What she’d just said was only a fraction of the injustices Annabelle Linton had endured. Thinking about all the wrongs Annabelle had suffered over the years, her heart ached so much it felt like it would shatter.

Leona Grant shot to his feet. "I’m RX-negative," he said instinctively.

"Good, come with me!" The doctor was a middle-aged woman who’d worked at the hospital for over twenty years. This was the first time she had ever seen such a rare blood type, and she asked with some disbelief, "I saw that you listed yourself as her husband on the forms. Do you two really have the same blood type?"
