Reincarnated as the Elder's son: My Infinite Shop Points System-Chapter 19: A thought to be abandoned?
Chapter 19 - A thought to be abandoned?
Kiara Dawson.
A talented young woman who grew up in the village of Sikone.
From a very young age, she had shown her talent as a four-star Hunter.
Just like Lucy, Kiara was also popular in the village, having been the only one who was able to hunt thanks to her unique skill, Fox Hunt, a skill that lets her completely hide her presence when in the range of her target.
And while she was happy to be one of the most important people in the village, it all faded when she found out she was going to be getting engaged to the chief's son.
Jared Hunter.
At the time, she thought of it as her duty to the village, so she never really gave it much thought other than that.
But the more she interacted with him, the more she regretted her actions.
For a boy who had a strong father that everyone in the village respected, he was surprisingly slow and quite weak. A crybaby, the way he spoke would make any woman lose interest in him.
She found it weird that even she, who had no presence, was far more useful to the village than he was.
It was laughable.
Almost sad, actually.
That was why it broke her even more when the chief of the village died and Jared was nowhere to be found.
Did he seriously run away?
She couldn't understand how the son of such a strong man could be such an idiot.
So much so that when she was getting carried away by the man from Ragoon village, she knew no one would save her, especially that weak man, Jared.
For all she knew, he could be halfway to the capital, trying to escape his responsibility.
Kiara truly hated him, down to the very core.
Which was why she was more shocked than anything when she heard these very words fall out of the mouth of Olsen.
"Color me impressed, I heard the damn son of the chief had returned to the village."
She could not believe her ears.
Ever since she had been locked inside this room, she had never had the opportunity to ever come outside.
Olsen made sure of that.
She would sit near the broken bed and stare at the window, a part of her wishing that maybe somehow, people from the village would come rescue her.
But to hear that Jared returned to the village? That was something she really never expected to hear.
Now sitting on the ground, with her hands chained to the window, she calmly allowed Olsen to settle on the chair beside her, his legs crossed.
At the entrance of the room was a man holding a long spear.

"Oh? Are you not happy? You look so dead even after I shared such happy news." Olsen laughed a bit.
Well, of course she looked dead; there was no denying that.
Having been a prisoner for almost a month, her clothes had gotten dirty, and her entire body had leaned up. One could count her ribs just by looking at her.
Still...
"H...ow...do you know?"
She could still somehow ask a question loud enough for Olsen to hear.
Grinning at the fact she could finally speak, Olsen replied,
"My men found the people of the village building some kind of fence. Haha, idiots probably think that would be enough to keep me out or something. They told me the man who led them was Jared. If I recall, that is the name of the former chief's son, right?"
Building a fence? What for? Is that what Jared is doing after his return?
Those thoughts kept echoing in her mind as she sat there and listened to the nonsense spewing out of Olsen's mouth.
"Such fools, I tell ya, the only reason I haven't demolished the place yet is because I am busy taking another village into my hand. And as it would seem, I have successfully done that. Which means I can now focus on them."
Frowning, Kiara uttered, her voice filled with malice,
"You promised not to do anything to them, as long as I came along to be your slave. Are you having a change of heart?"
The question came as a surprise to Olsen.
Since Kiara had been his prisoner, she never once tried to initiate any kind of conversation, not after the first day.
"Oh wow, you're getting bold." Olsen moved nearer, his hand grabbing her cheeks. "Are you questioning me? You must have lost it, haven't you? The only reason I haven't fucked you yet is because you are way too pretty. I want you to open up to me by yourself. You are not a slave."
He wasn't totally wrong.
Kiara was very beautiful, to the point that most people found it hard to even believe she was a northerner. She looked more like a princess than anything.
With long white hair and glaring red eyes, not many people could resist her appeal.
It was simply almost impossible to push her away if she ever chose to seduce you.
Well, not like she would ever do that to someone she didn't like.
Giving Olsen a disapproving gaze, she said,
"There is no way I would let you do that to begin with. If you say I'm not a slave, then let me go already."
"Aww, someone is feeling a bit too greedy today. Absolutely not." Olsen gently slapped her on the cheeks. "I'll be visiting the village this evening, just to give them a little scare. Don't worry, I'll come back to tell you how it went."
Kiara could only glare at him; she knew damn well nothing she said would change the mind of such a man.
So instead, she chose to watch him walk away and exit the room, leaving her back in the darkness.
'Dammit. Are they seriously building a fence?' she whispered to herself, unable to understand why they'd be doing something so stupid instead of trying to rescue her.
'Jared...is this your doing?'
