Vice, Gordon and the elf with red eyes walked the uneven send, sometimes slipping as the buzzards and birds cycled squawked

They had already parted ways with the other slimes while a few remained inside his dungeon, Vice assumed the queen was still inside because he never saw her.

He turned to the elf chatting with Gordon about swordsmanship "since you have Utals memories why don't you just lead us to a secret entrance in the city"

"The is no secret entrance in any city on this country" the elf looked ag him "even if the was a secret entrance I would advise against it"

Vice raised an eyebrow as he asked the elf "why?"

"the goblins know about our abilities as well because of this some information we have on them might be useless" the elf stopped walking and looked past Vice "and can be used to lure into traps"

"Ok then do know any place in the city that is not heavily guarded?" Vice turned to the hump in the sand behind him

The elf narrowed his eyes at Vice "did you not hear me tell you the place might be trapped"

"It doesn't matter" Vice squinted as the hump faintly shock as they stepped closer

The elf sighed "yes the northern gate"

Vice looked down at the hump and felt a racing heart through his man 'probably a scout'

He walked past it while the elf stood there gripping the hilt of his sword "are you going to ignore this?"

"Yes" Vice didn't bother tl looked back "and I advise you, to leave it alone"

The elf narrowed his eyes at Vice, his eyes faintly changing colour while Gordon eyes dotted between them as if study them

They kept walking but now the was a heavy silence between them as the sand trickled down the gentle slopes

'The slimes are persistent about me attacking the city head on' he glanced back at the elf 'are trying to terminate the contract by getting me killed?'

He shock his head instantly denying the idea 'their queen could have easily done it, so why did she let me live?'

Although Vice was happy about being alive, he was filled with questions about the validity deal with the slimes since his strength was insignificant to their war

Vice looked back but now at the hump behind them, a portal appeared and Vice kept on walking while the elf narrowed his eyes at him

'I doubt the goblins and ogres see me as a threat' Gordon started to chat with the elf about his sword style while Vice walked trapped in thought

'And they probably have a way to deal with the slimes' he could now see a something hazy from a far

'All I have to do now is find a way to help the goblin and ogre deal with the slimes without violating my contract' he stopped walking 'I'll find another way to gage Nate's strength'

He turned to the elf "where's the northern gate?"

'It is on the opposite of the city from us" the elf walked past him "and I doubt that information will help us with anything since you decided to let their scout live"

Vice kept on walking with Gordon behind him 'if had killed the scout that would interfere with thier plan to kill the slimes' a smirk appeared on his face as he looked at the elfs back

'The best thing I can do now is not interfere with you conflict while reaping some benefits' two portals appeared and he turned to Gordon

"Head inside and tell everyone to get ready" Gordon just nodded at his words and walked off into the portal

He turned to the slime "you should head inside to report to your queen, I'll tell you when it time to attack"

The elf stood there staring at him then walked to the portal.

Vice looked at the sun that seemed a few hours away from setting, he turned to the dungeon system and Theo's name was still there

He looked to city that was barely visible then his figure vanished, blurring through out the desert as the distance between him and the city lessened

While vanishing and reappearing he smirked seeing three pipes heading to the city.

He reappear next to the pipes, he could hear the sound of water moving from inside

He turned to his shadow as a dagger appeared in his hand, the dagger seem to be a long sword in the shadow then

He sliced the air[Shadow fighter]

"Splash"

The water sprayed out of the pipes but the cut was too clean to separate the pipes

"Tsk"

He clicked his tongue as he moved back from the water spraying out, he looked at his shadow and swang into the air

"Splash"

Another clean cut through the pipes but this time the parts of pipes that had been cut were slipping to the sand

"Puff"

Pipe sections fell to the wet sand, Hd looked at the sun that seemed to be now touching the ground

He walked away from the water and sat down 'they won't come out since they know we are already here they'll assume this is a trap'

Two portals appeared next to him while the once clear sky darkened as clouds formed unnaturally over the city

His eyes widen as clouds seemed to swirl above the city

"Drip"

A rain drop fell on his head then the rain poured down on him

Vice ran to one of the portals "fucking S-Rank" he hissed as he jumped into the portal

His figure vanished yet despite this an ogre held a blade covered in raging flames, his eyes narrowed on the portal that no one could see from his distance

"Is everything ready?" he spoke in a calm yet sharp tone

"Yes sir" a goblin in glasses spoke standing next to Lucy, both bowing their heads

"If possible capture that ratman" the flames that covered his blade calmed then vanished

The rain kept poring into the city, the ogre didn't bother to turn as it spoke "tell everyone to collect the water from the rain" they nodded

"Since that slime probably absorbed the blood mage just focus on dealing with the ratman" no one said anything as they remembered how him room turned to flames because the water turned while he was showering
