Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 720: The Inevitable Path Of Wisdom.
"A name?" Kael muttered. He thought about a befitting name for this Primordial Monkey.
Once again, it was upon his shoulders to do some name bestowal. Wei, Ivana, and his consorts had benefited from this.
Kael would like to believe that he had excellent naming sense… he would like to believe such.
After some thought, Kael chose a simple name, "George," He said.
Kael just chose it randomly, he didn't see any uniqueness in it. It was a very random name.
George, the Primordial Monkey of Wisdom.
As soon as he said the name, the monkeys under the influence of Kael's spirit, unknowingly agreed to the contract.
The stack of golden paper disappeared and in its place was the anchor of an invisible system.
The Monkey System was created almost instantly and The Web was immediately connected to it.
Suddenly, all the monkeys in the arkship saw transparent blue screens appearing in front of them.
They got access to all the features that came about from being officially under the All-King and the whole lion race in extension.
Kael ignored the new influx of messages from both the lions and the monkeys.
A war is currently happening in heaven. The lions were defending themselves from the dragons. To see a new notification that a new system had been added was a subtle distraction that the lions all paid attention to.
What were monkeys?
Some knew of the ancient race that once ruled the early universe but many of them did not know the actual name of the race nor did they know what they looked like.
At the same time, the monkeys, who were more intelligent than the average creatures, began to interact with the systems almost immediately.
Many of them started having conversations with The Web, asking all manner of questions so that they could know what was happening.
The reaction of the monkeys was a mix of curiosity, fear, and distrust, which were all expected from them.
Kael ignored it all. He was paying attention to the new pool of Law Essence that had developed inside his body.
Wisdom Essence.
As soon as Kael willed for it to be used, his eyes shot open and his body jerked. He was really affected by it.
N'bayé noticed Kael's little movements and paid more attention to him.
"Your Majesty?" She called.
Kael did not answer. Not because he was pausing or taking a break, but because he genuinely didn't comprehend what she said at that moment.
His mind banged, not painfully, but as if he was under the influence of some cosmic level narcotics.
Kael's pupils shrank and expanded repeatedly. His sense of curiosity heightened and his pattern recognition abilities improved by at least ten times.
Kael was already very smart by normal standards, but now, Kael's mind would make him a genius among geniuses.
His brain in particular transformed drastically. His neuron pathways expanded and solidified on all sides.
Kael could somewhat feel some emotions once again. He wasn't being controlled by these emotions and Kael was sure that these emotions were not actually his.
They were just there because they were part of the package that came with being Wise.
Now, Kael could say that he was wise.
But he wouldn't.
Not anymore.
Not now.
The wiser one became, the more they understood just how dumb they could possibly be.
Kael's mind presented him with millions of questions that he could not possibly answer, not at this stage of his life.
Kael looked around. He suddenly realised through his enhanced curiosity that he didn't actually know a lot.
Well, he knew a lot when compared to other ordinary creatures, but Kael had to stop using ordinary creatures to serve as a baseline for himself.
He was beyond that.
So many questions popped into his head all at once.
Why was he alive?
Why was he reincarnated?
Who exactly was the Highest Will?
What was the universe?
How did the universe start?
When did it begin?
Why did the universe need Primordials?
What was beyond the immortal tier?
What was Law Essence?
How did it work?
Could I build some interesting things?
How could he ascend?
Was it even possible to conquer the universe?
Why had no one done it before?
Or had someone done it already, what if someone had already conquered the universe and every other creature was all pieces on that person's chessboard?
What if that person existed?
What if he or she didn't?
What was an atom? Why did the universe have atoms?
Were atoms existing before the beginning of the universe? Or did they form after?
Were there alternatives to atoms?
What alternatives could there possibly be in this universe?
What if there were no alternatives in this universe?
What about other universes?
Did other universes exist?
What was it like in another universe?
"..."
Kael took a gentle breath into his nostrils. Wasn't this the thought pattern that led the monkeys to develop technologies for multiversal travel?
Kael realised just how dangerous the Law of Wisdom was.
Because, a side effect of the Law of Wisdom was perpetual curiosity. As long as there was a possibility, anyone affiliated with the Law of Wisdom would always think about knowing what is not yet known.
As long as Kael had the Wisdom Law with him, he would always be curious about everything, including himself. It would continue this way until he finally knew everything there was to know about everything in existence.
Kael wouldn't worry about this as he had already conquered himself and could suppress it.
But George couldn't do such a thing. George was a thinking time bomb, as well as the entire Monkey race.
Kael understood why they had pursued multiversal travel.
At the level they had reached in the past, they had answered many questions concerning their universe. They were bored and curious.
They became so curious that they started disregarding the rules laid down by the Highest Will.
It was inevitable that they would seek what lay beyond this universe. They didn't need a desire to conquer everything like Kael, they just wanted to know what they didn't.
And it would happen again.
