Reborn: Sly Wife's Obsessed Tycoon Husband-Chapter 12: As toxic as she is deadly
Chapter 12: As toxic as she is deadly
Inside the lavish bathroom, there were rows upon rows of female haircare and skincare products.
Ella walked towards them and observed them closely.
These were all the brands that she preferred.
In fact, she had some of these back in her room also even though she no longer used them. She gave up using these things when she gained weight. Because her sense of self was shaken. She started hating how she looked.
Ella walked to stand in front of the tall bathroom mirror and tucked the loose strands of her hair behind her ears.
When she removed her clothes, her body seemed triple the size of how her body looked a few years ago.
But surprisingly, Ella did not feel any hatred or negativity that she felt whenever she looked at herself in the mirror in her past life.
All she felt was gratefulness. For being alive.
And only now did she realize how silly she had been in her past life. Her appearance was never bad, before or after losing weight. It was only her lack of care for her own self that made her feel ugly.
She regretted neglecting herself from the core of her heart.
A fierce determination crossed her eyes as she stroked her reflection. Eventually, she would rectify all her past mistakes.
Ella filled the bathtub, dropped some essential oils in the lukewarm water and soaked herself in it. Surprisingly, there were sheet masks of her preference in the bathroom as well. And they were not expired products.
She never stepped in the master bedroom. And for a fact, she knew that Adrian lacked the time for such elaborate skincare.
That left her with two guesses.
First, these belonged to another woman. Second, these were all arranged for her.
After spending half her life here in her past life, Ella was familiar with even the ghosts in this mansion so she knew that the first situation was impossible.
Then, did he arrange all these for her and get them constantly changed just in case she stepped here some day?
Ella took a long bath. Following that, she did some haircare and skincare for the first time in years.
After donning a bathrobe, she stepped out of the bathroom.
But her footsteps slowed when her gaze landed on the well-made bed. In the middle of it, there were two beautifully packed black boxes, one big and one small.
She grabbed the small one and unpacked it.
A phone...?
It was probably one of the latest models in the market.
Ella unlocked the phone and surprisingly, it already had all her data recovered. She had not lost a single picture.

The phone buzzed continuously, filling the screen with messages non-stop. A couple of texts caught her attention but she swiftly turned the silent mode on and locked the phone.
The bigger box had a laptop, the latest model again. One that probably came out in limited pieces, reserved for some specific people only.
Donned in the bathrobe, she carried all those things to her room and put them on her bed.
She wanted to get changed first but then the sight of her small sized outfits in the wardrobe discouraged her. Not a single one of them will fit her yet she had been stubborn about wearing these for so long.
Eventually, Ella went to the upper floor. The entire floor was like a grand luxury store. From clothes, to shoes to perfumes, everything was there and all of them were in trend.
A team was specifically assigned to handle things. The moment she got there, they surrounded her as if this was their life motto and they had been waiting for this day forever.
In her previous life also, Adrian had made all such arrangements for her but she had refused to bat an eye stubbornly. She dressed bad, ate bad, made bad decisions and trusted wrong people.
It would be foolish to not live well in this life though!
...
Downstairs, the servants were freer with their steps.
The ambience in the grand hall was rather refreshing.
For once, their second master seemed to be in a good mood.
"I have told you this over and over again, Ace. You cannot be so irresponsible with your health. Your condition already needs constant monitoring and you never consider that. On top of that, you have questionable emotional entanglements,'' Ronan nagged at his best friend, adjusting his golden rimmed glasses as he leaned back on the chair.
They were occupying the dining table which was completely empty. Except for the fruit basket in the center and the juice jugs, there was not a single edible thing on the table.
Ronan swiped his hand out of instinct a couple of times but he grabbed air every time. Looking at the empty dining table, he fumed some more, ''It is not uncommon that lack of sleep leads to lack of appetite but you still have to eat something. What is this empty table?"
Adrian looked up from the book in his and glanced at his best friend quietly.
''Say, aren't you divorcing that woman anytime soon?"
Adrian's eyes narrowed.
Ronan sighed, ''Don't glare at me. Your health has been aggravated ever since she came into your life. That woman is as toxic as she is deadly. Ever since you brought her here, what has she not done to harm you?"
Adrian propped the side of his face on his palm, looking at the couch area quietly as he listened to Ronan blabber.
''She acted all innocent and meek in front of you but then she went behind and burnt your house down. She broke your car, released the confidential documents of the King Empire in public, tried to poison you with pufferfish and god knows... she probably keeps a customized voodoo doll by your name! When are you going to see things through?"
Suddenly, Adrian pushed himself to his feet.
