Chapter 57: Work can wait

We both gasped at the connection, her tightness enveloping me in warmth that made my head spin. She paused for a moment, adjusting, her hands braced on my shoulders as she looked at me with that mix of tenderness and fire. Then she began to move, rising and falling in a steady rhythm, her pussy clenching around my cock with each descent.

I thrust up to meet her, my hands supporting her hips, guiding her as our bodies found a shared pace. The room filled with the sounds of our joining—the wet slide of skin on skin, her quiet moans mingling with my deeper groans. She leaned forward, her breasts pressing against my chest, and I captured one nipple in my mouth, sucking gently as she rode me harder, her movements growing more desperate.

’Yes... just like that,’ she whispered, her fingers digging into my back, urging me deeper. I obliged, angling my hips to hit that spot inside her that made her cry out, her walls fluttering around me.

The pleasure built swiftly, coiling tight in my core as she ground down, taking me fully each time. Her kisses turned frantic, trailing from my lips to my neck, her teeth grazing my skin in affectionate nips. I could feel her nearing the edge again, her breaths hitching, her body trembling atop mine.

’Come with me,’ I murmured, one hand slipping between us to circle her clit with my thumb, the added touch sending her over.

She shattered first, her pussy pulsing around my cock in rhythmic waves, her moan muffled against my shoulder as she clung to me. The sensation pulled me under too, and I thrust up one final time, spilling inside her with a low groan, the release crashing through me like a wave.

We stayed like that, locked together, her forehead resting against mine as we caught our breath. She smiled lazily, tracing my jaw with her fingertips. ’See? Work can wait.’

I chuckled softly, holding her close, knowing she was right. In that moment, nothing else mattered.

Fiona POV

I woke up because something was warm and heavy across my back. For a second, I thought it was a blanket. Then I moved my arm and hit muscle.

Nathan?

My cheek was pressed to his chest, my leg thrown over his, my hand resting somewhere I definitely did not remember putting it. His arm was around me, loose but there, like it had never left.

I didn’t move again. I just stayed like that, listening to his breathing. Slow and even, he was still asleep.

He looked... normal like this. No serious face, just a man sleeping.

I told myself I needed to remember it. This moment was priceless. My eyes drifted around and I noticed my phone plugged in by the bed.

I stared at it for a moment. He charged it!

That tiny thing made me realise how much of a ’keeper’ He was.

He looked different when he was asleep. I carefully reached for my phone and turned on the camera, taking it closer to his face. It made a click sound. It wasn’t suppose to do that!

Nathan shifted beneath me. His chest rose deeper this time. His arm tightened slightly around my waist. Then his eyes opened.

He looked at me for a second, still groggy, like he was figuring out if I was real. Then he smiled.

"Are you always this sneaky in the morning?" he said, his voice still rough with sleep.

I groaned and buried my face back into him. "It was an accident."

"Are you always this cute when you wake up?" he teased again but I didn’t respond.

"Were you taking a picture?"

"You were sleeping. It doesn’t count."

He laughed quietly, the sound vibrating under my cheek. "You’re terrible."

"You charged my phone."

"You noticed," he said.

"Of course I noticed. Thank you"

He looked at me like he was debating something, then reached up and brushed his thumb across my cheek. Slow. Careful.

"You should sleep more," he said.

"I just woke up," I replied.

"Exactly."

I laughed quietly. "You’re impossible."

He leaned down and kissed my forehead.

I stayed there a few seconds longer than I should have. Then reality came crashing in all at once. I had exams!!

"I have to get ready," I muttered.

"So do I," he replied, but neither of us moved.

Eventually, he did. Carefully....like he didn’t want to wake me again even though I was clearly awake.

"You can use your bathroom, I’ll use mine. I will still have to pick my dress" he nodded and disappeared into the bathroom and I left for my room.

By the time we went downstairs, Leo was already dressed in his school uniform, sitting at the table and swinging his legs.

The second he saw us, his face lit up.

"Dad!"

"Fiona!"

He grinned so wide it made me smile. "I had so much fun yesterday" He announced proudly. Nathan paused, just for half a second then smiled. "You did?"

"Yes! You carried me on your shoulders."

Natasha looked up sharply. "Carried you where?"

Leo didn’t even notice her tone. "Outside. And we walked a lot."

"That was a hospital," she said flatly. "Nothing fun about that."

Leo shrugged. "I liked it."

She narrowed her eyes. "Eat your food."

Leo obeyed immediately, but his smile didn’t fade. He just kept glancing at Nathan like he was replaying the memory in his head.

Nathan sat down beside him and adjusted his tie without thinking about it. Just fixed it.

Leo beamed with smile, Nathan didn’t really know how big that small gesture was"

Anne smiled gently. "I’m glad you enjoyed yourself, Leo."

He nodded enthusiastically. "Can we go again?"

Nathan didn’t answer right away. He just poured some coffee into his cup. "We’ll see," he said finally.

Leo nodded, satisfied. I took my seat, trying not to look too comfortable. Trying not to look too happy.

Natasha’s eyes flicked between Nathan and Leo, then to me. "You should hurry. School doesn’t wait."

"I know," I said.

Breakfast passed quietly after that, we all moved at the same time. Leo grabbed his bag. Nathan checked his watch and I reached for my bag.
