Reincarnated as an Energy with a System-Chapter 1369 A Chest
Chapter 1369 A Chest
"Are you truly leaving already?" Kinara asked Ning 3 days after her coronation.
Ning had been staying in the palace for those three days, taking care of the little things he had to do before he would forever be gone from this world.
"I have no reason to remain here. I only came to kill that Godking of yours," he said and looked at her. "You truly don't care that I killed him, do you?"
She gave a small smile. "I don't know," she said. "I think I hated him, but I think in some ways, I liked him too. I'm not crestfallen at his demise, but… it feels like I've lost something too. It's hard to explain."
"You don't have to," Ning said. "Just don't let those feelings get to you and be a good Queen. Any idea on who you are going to make the King?"
Kinara gave a small grin. "I think I will establish my influence a little more before I choose a husband. Who knows, I might go the Godking's route and get many as well." She laughed a bit before quickly shaking her head. "No, I can't do that. I can't let others feel what I felt. I think I'll just wait until I find someone I fancy."
"Sure," Ning said. "Since you wish to establish your rule quickly, I will leave you with this."
Ning brought out a grand chest with a golden frame and bright red wooden sides. The design of the chest itself was quite simple, and would not look out of place in a King's chambers.
"I'll give this to you," he said.
The woman gave a confused look before moving close toward the chest. Upon closer look, she saw that the chest had intricate designs on it that she couldn't make sense of.
She opened the chest and looked inside, only to find a bunch of clothes. She took out one of the clothes, a beautiful blue dress that somehow both concealed one's body and yet showed enough to make a person look alluring.
"These are beautiful!" Kinara said. "Did you have these made for me?"
She placed the dress against her body to check how it would look on her.
Ning chuckled a little. "Yes, they are for you, but that is not what I'm giving you," he said.
Kinara looked back up with more confusion now. "What else is there then?" she asked, pulling out more clothes. There were 4 different colored dresses, all of which were as amazing as they could be.
Kinara looked at all those dresses, and in the end, found a slip of paper fall from one of them. It fell onto the empty chest and she pulled it out.
She saw some words written on it and quickly gave it a read. At first, she was curious about the content. But as time went on, her curiosity went on to become confusion to realization to an absolute look of amazement.
"This… how can this be?" she asked. Without even meaning to, she dropped the clothes and quickly dropped to look at the chest before her.
The chest that she had initially ignored was in fact the main gift that she had been given.
Written in the chest in weird symbols that she did not recognize was apparently a method for her to turn the power of the sun into physical strength. It was a set of exercises that would allow her to absorb the Color in the sun's rays to make her physically stronger, and that was without in any way causing any problem for her Melability at all.
The queen was very much shocked at the gift. The slip of paper in her hand was the decryption code she needed to read it properly.
"Is this… really possible?" she asked.
"It is," Ning said. "I specifically made sure it was."
He had asked the system for ways to use Color than just how it was being used, and this had been one of the system's suggestions.
Ning had a special connection with people using the power of the sun to improve their physical bodies, so he decided to use this as a gift.
"I put the message in the body of the chest, so nobody but you should know anything about what it means," Ning said. "Make good use of it and you should be able to make a good rule."
"With a better body, you will live for much longer as well. I can't imagine how long you will live, but it will at least improve your lifespan by twice. Use it well."
Kinara continued looking at the chest with wide eyes and looked back at Ning after a while with teary eyes. "Thank you," she said as the tears rolled down the side of her face. "Thank you."
She could only speak those two words over and over.
Ning patted her on the head. "Be a good queen, Kinara," he said. "I will be leaving now."
Kinara looked up. "Now?" she asked. "You will be leaving right now?"
"Yes," Ning said. "I have no reason to stay here anymore. It's time I resume my journey again."
"Where… will you be going?" Kinara asked. She never knew where these people came from or went to. The only thing she knew was that it was not this world.
"Satisfy yourself with the knowledge you have right now," Ning said. "Don't try to look for answers to questions that are out of your league. You may not like what you find in the end."
The knowledge of the vastness of the universe always only made one feel small in the end, nothing more. It showed the truth of the meaninglessness of one's life and that was a curse that Ning didn't want to put on this poor woman who had finally found some happiness and freedom. fr eeweb novel
"Goodbye, Kinara."
The woman stood up and bowed deeply. "Goodbye, your Majesty."
Ning disappeared from right in front of her, never to be seen in the palace or in Candar, ever again.
