Chapter 1848 – Rourou and the Ruler

Final frowned suddenly as he looked at the battleground. Then, his eyes swept past Rourou.

“Hmph!” Rourou scoffed, “What are you looking at? I have been rooted here and I did not move. This is Qin Yu’s own enlightenment.”

Her eyes brightened.

She knew that little Qin Yu was not stupid. After all, he was someone she chose.

Red Sea calmly said, “So what if he had a realization? Heavenly Center’s comprehension of the power of the Blazing Sun far exceeds his and the outcome will not change.”

“Smelly old hag, shut up!” Rourou rolled her eyes, “Why is your breath so smelly? How long have you not brushed your teeth for?”

Red Sea’s eyes turned a deep red.

Final suddenly said, “Origin, Don’t overstep your boundaries. I will not say the same thing twice.”

Red Sea lowered her head, “I was wrong.” She cupped her hands together, “Lord Final, please do not lower yourself to my level.”

Rourou snickered to herself.

“Let’s continue watching.” Final’s voice was calm but the hostile tone was clear.

He was not in a good mood.

He had set up a lot of trump cards for the battle between the Blazing Suns and he had been certain that Qin Yu would die at least ten times. However, he was always proven wrong each time.

Firstly, Emperor Qin had been killed and Qin Yu had used Emperor Qin’s own hands to kill himself. Qin Yu escaped unscathed and he had not been weakened at all.

Secondly, Qin Yu had not fused the two Qin Nations and he abandoned the tag of Emperor Qin that would have made him stronger.

Otherwise, when the Domain of Obliteration descended and devoured the entirety of Xianyang City, Qin Yu would have been heavily injured as the domain continued to expand.

Thirdly, Heavenly Center was much stronger than Qin Yu. The two seemed equally matched, but the victor had already been decided. Against Heavenly Center, Qin Yu’s possibilities of winning were so slim, it was close to zero percent.

However, Qin Yu had a realization now and Final had a bad feeling about this.

A realization did not mean understanding. In the human world, everyone may know all kinds of truth, but what they knew was what they knew. How many truly understood the real logic of things and acted according to logic even though they knew that it would derive them the most benefits?

This was where ‘realizations’ were different. Those who realized could see the real logic behind things. From Qin Yu’s point of view right now, he was currently the strongest ‘logic’ in this entire world.

If I am this strong, why would I be sealed by an ice block?

With this thought, his mind spun quickly and rapid cracking sounds could be heard around him. The invisible ice seal was being destroyed. It could no longer withstand the force that was coming from Qin Yu.

It was the power of the Blazing Sun!

In the empty space, the dim sun grew bright again and its dazzling light illuminated the environment. Heavenly Center frowned and his eyes turned dark. Victory had been right in front of him and yet it had slipped out of his grasp all of a sudden.

Nonetheless, his expression quickly became composed again. He raised his arm forward and clenched his fist, “Deprivation!” Since the ice seal had failed, there was no point in continuing to preserve it.

Furthermore, the powers that Blazing Sun Owners had were not limited to just that. However, ‘Deprivation’ was considered one of the strongest skills that a Blazing Sun Owner possessed.

It could directly steal the power of anything that a user’s light was shining upon. A simple sentence that seemed unassuming. However, the nine suns shone down upon all lands and everything in the world was their domain.

In other words, as long as the Blazing Sun Owner was willing, they could steal every power in the world for themselves!

The Blazing Sun behind Heavenly Center that represented him released a powerful devouring force. Like a huge black hole, its force covered Qin Yu and the Blazing Sun behind him.

At that moment, it felt like an uncountable number of sharp knives was tearing apart Qin Yu’s strength, sucking and pulling it away from Qin Yu.

Qin Yu very quickly felt the pain of this move but his expression remained calm. Since everything in this world was his Divine Nation, his will would be able to control everything.

“Deprivation!”

Behind him, his Blazing Sun shook slightly and put up its strongest resistance against the attack.

The little blue lamp’s voice rang in his head, “Qin Yu, in your current circumstances, it may not be in your best interest to directly face Heavenly Center’s devouring head on.”

