The two remained silent as they enjoyed the cool breeze of the day caressing their skin.

Now, Emma was resting her head on Ray’s lap, while her big brother gently stroke her hair.

"I’m happy to see you’re okay, big brother." Emma muttered softly.

"Me too Emma, and thank you."

"For what?"

"For being the best and cutest little chipmunk a big brother could ever ask for."

"I’m not a chipmunk." The little girl puffed her cheeks cutely in annoyance but Ray could see the edges of her lips which were desperately trying to hold back her cute smiles.

"I tried checking up on the eggs in your room earlier today but Mom said I shouldn’t." Emma said. "It’s not like I wanted to break the eggs or something. I just wanted to see how they were doing."

"Well, mom didn’t want you coming into my room cause I was still asleep at the time."

"But now that you’re awake, can I go to your room? I’ll just touch them and maybe show my friends the cool eggs we have in our house."

"That won’t be a good idea Emma."

"Why not?"

"The eggs need to be kept in a really warm place, so that means no carrying and definitely no touching of the eggs if you want to see them hatch soon."

"They’ll be hatching soon?"

"Yeah." Ray was certain about this after infusing his wyvern energy into the eggs.

He wasn’t certain of the exact day the eggs would be hatching but he was positive that it was only a matter of time before they do.

"Big brother?"

"Hmm?"

"When the eggs do hatch, can I name one of them?"

"I’ll think about it." 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

"Please....?"

"Alright fine, you win, but only if you give it a good name."

"Hehehe~ I’ve been thinking about some really cool names, how does Cutie pie sounds? I could always go for Peaches too or Blossom hehehe~"

Ray smiled softly as he doubted if he had made the right choice in allowing Emma to give a wyvern a name.

Wyverns were large and terrifying creatures, so it only made sense for their names to be equally as menacing as them.

But right now, his little sister thought it would be cool to call a terrifying creature like the wyvern, Peaches??

*Sighs*

’Oh well, let’s not think too much about that right now.’ Ray pulled his attention from such trivial topics for now as he glanced at the sky while hearing the sounds of the villagers, all working very hard in rebuilding their houses and the buildings that had been destroyed during the tide.

Later that night, Ray’s house was quiet after everyone had eaten dinner.

Helen had gone to bed early after spending the day working from one spot to the next.

Emma, on the other hand, managed to stay awake for a while because she was busy spending time with her big brother.

She didn’t even know when her body had gotten so tired, and now, she was sleeping on Ray’s lap.

Seeing this, Ray smiled as he carried her to her room.

Since Emma was so exhausted and worn out, the little girl didn’t even wake up while her big brother carried her to bed.

She simply mumbled a few words before curling toward the warmth she was feeling from Ray.

Once settled on her bed, Ray stood in the doorway of her room for a moment before pulling the door closed behind him.

On his way back to his room, Ray noticed Mira was already sitting on the floor, in front of the two eggs, watching them closely as though there was something wrong with the two eggs.

"Is it just me or do they look bigger than yesterday?" Mira asked with a cute and puzzled look on her face.

Ray smiled softly as he pulled up his shirt before sitting on the edge of his bed.

"Yeah, they are. Apparently, these two gluttons feast on mana that had been fused with wyvern energy."

During dinner, Ray and Mira had discussed about the wyverns.

During their discussion, Ray shared how he had fed the eggs a special kind of energy he had obtained after defeating the large wyvern that attacked the village.

"How many times did you feed them today?"

"Three times and each time they drain my mana until only a little remain." Ray grumbled as he lie on the bed and stared at the ceiling.

Mira noticed this and instantly stood up to lie next to him with a giggle. "Hehehe~ somebody is already practicing how to be a dad officially."

"I know right, and it’s exhausting. To be honest, I’m worried they’ll soon need me to feed them four times a day."

"Well, that’s part of the responsibilities that comes with being a father." Mira leaned closer before planting a kiss on his lips.

"Mmm~ you do know that if I’m their father, then that makes you their mom."

"I know but you don’t see me complaining about it."

"Shut up, you’re just saying that because it isn’t your mana they’re draining."

"Hehehehe ~ touche." Mira chuckled softly before placing a hand on Ray’s chest.

She could feel his broad chest and soft areola, then her fingers slowly slid down to his ribcages.

"How are your ribs?"

"Still a bit sore, but they should be fine in a few days."

"Aww, that’s good to hear but it’s somewhat sad to hear at the same time." Mira muttered softly as she pulled away from him.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, someone owes me a hundred kisses so I thought I would be getting my reward tonight but it seems your body is still healing and I won’t want to do anything to make you feel sore again." Mira replied teasingly as she crawled to the center of the bed.

Ray watched as her perfectly shaped round butt jiggled in front of him with her tail wagging softly behind her.

Seeing as how a perfectly ripped fruit was crawling away from him, Ray felt somewhat pissed off and unhappy, thinking that he won’t be able to have a taste of it tonight.

He swiftly grabbed Mira’s feet before pulling her back to him in a swift and gentle manner.

Mira yelped in surprise before giggling as she realized what was about to happen.

Moreover, Ray was having a primal gaze glinting in his eyes right now, so she knew there was no way he was going to let her go scot-free.

"Let’s get one thing straight little lady." Ray growled as he pinned her between his two arms. "I said my ribs felt sore. I didn’t say I won’t be giving you your reward as we’ve previously agreed. So never underestimate your boyfriend again, are we clear?"

"Aye aye sir." Mira chuckled softly but Ray simply rolled his eyes with a smile.

"You’re such a dork." Ray delved down to rain kisses all over her body, causing Mira to clench the sheets while moaning as the kiss escalated into something more exciting.
