Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?-Chapter 1961: Time To Conquer The Dungeons
-----
"Anyway, these are the teams I’ve decided on after careful thought and investigation," I said.
The teams were:
Zephyrus and Celica.
Celeste and Ruby.
Lara and Mist.
As for Aquarina and me, we were splitting up to handle things faster.
Lara and Mist would head to the Goo Farm Dungeon.
Celeste and Ruby would take the Blind Fish Dungeon.
Zephyrus and Celica would clear the Swamp Shrimp Dungeon.
Aquarina would tackle the Dark Savanna Dungeon.
"And I’ll head to the Glacial Caves Dungeon, alright?" I added. "The remaining ones—Burning Forest Dungeon, Poison Swamp Dungeon, Stone Cathedral Dungeon, and Insect Nest Dungeon—will be dealt with tomorrow."
"Sure, sounds good to me," Zephyrus nodded. "I’m glad we’re paired together, Celica."
"Heheh, I think your sister did that on purpose," Celica chuckled.
"Nahhhh..." I muttered. "Um, so anyway! Shall we get going?"
Our parents had already left after breakfast, leaving us alone in the house. Master Felicia stayed behind to watch over the mountain, so nothing held us back.
"Alright, let’s go," Aquarina said with a firm nod.
The flight back to the mountain was quick. Once we reached Evercraft, we walked through the city and saw more quarantine zones filled with infected people.
Despite the King’s strict orders forbidding entry into the dungeons, people kept sneaking in, making the situation worse every day.
Dwarves in particular suffered the most. Their stubbornness outweighed even their loyalty to the King, and every day more cursed victims arrived at the quarantine areas.
My mother had placed powerful Magic Circles in each quarantined zone. They instantly detected the sick, bound them with chains to contain the curse’s spread, and sustained their lives with lifeforce.
My mother was incredible. I couldn’t stop thinking how much harder everything would be without her. At the same time, I wanted desperately to become someone just as reliable.
Lately I’ve been thinking a lot—about my future with Aquarina, about the life I truly want, and about everything I’ve done so far.
So many people here depend on me. Through my whole life, surrounded by so many amazing people taking care of me, I had grown a little conceited and passive about my own choices.
Whenever my parents decided something, I simply followed. Now that I’m an adult, aside from attending the academy, they’ve basically told me to do whatever I want.
Literally—my father just said to do... whatever I wanted.
After years of always obeying others, it was finally time to take the reins of my own life.
That includes being a leader. I’ve always avoided it, always wanting to stay on my own for some reason.
But I’ve realized my friends here truly count on me. Part of growing up is accepting responsibility.
I want to become a good leader for our little band of heroes. Even if I dislike the title, I understand what it means, and I know our future will never be ordinary.
We are too strong, too special. An ordinary life simply isn’t possible.
My power alone guarantees I’ll never have a completely normal existence. I’ll fight for the life I want—with my wife, running an apothecary, traveling, relaxing—but it will also include so much more: gods watching from above, true demons trying to invade this world, evil gods sowing chaos across the land, and a demon continent I still need to explore to uncover the full truth.
When the academy starts next year, I’ll meet countless new people from every corner of the world. I’m genuinely excited for that.
I want to forge real connections across nations and help build a better world, a brighter future.
I refuse to sit back and stay passive anymore. This world needs change, and it will only happen if we join hands and give everything we have.
That is my resolve.
"Here we are, everyone," I said, gazing into the caverns. "Deep inside these caverns lie the dungeons we need to clear. Remember, aside from killing the monsters, we also have to purge the miasma and the curse. My Spirit Clones will assist with that, but they’ll still need your Mana, Spirit Energy, and any other energies you can provide."
"Okay, got it," Aquarina said, crossing her arms. "So this is it! Let’s finish this in one day, everyone!"
"Yeah! I’m looking forward to it!" Lara nodded eagerly. "The Spirits are ready to go!"
"I guess cleansing the place will be a piece of cake for us," Mist said with a confident smile. "Good luck to everyone else with their dungeons!"
"It’s going to get intense out there, Celica, so be ready for anything," Zephyrus warned. "I’ll protect you as much as I can, but we still need to stay careful."
"Oh, don’t worry—I don’t really need much protection. I’ve got my friends here," Celica replied, walking beside Zephyrus with her three main golems.
"Alright, this is it. Gotta go then," Celeste said with a nod. "Come on, Ruby. Your Fire should handle the monsters well."
"Ah, I’m a little nervous, but I’ll do everything I can for Dad," Ruby said, nodding determinedly. "Good luck, everyone."
Once the others split off and we continued deeper, Aquarina reached the entrance to the Dark Savanna Dungeon. Like all the others, it was guarded by several dwarves and golems.
"It’s here. Hey, I’m the young hero of water," she announced. "I need to cleanse this place. Would you mind letting me in?"
"Ah! We got reports the young heroes were handling the smaller dungeons, but... only you alone? Are you sure, young lady?" one of the dwarves asked, perched atop his golem.
"Maybe we should help her?" another suggested.
"Nah, she’ll be fine alone," I said calmly. "Don’t worry." I had complete faith in my wife.
"Like she said!" Aquarina added. "Ah, by the way—she’s Sylph, the princess of the Elven Kingdom, so her words carry a lot of weight."
"T-The princess, you say?!" The dwarves gasped, staring at me in shock after Aquarina’s introduction. "W-What? What?! Wait, what?! Huh?! W-What do you mean...! Ah! You must be...?!"