Qin Yu said, “I know, but do you think I have any other better choice than this right now?”

His eyes were resolute.

Qin Yu knew that he could not take on Heavenly Center directly. The only outcome from that was eventual submission.

However, this required time.

Right now, Qin Yu had to kill Heavenly Center before the little blue lamp was fully devoured. He was now fused with the little blue lamp and with a single thought, he was able to sense everything that the little blue lamp was facing.

The little blue lamp finally understood what Qin Yu was thinking – Heavenly Center’s strength was that he had a good comprehension of the powers of the Blazing Sun. He was much more familiar with them and able to unleash its full potential. Then in order to get rid of his advantage, they needed to get rid of the factor of the Blazing Sun. They had to fight based on their own strength. This was the only way for Qin Yu to win at this point.

“Qin Yu, you have to hurry!”

With these final words, the little blue lamp restrained his aura and the Blazing Sun that represented Qin Yu released a brilliant light. He was trying his best to bind the other Blazing Sun Fragment to render it incapable of helping Heavenly Center. After all, in this battle of devouring, whoever had their strength sucked away would be in a weakened state.

Heavenly Center could see through Qin Yu’s plan but he was not afraid. Even if he did not rely on the strength of the Blazing Sun, he was also someone at the peak of his cultivation. Qin Yu had only recently reached his peak and regardless of how strong he was, he was a young and tender seedling. This lack of maturity would determine his downfall in a battle between equal ranks.

The two Blazing Sun projections above their heads were desperately devouring each other. Forces from both sides collided wildly and it caused the Domain of Obliteration to shake.

However, it was evident that the little blue lamp was at a disadvantage. His powers were slowly being sucked away from him. Perhaps, this was just the beginning and the depletion was not obvious. However, as the other Blazing Sun Fragment grew stronger, the speed of devouring was increasing.

When the difference in their powers reached a certain threshold, the other Blazing Sun Fragment would only need one bite to swallow the little blue lamp. Therefore, like what the little blue lamp said, Qin Yu had to finish Heavenly Center as soon as possible!

“Qin Yu, I am right here. Go ahead if you want to kill me.” Heavenly Center spoke calmly. He raised his hand and light rays rushed out of his fingertips. They gathered onto his palm, turning into an aura that was bright red, burning, and destructive.

“Purgatory!”

As he yelled, Heavenly Center extended his arm forward and pulled. Suddenly, a World of Purgatory appeared in the Domain of Obliteration. It was a deep red color with magma burning fiercely. The World of Purgatory was surging violently.

A destructive aura flooded the air.

Rourou frowned and her eyes turned icy cold. She looked at Red Sea without much expression, “You have really extended your claws.” Her voice was calm and it did not carry much tone. However, the calmness made the Blazing Sun Owners present involuntarily frowns and feel fear.

No one dared to say that they were familiar with her temper. After all, not many had had much interaction with her in this millennium. However, one thing was certain. The more calm and unmoving she appeared, the angrier she was.

After all, when she fought against Final back then, every Blazing Sun Owner had been present and they personally witnessed her expressions back then. It was very similar to her current face.

Red Sea was silent but she did not try to argue. What was done was done and there was no need for her to hide it anymore, nor did she have any more chances.

Fear…Red Sea admitted that to a certain extent, she felt fear even if she was a Blazing Sun Owner. After all, from a certain angle, Rourou was on par with Final.

Nonetheless, it was still only from a certain angle. She feared her but it wasn’t to the extent that she was paralyzed by fear.

Qin Yu could not become the new Blazing Sun Owner!

In the divine palace in the galaxy, the hidden Blazing Sun Ruler said, “We did not go and break the rules of the agreement as we did not make a move on Qin Yu. I hope that you will not break the rules either.”

Rourou scoffed, “Rules? This might be useful for another person, but do you think I care?”

Final’s expression was calm and he lightly tapped his fingers. Ripples rose in the World of Purgatory.

“Origin, this does not go against our previous agreement.”

Rourou’s eyes narrowed, “You are threatening me?”

