Reborn on Wedding Night: Flirting the Cold Bigshot into Blushes-Chapter 419: Nancy Allen, I Want a Bouquet Too
Everyone stared wide-eyed at Julius Shaw.
No one expected to hear such blunt words at the meeting.
If it were Godfery Shaw who had an opinion about someone, he would discreetly make them pack up and leave without saying such direct words.
But right now, the person sitting in this chair was Julius Shaw.
Julius Shaw’s words directly shocked everyone.
Because Godfery Shaw was always decisive and authoritative, the old folks present believed that Julius Shaw truly meant what he said and would actually do it.
The gaze beneath Basil Smith’s lenses flickered. He sat back without voicing any objection.
At such moments, perhaps the second young master’s cruelty was needed to intimidate everyone.
Julius Shaw looked at the silent crowd and left coldly, going to find Nancy Allen.
Once Julius Shaw’s figure completely disappeared from everyone’s sight, they all simultaneously looked at Basil Smith.
After a long while, someone finally asked, "Basil Smith, what does Boss Shaw mean by this?"
Basil Smith adjusted his glasses and said with a smile, "Just what it says."
Everyone remained silent.
They indeed were dissatisfied with Basil Smith overseeing everything, but his management was actually steady and error-free.
If they continued to oppose, it was very likely they couldn’t stay in Cloudglow.
Everyone knew the first young master’s tactics.
At this moment, the person they thought had many methods had already left Cloudglow, heading towards the back street of Cloudglow Tower.
Stepping out of the building, his face grew more somber.
Those old guys from Cloudglow he didn’t care about; it was Nancy Allen’s thoughts he truly cared about.
Julius Shaw arrived at the flower room, knowing it was opened by Nancy Allen.
At this time, the flower room was empty; Julius Shaw stood at its door for a while and suddenly murmured, "I haven’t received flowers from Nancy Allen."
After saying this, Julius Shaw continued searching for her.
He found Nancy Allen at a place selling cotton candy.
They were buying cotton candy.
A young college student handed a flower-shaped cotton candy to Nancy Allen.
Julius Shaw walked over with a somber face.
Anywhere he went, his presence was too strong; the aura he emitted made people unconsciously look at him.
Especially now, without a mask, with his god-like face, he was instantly the focus wherever he appeared.
From afar, Nancy Allen saw him and slightly opened her small mouth.
Why was Julius Shaw here?
Wasn’t he supposed to be at the company?
Julius Shaw strode over, raised his hand, knocked the cotton candy from Frank’s hand onto the ground, and stepped on it.
Then he reached out and grabbed Frank’s collar, his eyes filled with hostility.
Luna Summer was startled, wondering why he started with a fight without a word.
No one knew what was happening; they were completely caught off guard.
Nancy Allen sighed inwardly, knowing if she didn’t intervene, things would escalate.
She hurriedly said, "Let him go. He’s helped me a lot; I was just buying him some food."
However, Nancy’s intervention made Julius Shaw’s hostility grow stronger. He turned his head and glanced at Nancy Allen with a fierce look.
This look froze Nancy Allen in place.
Julius Shaw was like this, dangerously unrestrained, capable of hurting others without hesitation, and able to look at her with eyes filled with killing intent.
This made Nancy Allen miss Godfery Shaw even more, wanting him back.
Nancy Allen suppressed the feeling of being threatened and grabbed Julius Shaw’s sleeve, sweetly saying, "Godfery Shaw, I want to eat hot pot, but they won’t let me."
Julius Shaw paused his actions.
The hostility in his eyes cleared a bit.
Nancy Allen saw this, immediately pulling Julius Shaw’s hand away from Frank, then held Julius Shaw’s hand and said to Frank, "Sorry, he didn’t do it on purpose."
Frank was indeed startled and quickly shook his head, saying it was okay.
Nancy Allen held Julius Shaw’s hand and said, "It’s so cold; take me to eat hot pot, okay?"
Like a raging beast being tamed, Julius Shaw nodded, "Okay."
Luna Summer breathed a sigh of relief – the second young master was truly dangerous. Luckily, the young madam could control him, but really, hot pot wasn’t an option!
Julius Shaw had fed Nancy Allen long enough to know she couldn’t have those heavy and spicy foods.
He took Nancy to a place.
Looking at the light soup hot pot she was faced with, Nancy Allen pursed her lips, "A hot pot without chili lacks soul."
Julius Shaw liked Nancy speaking to him this way, as if she were acting cute toward someone closest to her.
Patiently, he coaxed, "Be good, you can’t eat those; it’ll make you sick. This broth is a specialty of this place, made with 18 precious ingredients. Try it first; it tastes quite good."
Nancy Allen was just having a sudden craving, casually complaining, but wouldn’t purposely act recklessly.
Julius Shaw cooked a piece of beef and handed it to Nancy.
Nancy was used to being fed; she didn’t reach out to take it but directly opened her mouth.
After opening her mouth, she realized she had gotten used to interacting with Julius Shaw in this way; her eyelashes trembled.
Seeing Nancy like this, Julius Shaw fed the beef into her mouth.
Julius Shaw eagerly asked, "How is it?"
Thinking of the frightening habit, Nancy Allen felt uneasy and casually responded, "It’s good."
This "tastes good," for Julius Shaw, was like receiving some sort of praise, and he suddenly smiled.
A warm, sincere smile, with his brows and eyes filled with joy.
Nancy suddenly didn’t want to see such a smile.
She was just deceiving Julius Shaw; she couldn’t possibly live peacefully with him. Her fondness for his smile and intimacy was simply hoping for Godfery Shaw’s return.
Nancy lowered her head and continued eating. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Julius Shaw kept passing dishes to Nancy, seeming very happy watching her eat.
After finishing the hot pot, Nancy said she wanted to close the flower shop.
Of course Julius Shaw had to follow, and being a bodyguard, Luna Summer naturally followed suit.
Arriving at the flower room, Nancy Allen began tidying up, with Julius Shaw and Luna Summer naturally following to help.
Looking at those vibrant flowers, Julius Shaw suddenly recalled the roses his brother received in his memory.
Back then, Nancy secretly sent flowers to his brother and would even write a card.
Feeling envious, Julius Shaw couldn’t help but say, "Nancy, I also want a bouquet."
Nancy paused her action of arranging the flower basket, pretending not to hear the word "also," and replied, "Okay."
As Julius Shaw waited for Nancy to finish tidying up, he began to hope.
Would Nancy write him a card?
After arranging the flower room, Nancy Allen picked up a bouquet and handed it to Julius Shaw.
A bunch of sunflowers.
Each one blooming beautifully, bright and lovely.
Yet... they weren’t roses.
Nancy calmly said, "You just went to the company today; I hope your future stays bright with a smooth and successful career."
Julius Shaw accepted the sunflowers.
The tall and handsome man holding a bouquet of sunflowers, illuminated by the sunlight, looked beautiful like a picture from a comic.
But these weren’t roses.
He didn’t receive the roses he wished for nor the card he hoped for.
