Remarriage Failed Again Today-Chapter 67: Why Do You Always Have to Find Ways to Frame Her?
Half of Annabelle Linton’s face was completely stained red with blood, and she was bleeding from multiple places. She looked horrifying, like the victim of a car crash—a truly frightening sight.
The usually stoic Ashley Grant burst into tears, screaming, "Annabelle, Annabelle! What happened to you? Open your eyes and look at me! It’s me, Ashley! Annabelle, say something!"
The loud crash drew everyone in the villa out. When Roxanne Jennings saw Annabelle Linton lying in a pool of blood, she gasped and covered her mouth in horror.
"Leona, Annabelle fell! She fell! Someone, call for a car! Hurry, call for a car!" Roxanne Jennings yelled.
Roxanne Jennings’s shouts snapped everyone else out of their shock, and they began to scramble into action.
Some of the younger maids were frightened to tears. "Young Madam, please be okay..."
The entire villa echoed with sounds of weeping and panic.
Leona Grant stared in disbelief at Annabelle Linton, who lay on the ground, bleeding nonstop. He froze for a second, then bounded down the stairs and lifted her upper body, his expression filled with worry. "Annabelle Linton, are you all right?"
Annabelle Linton lay limp in his arms, her own arms dangling lifelessly. She had already passed out.
A large patch of dark red blood soaked his expensive shirt. Leona Grant’s expression darkened as he swept Annabelle Linton into his arms and charged out of the villa.
Vivian Yates’s face was pale as she watched Annabelle Linton being carried away.
She had wanted to frame Annabelle Linton and turn everyone against her, but in the blink of an eye, the exact opposite had happened.
Annabelle Linton had become the object of everyone’s concern, while she herself had become the target of their animosity.
Vivian Yates felt she couldn’t just wait for her doom. She ran down the stairs to follow them to the hospital, hoping to salvage the situation somehow.
As soon as she reached the bottom of the stairs, Ashley Grant blocked her path. Ashley stared at her coldly, her gaze sweeping over the red, swollen blisters on her body. She didn’t even have to think; she instantly understood the whole story.
She raised her hand and viciously slapped Vivian Yates across the face, her voice cold. "You bitch! What in the world did Annabelle ever do to you? Why do you always have to go after her?
"Ever since she married my brother, you’ve been constantly scheming to frame her, turning my brother against her time and time again. How is it that whenever she’s with you, you’re the one who gets hurt, and my brother is the one who hurts her?"
Being slapped by a girl six or seven years her junior, Vivian Yates felt wronged, but more than anything, she felt humiliated.
Clutching her face, she retorted, "I didn’t..."
"You didn’t?!" Ashley Grant slapped her across the face again. She knew all about the injustices Annabelle Linton had suffered over the years, but her sister-in-law had forbidden her from saying anything, so she could only play dumb.
But today, she couldn’t hold back any longer!
She’d had autism as a child. Her parents were always busy and couldn’t look after her, and no one wanted to be her friend. It was Annabelle Linton who had taken her to see all kinds of doctors, who had cured her and led her out of the darkness.
When she refused to eat the nanny’s cooking, Annabelle Linton would cook for her personally.
When she was sick, it was Annabelle Linton who stayed up all night to look after her.
When she missed her parents, Annabelle Linton would take her to see them.
Annabelle Linton was even the one who celebrated her birthday with her every single year.
When she was bored, Annabelle Linton would personally teach her how to draw and play the piano, and accompany her on trips to any city she wanted to visit.
This woman, only six years her senior, had casually given her so much beauty and warmth, had given her a brilliant childhood and priceless memories. She was her sister-in-law, but in her heart, she was more than that. She was a mother and a sister to her. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
But today, she had to stand by and watch helplessly as Annabelle was tormented to this extent!