Final answered, “If you understand it in this way, then so be it.” He sucked in a deep breath of air and sighed out in exasperation, “Qin Yu is right here and killing him would be very easy.”

“Therefore, do not provoke me. This is your warning.”

Rourou simply replied, “Why don’t you try?”

Her voice was calm but cold.

It was this expression, this expression precisely!

All the Blazing Sun Owners, including Red Sea, wore straight faces and their eyes started to quaver slightly. Back then, her expression had changed to this right before the grand battle began.

If they had not reacted quickly and dodged to the side, they would have been dragged into the battlefield. Even if they did not die there, a few layers of their skin would have been ripped off of them!

Was another grand battle going to happen again today?

“Your tempers are both horrible. At the very least, you both should live up to your names. Since everyone placed a bet, then watch quietly and don’t flip out with one another.” A helpless voice rang through the air. The Domain of Obliteration shook slightly as the Ruler stepped forward. She was still as casual as ever and her hair was slightly messy. She appeared dazed, as though she had just woken up from a nap.

However, the air turned heavy when the Ruler stepped forward.

Final’s eyes narrowed and the divine light in his eyes glowed brightly as he stared at the Ruler. He was shocked; he had never expected that the Ruler would come here.

This definitely exceeded his expectations.

Rourou seemed to be even more surprised. She frowned deeply as she stared at the Ruler and her expression was as dark as water.

The rest of the Blazing Sun Owners were speechless and they carefully shifted their gazes between Rourou and the Ruler.

The Ruler playfully pinched Rourou’s cheek, “This gloomy expression can scare off a few people. Alright, it is too late to bicker since we have already met. Just accept reality quietly. After all, we were bound to meet. This meeting has just been slightly earlier.”

Rourou scoffed coldly and smacked the Ruler’s hand away.

The Ruler smiled and turned towards Final, “Hi! My old friend, we meet again. What? You are bullying my little sister when I am not home?”

“Who is your little sister…” Rourou snapped.

Final’s expression was calm again and he smiled, “It is a misunderstanding. I won’t do such a thing; you know me.”

“Mm, I do know you.” The Ruler nodded, “After all, I was the one who tore your body into pieces and scattered it all around the universe back then. How can you forget about that?”

Final nodded, “Don’t talk about that. Just thinking about it is unpleasant. Thankfully, I did not suffer for naught and I managed to make some gains again.”

The Ruler smiled, “Why don’t we do it again and refresh that feeling of impulsiveness from back then?”

Her eyes twinkled as she smiled and dared Final.

A scoff escaped Rourou’s mouth.

Some people often thought that she was unreasonable and too playful. They forget about where she inherited her personality from. In terms of being a rascal, she never dared to say she was a pro!

Final laughed bitterly, “Alright, I admit my fault. I apologize.” He cupped his hands together.

The rest of the Blazing Sun Owners could relax slightly and it was only now that they realized they were drenched in cold sweat. Rourou alone was alright but no one had expected that the Ruler would suddenly show herself.

Things had taken a drastic turn…after all, their appearance had decided that…no wonder Lord Final would lower his head; he probably did not expect this either.

However, it was best if no one took action. Otherwise, things would really go out of control. The Ruler smiled and looked at the various Blazing Sun Owners. No one dared to meet her gaze directly.

“Since everyone does not have an opinion, then let's observe quietly. Before the bet ends, we don't need to quarrel with one another.”

Final laughed bitterly.

There was nothing right about her words.

Inside the purgatory, numerous flames licked out to taste the air menacingly. Each of them stretched out across the sky and became crimson red chains that slashed out. At the same time, magma was gathering from all four corners and it turned into a reservoir of magma. No,  with how the magma was covering the entire sky, it was more accurate to call it an ocean of magma. Qin Yu raised his hand and swiped it across the sky. The Ancient God Spear swung downwards and clashed against the metallic chains, causing them to break apart such that these chains were not able to get close to him at all. However this was just the appetizer.

These chains recovered almost instantaneously and they zipped towards him again from all directions. At this moment the ocean of magma was surging violently, and it felt like a terrifying creature was about to break through from within.
