Chapter 1507: Chapter 1492: Swift Action

With a powerful crash, the person was sent flying sideways.

Bang.

The whole person crashed into the window.

The window that supposedly could block bullets shattered, and that person flew right out.

Poor guy, still in a drug-induced high, had no idea he had flown out of the window, plummeting from dozens of floors up.

Bam.

Impact.

Dead.

The explosive sound of the breaking window shocked those who weren’t high. Just as they were about to scream, the man who had sent the person flying calmly pulled out a handgun and said to the crowd, "Alright, nobody move, stay where you are."

Everyone froze, unable to comprehend how this man had so easily bypassed the tight security outside and reached them, or why he had thrown a colleague out the window.

They were all bewildered.

"Nobody move, and don’t think about reaching for anything."

The man with the gun said, "I just want you all to stand still, and don’t think about calling for help, or I won’t mind taking you down with me."

"Who are you? Don’t you know this is President Lin’s territory?"

A man who looked like a leader shouted.

"Lin Rong, huh." The man with the gun chuckled, "I’m not familiar with him, but my boss knows him."

"Your boss, who is your boss? Maybe we know them," the leader said.

"You won’t know him, you’re not qualified to,"

The man with the gun sneered.

"Leave now, and we’ll give you money, as much as you want," the leader said gravely, "otherwise, neither of us will get out of this well."

"Haha, no worries." The man with the gun said, "I don’t need the money, just came to check on you, wait a bit more."

As he finished speaking.

Bam.

A gunshot sounded outside the room.

The leader’s face stiffened.

"Police, hands up."

Shouts came from outside, followed by another burst of gunfire, then loud banging against the door.

The man with the gun chuckled, stepped backward a few times, and said, "Sorry everyone, I must be going."

Finished, he jumped backward, out through the shattered window.

Bam.

A paraglider opened, and he flew like a bird toward the rooftop of a lower building opposite, landing safely with a thud.

Sss.

He cut all the cords and harnesses quickly, sprinting toward the stairway nearby, and vanished from everyone’s sight in an instant.

Bam.

A loud bang.

The door burst open as a group of armed police stormed in.

The leader barely had time to react.

Seeing the police, the leader’s first thought was, it’s over.

The police quickly took control of everyone there, and shortly afterward, the media entered with cameras.

"We’ve received a report that there are illegal substances hidden here..."

The police shouted as they began to search everywhere, quickly finding some remains...

Meanwhile, outside another bar, a few police cars had already parked, along with television crews.

"This is an SH police department routine inspection. We’ll follow the camera to show the most authentic scenes. This is a bar, often a hotbed for drug transactions. Follow my lens to witness these darkest deeds,"

A reporter said, holding a microphone.

Then, a horde of police officers piled out of the cars, faces stern, and filed into the bar under a captain’s lead.

Inside the bar at that time.

The music was blaring.

Lin Haichao and others were dancing joyfully.

Just then.

Bang.

The music cut off abruptly.

"What the hell is happening?" Lin Haichao cursed at the DJ booth.

Just then, the lights in the entire bar suddenly blazed on.

Many people’s first instinct was to cover their eyes, as they were not accustomed to the sudden brightness since the lights were dim before.

"Routine inspection,"

Someone shouted, and many who had been dancing sat back down.

A large group of police appeared inside the bar.

"Cops,"

Georgia exclaimed.

"No worries,"

Lin Haichao, still high, said sleepily, "What can the cops do? Dare they bust me? Hmph, whoever busts me, won’t be on the job tomorrow."

The cops who had entered quickly spread out to begin inspections, but a captain-like figure headed straight for Song Yun.

"ID card."

The captain said to Song Yun.

Song Yun smiled and handed over his ID.

The captain took a look, nodded, returned the ID to Song Yun, then looked at Lin Haichao and said, "ID card."

"I’m Lin Haichao."

Because of the alcohol and the thrill from the dancing, Lin Haichao was in a state of fearlessness and didn’t even look at the seemingly low-level officer.

"Lin Haichao, I’m still Lin Rong, then. Show your ID, looks like you’ve been using that stuff tonight, eh?" The captain asked casually.

"So what if I have? Is it your business to know what I use?" Lin Haichao said arrogantly.

"Oh, so you really have used it."

The captain raised an eyebrow and signaled with his hand. The reporter and presenter doing a live broadcast rushed over with a camera pointed directly at Lin Haichao.

"What the hell, who dares to film me? Anyone who films me will die, got it? I’m Lin Haichao, and my father is Lin Rong. So what if I mess around? Can you control me? I have money."

Seeing the camera, Lin Haichao flew into a rage and yelled, "Try filming again, and you’ll all lose your jobs."

"Search."

The captain’s order was brief. Several officers rushed up, grabbed Lin Haichao, one on each side.

Struggling and yelling, Lin Haichao said, "I’ve got your badge numbers, this won’t end here with you. And you, who dares broadcast this show, I’ll make sure you can’t air it."

"We’re live broadcasting."

The female reporter said calmly.

This sentence instantly subdued Lin Haichao.

"Don’t search, I was joking. Hey, my dad is really Lin Rong, seriously, call him, I was joking with you,"

Lin Haichao quickly said.

This live broadcast is entirely different from recorded ones. If it were recorded, Lin Haichao could easily find ways to keep it from airing, but a live broadcast shows whatever is captured directly on television. Even though Lin Haichao was arrogant and powerful, he couldn’t stop a live broadcast. If everything aired, it would be too late to fix anything afterward.

However, these people were all acting under White Tiger’s instructions, so they certainly wouldn’t let Lin Haichao off the hook.
