Remarriage Failed Again Today-Chapter 166: What an Affectionate Confession, Too Bad I’m About to Puke
But his grandfather had insisted on forcing him to marry her!
He knew Annabelle Linton was pressuring his grandfather. So, to spare his grandfather the trouble... fine, he would marry her.
But even after he married her, Annabelle Linton wouldn’t let up!
Jealousy, irrational tantrums, scheming to hurt Vivian Yates!
He was truly at a loss for words. He tried to divorce her time and time again, but because of her deceptively innocent act, his grandfather would just scold him and reject his requests every single time.
He felt there was nothing more miserable than being married to Annabelle Linton.
But fate had decided to play another joke on him.
He wasn’t sure when it started. Perhaps it was after Ashley Grant mentioned all that Annabelle Linton had done for him. That was when he slowly began to realize...
’It seems... I might have misunderstood Annabelle Linton...’
And from that moment on, he found that she always stirred some kind of new feeling in him...
It was new. Intriguing. It made him want to dig deeper. The feeling was hazy, wonderful, heart-pounding... and it awakened his possessiveness.
Without any warning, it was as if something had wandered into his world, invading his heart little by little, capturing his attention and his gaze...
’Conquer her. Possess her!’ a voice in his heart commanded.
Looking closely at this woman, Leona Grant felt another wave of confusion.
’What was it about her that I hated so much?’
"Have you had your fill of staring?" Annabelle Linton said coldly, yanking her hand away.
’I love her indifference, her cold arrogance.’ At that moment, his anger and impulsiveness surprisingly vanished into thin air.
Leona Grant watched her with his deep-set eyes, his voice dropping to a low growl as a seductive smile curved his lips.
He raised a hand to stroke the hair at the side of her face, his voice softening. "I can never get enough of looking at you. What am I going to do? I’m finding myself more and more drawn to your stubbornness and your fiery spirit."
Annabelle Linton shot him a cold glance, scoffed as if she were looking at an idiot, and slapped his hand away. "You really can’t go a single day without acting like a lunatic, can you? Please, spare me that knock-off Mona Lisa smile. My stomach isn’t as strong as you think. Got it?"
The smile slowly faded from Leona Grant’s face.
Annabelle Linton scoffed and pressed her advantage. "Such a heartfelt confession. It’s a shame it’s making me want to puke! Who gave you the courage to smile at me like that? Taylor Swift?"
"Annabelle Linton, you’re the first person to insult me like that and live to tell the tale!"
Annabelle Linton stared at him, her eyes remaining perfectly calm. "Oh, is that so? Then why don’t you just kill me? Uphold your sacred rule that anyone who defies you must die, you bastard."
Annabelle Linton’s detached sarcasm reminded Leona Grant of the gentle kindness she showed Aaron Wyatt.
Fury surged through him once more, impossible to suppress!
"Annabelle Linton, you’re testing me!"
Annabelle Linton was completely unfazed. "And what if I am?"
Leona Grant stared at her impassive face for a few seconds before suddenly breaking into a smile. "Fine. You’ve got guts. Now, why don’t you tell me where you’ve been messing around for the past few days?" 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Without a second glance, Annabelle Linton turned and walked away.
His fury flared up again. Leona Grant aggressively blocked Annabelle Linton’s path, his voice escalating to a furious roar.
"Annabelle Linton, don’t try to be coy with me!
What’s so great about that man you’re seeing? Fifteen days! You haven’t been home once in fifteen days! Remember who you are. You are my woman—Leona Grant’s woman! I forbid it. I absolutely forbid you from getting involved with another man. Do you understand?!"
