Chapter 671: Chapter 671: The Reversed Conquest

President Musty was sitting down in his office.

This office was not the same office that was in his domain in the mortalverse. This one was specially prepared for him in the Draconic Heaven so that he could command his people from here if necessary.

However, he hardly did any actual commanding as he had left that job to his wives who all acted as his vice presidents, and some trusted Horse Governors.

This office was neat.

A large, hundred-meter-wide, red table with golden horse patterns at the edges stretched out and covered half of the room. It was a huge table.

Behind the table, President Musty sat on a comfortable wheeled chair. Behind him, a tall vertical window shimmed multicolored light, casting a mysterious shadow on the chair he was sitting on.

A long shadow slipped on the red table. The shroud of the shadow made President Musty’s eyes look a bit more menacing than they actually were, the glow of those two golden dots was bright in the Presidential office.

Musty looked down at his hand, observing the visible and tangible clump of Conquering Essence floating at the center of his palm.

He flexed his fingers, watching the moats of golden light weave around his hand as if they didn’t want to touch him.

This clump of Conquering Essence was the very thing that would make any lion kill him on sight.

Reversed Conquering Essence.

President Musty wore a defeated smile. It was much more significant than he had imagined.

He couldn’t even touch his own Conquering Essence anymore because he had submitted it to the Law of Destruction.

All he could do now was produce it, that was all.

As for actually controlling it, it had lost the ability to do so. The very thing that made him a legitimate contender for the full embodiment of the Law of Conquering, he was losing it.

Every day, he asked himself, was it worth it?

This was a mutually assured destruction with his goal being for the complete crushing of the lions.

All he needed technically was for the Primordial Lion to die, then he would be free to pursue the embodiment until another contender arrived.

Unfortunately, he was working with Ibadon and he doubted whether Ibadon would just stop at the death of Kael.

Musty had underestimated Ibadon’s genuine and raw hatred for the lions. It was beyond logic and reason to the point that Ibadon lived and died for the extermination of the lion race.

Musty was just an unexpected tool to fall into his hands, a literal workhorse that would now be pushed to the limits.

This was not the fate of a Conqueror, it was the fate of a Slave.

How shameful.

Musty sighed.

Every Primordial was affiliated with one of the Heavenly Laws of the universe and each of them would experience Law Rejection differently.

Charvi, the Primordial Peacock of Charm had been unconscious for a long time, unknowingly experiencing Law Rejection because there had been no one to see her beauty but everyone was benefiting from it at the time.

The Primordial Rat had suffered Law Rejection when he was out in a state of full bondage.

President Musty had observed many Primordials, a few of which he had killed with his own hooves, and could guess the type of Law Rejection some would experience.

But he never thought that his own Law Rejection would be so brutal.

Musty felt extremely sick of himself at the moment. It felt like his skin and bones didn’t belong to him.

Was this what Derylia had been willing to endure to prove her love? And to think she had endured this to the very end.

The door to the Presidential Office opened and someone walked into the room.

It was the Empress of the Dragon Empire, Elizabeth.

As soon as she entered the room, she scanned her vicinity with her eyes before landing her gaze on President Musty’s figure.

She smiled, taking a bold step forward and flashing away before appearing on the table.

Elizabeth’s heels made dark clicking sounds as they scraped the red wooden surface of the table.

This wood came from a very exotic tree and wouldn’t easily collapse under the weight of someone like Elizabeth who probably weighed hundreds of tons even when supporting herself with her powers.

"Hey there," Elizabeth leaned down to stare into Musty’s tired eyes, "Have you prepared more of that stuff?" She asked.

Her eyes drifted to the clump of golden essence fluctuating on Musty’s palm.

"Take," Musty raised his hand to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth beamed a bright and menacing smile, exposing her sharp teeth. She crouched down in an unladylike manner and grabbed Musty’s wrist.

Musty did not resist, this was not the first time he had experienced this with Elizabeth.

Elizabeth opened her mouth and looked at the clump of golden Conquering Essence as if she were watching a delicious meal.

She was the second Primordial Dragon in a row that would be enjoying this privilege.

She sucked in and the clump of Conquering Essence was pulled into her mouth.

She didn’t stop until all the Conquering Essence was gone and Musty’s hand was free.

"Thanks," She said before standing up and preparing to leave.

There was no use for small talk between the two of them. After all, it was a clear agreement and her faction was clearly the stronger party.

Even though she was polite, she had no respect for this President who turned against his own race to get rid of one enemy.

It didn’t matter anyway as long as it made her Ibadon happy.

"Wait," President Musty called before Elizabeth left. His golden dit eyes flashed with annoyance.

"Oh, is something the matter?" Elizabeth asked, willing to entertain small talk if it was necessary.

"I just received a message from two of my Primordials, they are under attack by a powerful time lioness called Memphis.

I need you to spare some dragon officials to handle her permanently.

I can’t focus with them constantly reporting to me about their danger," Musty said with an annoyed expression.

Elizabeth raised her eyebrows, "Our strongest dragons are being prepped for the First Annihilation phase, they can’t involve themselves in any battle yet.

However, Uncle Seth’s brother has been available for some action..."
