Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 700: Hunting Luck
Kael was looking around, not just with his eyes, but also with his nose and all his other senses.
He could sense the presence of all the Primordials that were here and knew who and who was which.
After all, he was the one who had subjugated them personally before they signed his contract.
Kael suddenly locked eyes with a particular humanoid female, one with tiny eyes and large bat ears on her bald head.
Immediately, the lads looked away, not daring to continue looking at Kael. She shifted her eyes slightly so that it wouldn’t be obvious.
She was the Primordial Bat of Night and her story was probably the most embarrassing.
She had battled the consorts for one straight week, proving her might and the meaning of nighttime with her powers.
Only for Kael to descend and knock her out with one hit.
The aura she had felt just before his hand landed on her face was still stuck in her memory.
This was probably why she had the deepest impression of Kael. She had experienced a glimpse of that unholy aura firsthand. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
She was even sure that Kael would have broken her head if he applied a little bit more pressure and had been more ruthless.
Kael just glanced at her and moved his eyes away, not even thinking about it. He couldn’t waste too much of his mental capacity on thinking about what every Primordial was thinking.
"Where are they?" Kael asked again.
He was expecting someone, or something people.
Finally, there was a dot in the sky that rapidly expanded as it drew closer at an extremely fast rate.
It was an arkship and at the speed it was moving, one would think that the driver was in a hurry.
That’s because he was late.
Kael narrowed his eyes, then looked away.
The arkship did not approach the pyramids, instead, it was parked among the other arkships in a disorganised manner.
The other Primordials present observed this with some mixed expressions. Some of them had a lot of their kinsmen residing in those arkships and would prefer it if nothing happened.
At the same time, the arkship that just arrived had the hatch under it open up as four beings jumped out.
Two were very familiar.
One of them was Diane in her humanoid form. She dropped to the ground in her humanoid form, her legs stabbing into the ground under the immensity of her weight.
After glancing at the cracks on the ground and straightening her legs, she flexed her shoulders and stood tall.
More than seven feet tall, even taller than Kael. She and the late Exalon would share a similar height only that she would be slightly shorter and slimmer.
But Diane was not exactly slim. Her legs and arms bulged with fine muscles and a skin that dropped over her flesh like the fine fabric of a model’s cheek.
Her hips curved out like the hunting bows of a goddess, looking like she could hip thrust a moon out of the strongest orbits.
Her hair, slightly fuller and still as messy as it always was, reached down to her waist, giving her an extremely wild look.
She moved, her elbows and knees flexed and she launched herself out of the ground and toward the camp of pyramids.
The second figure to have come down from the arkship was also very tall, but not as tall as Diane.
His grey hair and handsome face made it so that he was recognised as Ralph, the Primordial Wolf of Hunting.
Ralph was looking a little more mature than the last time he saw the All-King face-to-face.
His yellow eyes spoke of many horrific battles that he had survived and won. After all, if he didn’t win, he wouldn’t be standing here today.
Held in Ralph’s right hand was a pair of chains that he gripped with an unknown level of strength.
His face was cold as he turned around to look at the last two figures who had dropped behind him.
The sound of chains hitting the ground and being dragged across the soil resounded so loudly that it reached the ears of the surveying Primordials.
Far away, in the midst of the other Primordials, Marcus and Ivana were looking at Ralph.
Marcus had a thin smile on his face as he observed Ralph. He could see an aura of death surrounding this friend of his.
Obviously, the aura of death did not belong to Ralph but to the enemies that must have fallen by his hand.
He could only imagine what this wolf had gone through to catch his prey.
Marcus shifted his gaze to look at the figures behind Ralph.
The two figures that were bound by chains.
One was a short golden-haired girl. Yes, gold. Her hair was blonde like Kael’s, it was literally gold to the point it even seemed metallic and was reflecting light from the sky.
The girl was short and kept on looking around with her bright, radiant, pupil-less eyes. She seemed more amazed by the new environment that she was in rather than being afraid or fearful.
Her clothes were a simple one-piece dress and it wasn’t even the best of qualities. Here in Leonine Heaven, she was like a poor country bloke in the estate of rich nobles.
Ivana who stood beside Marcus and was also looking at Ralph suddenly paused. Her eyes locked on the little golden-haired girl.
However, Marcus, Ivana, and a few others were the ones who paid little attention to this girl. She didn’t seem threatening at all.
The same couldn’t be said for the other person though.
The chain shook as this person actively tried to remove his hands.
This person was also a young-looking person with solid black short hair and two deep red eyes.
The blackness of his hair and the redness of his eyes did not appear to be because of some sort of power side effect. Instead, those were the natural colour of his physical traits.
This little boy was the one who appeared the most threatening. He constantly tugged on the chains binding his arms, trying in every way to get free.
He wasn’t concerned with the environment he was in like the golden-haired girl. He just wanted to get free.
Ralph paid both of them no heed as he pulled on the chains ruthlessly, dragging them along to follow him.
Soon, Ralph was in the presence of the other Primordials.
They all looked at him with judgmental gazes. So this colleague of theirs was the Primordial of Hunting? They thought to themselves.
Ralph looked around for a moment, hiding his shock at seeing so many Primordials in one place.
He had journeyed across stars and galaxies to find his prey and during his adventure, he had encountered a few small civilizations and interacted a bit with the bigger ones.
He knew how rare he and the other Primordials were.
Swallowing his saliva and maintaining his calm facial expression, Ralph focused his attention on the being he had truly come to see.
Kael, the All-King, was standing with his arms behind his back and talking to Diane who was chatting with her beloved with an elated expression.
Ralph had done the hunting and tracking, but after finding them, he fought them and had no choice but to call for some help.
Hence, Diane had come with him in the spaceship.
It hadn’t been easy.
Ralph shivered, remembering the effort he and Diane had to exert just to capture these two child-like Primordials.
He felt a little bit of shame actually, understanding that the assignment Kael had given him could not be achieved without outside help.
When Kael had met him on that fateful day and given him the assignment, even he had been shocked.
"I want you to hunt Luck," Kael had said to Ralph back then.
It was abstract, it was incomprehensible, it should be impossible.
How was he supposed to hunt Luck?
What was luck?
Was luck something that could be tracked down?
Ralph had not been sure.
But he accepted the assignment partly because he did not have the guts to refuse and also because he wanted the thrill of a hunt.
A perfect hunter ignoring such a challenge? Impossible.
Ralph had used the basic knowledge that he had and took the wolf arkship with Jocelyn, Ben, Commander Bibi, and the others assisting him.
Kael had not given a deadline to find this ’thing’ but he made sure to act fast.
Ralph and the assisting wolves took their time, asking those small big civilization questions and using their common sense.
With Ralph who was the literal personification of a hunter, they knew they had a chance of success.
Nothing was impossible in this universe.
Even Luck could be hunted down.
Using basic clues and tracks,.They checked for prosperity levels, fortune frequency, and the appearance of good things in the lives of creatures of the universe in different areas.
It took them a while but they finally found it after years of following the tracks.
Ralph didn’t just find Luck, he found Good Luck and Bad Luck.
He found the Primordial Crow of Bad Luck and the Primordial Goldfish of Good Luck.
Both existing on the same planet at the same time.
And now, he had come back to present himself and his captured prey. He had come to tell his master, the All-King, that he had succeeded.
The Hunt was a success.
