reaction is so slow, you only now realized." Qing Zhu reached out to hug her daughter, but her hand came up empty.
Qing Zhu looked up in her daughter’s direction. What’s up with this man, why is he snatching her daughter again?
"I’ll hold her." Silver Wolf felt Qing Zhu’s gaze and met her beautiful eyes, speaking lightly. A quick flash of amusement crossed his eyes. He had deliberately scooped the child up just as she was about to reach out.
And then, he successfully saw the woman’s surprise turning into dissatisfaction, with a hint of detachment. How had she changed? That was Silver Wolf’s thought at the time.
Earlier, Qing Zhu never expressed much, but now she seemed to want to distance herself from him, leaving Silver Wolf unsure of how to respond.
"Eat." Yuran looked at Silver Wolf, who wasn’t moving, and expressed her discontent. Weren’t they supposed to be going for food? She’d been hungry for ages, why weren’t they going?
"Ah, oh, okay, let’s go eat." Silver Wolf snapped back to reality, glancing down at the little girl in his arms. Who cares what all this means, he didn’t bother anymore, taking the little girl to eat was the priority.
