Reincarnated With a SSS-Rank Hypnosis Skill in Another World-Chapter 15 - Lady Seraphina Calis
Chapter 15 - 15 - Lady Seraphina Calis
For the next few hours, I spent my time stressing over the identity of the tutor who would be coming to see me. Finally, the time came as I was called to the training grounds by Aria, who had just informed me of the tutor's arrival.
I knew there was a slim chance that the tutor would deem me a fraud. However, I could hope that he wouldn't.
I was foolish, but I was a realist.
I knew the odds were clearly against me. But... a man can dream.
Arriving in the gym, the tutor had quite a different appearance from what I had expected. In the back of my mind, I had imagined a bulky man giving off a feeling of danger. However, before me stood a beautiful woman who was well-developed, probably in her mid-twenties.
She wore a tight white dress that ended right below her knees, sticking to her skin and highlighting her beautiful curves. The dress was also quite revealing at the top, with a slit that offered a good view of her breasts.
I just stared at her as she looked around, not yet noticing my presence. Then her head slowly turned in my direction. She didn't smile, nor did she have a strong reaction. She simply stared at me with a slight frown, looking me up and down for the next few minutes, clearly judging me as a whole.
"So, you're the one the Princess chose, huh?" she said, her tone giving off a totally different vibe than I had expected.
She raised an eyebrow and didn't say much else.
She looked like a very pure, noble person, but from the way she spoke, it was clear what she thought of me.
She stared at me as if I were some kind of pathetic loser. Even I could feel it through her heavy gaze.
"I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Lady Seraphina Calis; you might know me under the title of the Crimson Saint."
She looked at me, waiting for a reaction as she uttered her title. But there was absolutely nothing. After all, I knew basically nothing of this world. The Crimson Saint was no different.
A little disappointed in my reaction, she clicked her tongue as her frown deepened.
"You don't even know me? How old are you?"
"Uh... 18? Why?"
"I guess I've become irrelevant with the younger generation. In the past, everyone would have reacted to that name, some out of fear and some out of joy. But... you don't even know me."
Her ego was definitely hurt. But she didn't know that I was simply an anomaly. Plenty of people my age were bound to know her.
Nevertheless, this nice introduction quickly took a turn as she changed the subject from herself to me. She pulled out a small piece of paper and began reading a few facts about me.
"Let me see..." she muttered with a smirk. "Jake Vale. Troublesome. Has four affinities— not bad. Is known to cause trouble. Has great talent but is lazy. Third Mana Circle Mage."
She raised an eyebrow. "Actually, that's not bad. From feeling your strength, I would have never guessed such a thing. I can barely feel any affinities from you apart from Fire."
I shut my mouth, not wanting to tell her that was the only affinity I could use. It would be humiliating, and there was a chance that she might leave right away, saying it would be a waste of her time to train me.
I needed to avoid that above everything else.
"Are you nervous?" she then said, immediately noticing something strange about my behavior.
"Uh... no? Why?"
She frowned for a few more seconds in silence. "Let's spar. I want to see that talent of yours."
As she said that, a screen with her information appeared before me.

My eyes widened as I looked at her Stage. She was an Eight Mana Circle Mage. Elena had told me that there were only a handful of Nine Mana Circle Mages, which meant she was only slightly weaker than the strongest mage on the entire continent.
A person like this would be training me, and more importantly, she had two of my affinities, which meant I would finally be able to use the skill I had received.
[Arcane Assimilation]
I just had to see her cast her spells, and I would be able to understand. At least, that's what the description of the skill said. I could only hope that it was the truth.
"Are you ready?" she asked a few meters away from me, and I could already see her playing with her Mana in her right hand. "I will be the one attacking you first. I want to see how you fare against the most basic skills. Don't worry; I will adjust my strength to that of a Third Mana Circle Mage."
I nodded, making sure to keep my eyes wide open as she cast a Fireball in her right hand in the blink of an eye.
The speed at which she created it was ten times faster than mine. It was mind-blowing.
Then, a small message appeared before my eyes.
[You have gained comprehension in Speed Casting.]
I had a strong feeling that the longer I spent time with her, the stronger I would become. I just had to make sure it would be enough for the tournament.
