Reborn With A Technology System In A Fantasy World-Chapter 86: Stressful Day
Chapter 86: Stressful Day
Three hours later, Adrian’s body screamed in pain, as the intricate footwork and drills he had to go through pushed him to his limits.
Sweat dripped from his brow and his muscles trembled as he noticed the time.
[11:30 AM].
With only an hour before the cafeteria opened and a full slate of classes ahead, he couldn’t keep going. "Master Von," he called in a hoarse voice, "I need a break. I have classes all day."
Von, standing with arms crossed, nodded curtly. "Rest, then. You’ve earned it."
Adrian let himself collapse onto the dojo floor, his chest heaving. The session had been brutal, but he’d made remarkable progress, his body beginning to grasp the technique’s fluid dodges.
Yet, the cost was evident; his joints ached, and his stamina was nearly drained.
Von approached, his expression a mix of approval and critique.
"You’ve learned another 10% of the technique, Adrian. Impressive for a day. But I’m disappointed... you haven’t mastered the 10% from yesterday. That tells me you didn’t practice."
Adrian’s eyes widened. ’How the hell would I have practiced? We just learned it yesterday!’ he wanted to shout. Instead, he bit his tongue and muttered, "I didn’t have time, sir."
Von’s gaze sharpened. "You’ll need to drill the movements you can manage alone without my guidance or joint loosening. It’ll speed our progress. Understood?"
Adrian nodded, forcing his frustration down. "I’ll try my best, sir."
"Good," Von said. "We’ll meet tomorrow morning after homeroom. Body Combat is scheduled after your electives, so expect two sessions."
Adrian’s pain vanished in a surge of disbelief. "What?" he blurted, scrambling to his feet. "That’s not possible!"
Von ignored him, settling onto his mat and closing his eyes to cultivate. Adrian stood there, fuming, but calmed himself with a deep breath.
Bowing respectfully, he muttered, "Thank you, sir," and dragged his sore body out of the dojo.
’I need rest,’ he thought, calculating his schedule. Forge Mastering was next, where he’d teach Master Gorran about clock-making, followed by Alchemy.
Accounting for lunch break, he had roughly 90 minutes to recover before he continued with classes. ’Hope that’s enough,’ he told himself, limping toward the dorms.

Adrian jolted awake at 12:30 PM, courtesy of [Tech Core]’s alarm blaring in his mind.
The nap had helped, but his body still felt like it had been trampled by a beast. Groaning, he sat up and rubbed his stiff shoulders.
He grabbed his cauldron, which was formerly stored in his [Inventory], ensuring he wouldn’t forget it for Alchemy class after Forge Mastering.
Slinging his bag over his shoulder, he headed out, each step a reminder of the morning’s grueling training.
The Forge Hall was bustling when he arrived, the hiss of cooling metal filling the air.
Master Gorran was at the center, barking instructions to students as they sorted tools and materials.
Catching Adrian’s eye, Gorran gave a brisk nod, signaling him to wait. Adrian leaned against a wall, watching as Gorran dispatched the class to their forges before striding toward the Instructor’s forge, a private room tucked within the hall.
"Adrian, come in," he called.
Adrian followed, stepping into the smaller, well-equipped forge. Adrian wasted no time after coming in.
"A clock is made up of some key components..."

After Forge Mastering, Adrian went for Alchemy class.
The session was lackluster, as they were made to repeat the stamina potion, and Adrian nearly regretted attending.
The only spark of excitement came at the end when Instructor Lira glanced at him. "Next class, I’ll introduce pill-making basics," she announced.
Adrian’s heart leaped with joy, but his excitement dimmed when he realized "next class" meant Monday. ’Still worth waiting for,’ he thought, nodding to himself.
"Don’t get too excited. We’ll only cover theory; you can’t make pills, at least not yet for some of you."
Her words barely registered as Adrian’s mind raced back to his heater project.
Dismissed, Adrian waved goodbye to Serena, and headed for Archery Class. Exhaustion weighed him down as he climbed the building’s stairs.
[4:44 PM].
’One final push.’
Inside, Instructor Sam was coaching Lyra, his voice low as he guided her. They both sat down with no bows in hands, and he only kept telling her what to do.
Adrian watched, guessing Sam was teaching her a martial technique.
He set his bag down, pulling his Mana Gun from it which he had retrieved from his [Inventory] earlier, along with stowing the cauldron.
Curious to test the gun’s new mode, he aimed at a target and fired. A soft patch of mana light splashed onto the outer ring, flashing briefly before fading.
Adrian smiled, satisfied with the effect, but noted his aim was off. He fired again, adjusting his stance.
Lyra soon resumed solo practice, her arrows thudding into targets with precision. Sam approached Adrian, his face lighting up as he spotted the Mana Gun.
"Let’s see this modification," he said and Adrian fired another shot, the mana patch hitting the target’s middle ring, glowing vividly before dissolving.
Sam’s eyes widened in a grin. "This is brilliant, lad! It is perfect for training. Mind if I try?"
Adrian handed it over, intrigued to see what he would do with an unfamiliar weapon.
Sam hefted the gun, inspecting its glowing barrel with a practiced eye before aiming at the farthest target.
He fired, and a luminescent mana patch splashed dead-center, glowing brightly before fading.
Adrian’s jaw dropped. Perfect accuracy on his first shot.
’Wow,’ he thought, marveling at Sam’s skill. The instructor’s years of bow mastery clearly translated to any ranged weapon, his steady hand and sharp focus making the gun an extension of his will.
Sam handed the gun back, nodding approvingly.
"Smooth mechanism. Now, let’s fix your stance." He adjusted Adrian’s grip, nudging his elbow higher and shifting his weight forward.
Adrian fired again after that, and the patch landed closer to the center.
Over the hours; Sam continued giving him more guidance and different factors to account for, but his attention remained more with Lyra as he rushed to her whenever she asked for feedback.
He spent several minutes with her, correcting her bow technique with detailed pointers, leaving Adrian to practice solo at times.
By class’s end, Adrian’s aim had increased further and he was more than grateful for that.
Sam told him not to feel too confident, that he would have to put them through more difficult shot tests outside the building soon.
Adrian looked forward to it as long as he continued improving. But for now, all that was in his mind was sleep.
He had never had a more stressful day, and he didn’t even spend it in the workshop.
