Reincarnation Of The Strongest Spirit Master-Chapter 1531: Planning For the Future
"The funny thing is," William thought with a wry smile, "even if I did all this and hoped for recruiting a big force from the upper realm to my side, I never truly planned for that to happen before I even ascended to the upper realm. I need to take a little more time in seclusion here, planning my moves for the upper realm from this moment forward."
He decided not to leave the core immediately. He needed the silence and seclusion. He had general ideas about what he wanted to accomplish with such a strong powerhouse on his side, but those plans had always been designed for a later date, for when he would eventually ascend and begin to make a name for himself. Now, he had to accelerate those plans to match his current momentum.
Having such a big force at his disposal this early on could be a double-edged weapon, and William knew that perfectly. Power of that magnitude, if not properly directed, had a tendency to turn on its wielder or crush the very thing it was meant to protect.
So, sitting in the silence of the world’s core, he started to go through everything he had ever learned: his past experiences from a life already lived, the teachings of his master, and every scrap of lost knowledge he had scavenged from ancient records. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Step by step, he began putting the finishing touches on a grand, masterpiece plan that would integrate these disparate forces into a singular, world-shaking momentum.
William kept himself locked inside the core for several days, his physical body a mere shell on the surface while his mind navigated the sea of possibilities. Out on the surface, things looked much calmer for everyone else. The immediate terror of the monster tide had evaporated, replaced by the hum of a cleanup operation.
The Blue Purgators leader, ever the diligent commander, had spread his forces across the Medium World to scout for any remnant monsters or hidden Fox clones. When they found the world to be effectively purged, he made a strategic decision.
He split his legion into two: one part remained with him to maintain a garrison around the floating castle, while the larger portion was dispatched to the smaller realms. They joined the various Fox Guild factions, offering their strength to accelerate the stabilisation of the lower worlds.
Once the faction leaders agreed on the streamlined plan, their efficiency skyrocketed. They no longer moved with the cautious hesitation of explorers; they moved with the confidence of conquerors.
They covered a massive batch of worlds in the first few days, rarely taking more than seventy-two hours to secure a realm before moving to the next. The addition of the Blue Purgators acted as a force multiplier, allowing them to expand their reach and cover far more ground than William had originally anticipated.
By the passage of one week, the combined forces had managed to stabilise and categorise one-fifth of all the worlds attached to the Medium World.
At each location, they followed a strict protocol: identify survivors, establish a Fox Guild administrative post, leave a small but capable group of masters to lead, and then move on to the next gate. It was a colonial expansion of unprecedented scale, conducted at breakneck speed.
As the guild was immersed in this monumental task, William finally emerged from his trance. His consciousness snapped back into his physical body, and he slowly stood up.
His joints popped, and his muscles felt stiff, but it was his expression that drew attention; he looked more troubled than relieved, his brow furrowed with the weight of the plans he had just finalised.
"Finally, you are awake."
Just as William returned his focus to the surface world, he found the Purgators’ leader waiting for him. The man wasn’t accidentally walking by; he was sitting comfortably inside a tent pitched just a few yards from William’s spot. He had clearly been waiting with a predatory sort of patience, eager to talk the moment the youth opened his eyes.
"Anything new happened?!" The first thought that popped into William’s mind was the possibility of a variable he hadn’t accounted for. A new enemy? A rift in the gates? Why else would the leader of such a mighty, upper-realm force stay pinned to this spot, waiting on him like a subordinate?
"Wanted to know what happened with the Fox," the leader said, raising an eyebrow. A faint, knowing smirk played on his lips. "Isn’t it enough for me to wait here for you to ensure our saviour hasn’t burned his spirit power out and won the clash against the Fox?"
"Well, it’s as expected," William replied, shaking off the short-lived worries he had. He could feel the leader wasn’t telling him everything; there was a hidden agenda behind that casual wait, but he was relieved to hear that no new disasters had manifested while he was away. "The Fox is gone. This world is now mine. Totally and absolutely."
"Great news," the leader laughed, the sound booming in the quiet valley. "For me, this was always a personal vendetta. That Fox killed my family, destroyed my lineage’s pride. It was a debt that would only be paid in blood. How about you, William?"
Just from this random and simple-looking comment, William could tell exactly what the leader was fishing for. The man was a veteran of a thousand court intrigues and battlefields; he wanted to peel back the layers of William’s identity. He wanted to know why a boy from a lower realm held such a deep, ancient-feeling grudge against a colossal entity like the Fox.
"He also killed my family," William plainly said, pausing for a moment as the faces of those he had lost in his previous life flashed before his eyes. He chose his words carefully, keeping the truth of his reincarnation buried deep. "All of them, actually. When you lose everything to a monster, it’s only normal to want to kill that monster, right?"
"Hahaha, sure, sure. Who am I to say otherwise?" the leader laughed, though his eyes remained sharp, searching William’s face for a slip. He stood up and motioned for William to follow him inside the tent.
