Return of the King, Dominating the City-Chapter 1599 - 1493: Unreasonable Troublemaking
Soon, the plane reached its destination, and both Song Yun and the other party were taken to the nearby police station.
"What exactly happened?" An older officer with graying hair asked sternly.
"Well, this gentleman insulted me, or rather, insulted our country. He said we are an uncivilized race. I got very angry and argued a bit. Unexpectedly, he got furious and tried to hit me, relying on the fact that he is a foreigner."
"No, that’s not what happened. He’s lying. He hit my husband, look at my husband’s head, it has a wound," the woman screamed, pointing at Song Yun.
A young policeman came over to examine the Korean man’s head and said to the older officer, "It was injured by a heavy object."
The older policeman looked displeasedly at Song Yun and said, "What exactly happened? If you keep lying, you’re the one who will suffer."
Song Yun smiled, touched his nose, and defended himself, "I did hit him, but the truth is, he insulted me, then I insulted him back, he tried to hit me but missed, and I retaliated. It was self-defense."
"No, my husband didn’t hit anyone. He was the one who hit people," the woman retorted, pointing at Song Yun.
"Miss, why would I hit you for no reason?" Song Yun said sarcastically.
"I just said this woman’s face is disgusting, and then you got angry and hit people. I’m telling you, if you don’t handle this matter well, I won’t let it go. We will complain about this to the embassy in China. Koreans came to China and were harmed; this is an international incident," the woman threatened Song Yun and the policemen in the room, thinking a Korean resident ID would make her superior to her compatriots.
"Miss, are you threatening me?" the older policeman asked unhappily.
"I am not threatening. I’m stating facts. If you don’t punish the perpetrator and compensate us for our losses, I will certainly take action. My husband is a manager in a major corporation in Korea; he won’t let this go," the woman arrogantly said.
Song Yun glanced skeptically at the woman’s figure. It’s not that big, is it? Strange, how is her intelligence so low? Something must be wrong there.
"Miss, if the decision is that it is our police’s fault and you are the victims, we will naturally give you justice. But if you’re trying to use your identity to pressure people, sorry, I’d advise you to take that back," the older policeman said icily, showing some anger.
"Hey, how are you talking? What’s your name? It looks like you don’t want to work anymore. My uncle is a high-level official in the city. We’re here just to visit him and plan to invest here. I’m telling you, offend me, and you’ll be left out in the cold,"
"I’ll make sure everyone remembers what you said word for word. Koreans coming to China to threaten law enforcement officers, that really is an international incident," the older policeman said disdainfully, looking at this brainless woman. What a waste of good looks.
"You!!! I’m going to call," the woman angrily opened her LV bag and pulled out a Samsung phone, dialing a number in front of everyone.
"Hello, uncle, it’s Jin Puzhen, yes, Lanlan. Hurry up and come, we’re being detained at the airport. Junxi was beaten on the plane, yes, the man is still here, he’s been detained too, you need to hurry, the boss here is always biased towards your country’s people."
The woman hung up the phone and arrogantly glanced at Song Yun and the older policeman, then whispered to comfort the man, who was angry but couldn’t express himself due to the language barrier. The older policeman smiled and asked Song Yun, "Do you have any evidence of them insulting or hitting first?"
"I do." Song Yun smiled and pulled out his phone, starting the recording, which featured a man and a woman’s conversation in Korean. After deciding in his heart to hit them, Song Yun had prepared for what followed. So, while they were passionately attacking Xiao Qing’s face, himself, and the entire country, he quietly took out his phone and pressed the record button.
"What does this mean?" The older policeman listened for a while and asked confusedly. He didn’t understand Korean.
"This is their insult to me, which I recorded," Song Yun said with a smile.
"Haha, that’s good. They seem to have some big backers. Do you have any? No matter, even without it, I’ll fight for you in this police uniform," the older policeman said boldly.
"Haha, thank you, then I’ll make a call too," Song Yun gratefully said. Chinese people are indeed more courageous and won’t just fold because the other party is a foreigner.
Soon, a slightly overweight middle-aged man came in with a young man wearing glasses. The woman named Lanlan jumped up excitedly upon seeing the man. "Uncle, I’m here."
The middle-aged man nodded reservedly, looking at the older policeman seated and Song Yun, asked unhappily, "What’s going on?"
"These two gentlemen had a dispute, and we’re investigating. May I ask who you are?" The older policeman stood up and asked neither humbly nor arrogantly.
"This is Director Li from the city tourism bureau." The secretary with glasses knew it was his time to act, running forward to introduce him. Usually, big figures disdain to talk about their positions and glorious deeds, so they need secretaries by their side. People can pat the back of a horse, but horses can’t pat their own backs.
"Has the investigation concluded?" The middle-aged man, after having his identity introduced by the secretary, asked condescendingly.
"Not yet. It’s still ongoing."
"Uncle, they’re on the same side; they were chatting just now. Junxi was beaten by that man, many people saw it, but that policeman is biased and refuses to hold him accountable," the woman complained gleefully, thinking she had secured victory.
"What is going on? This gentleman came to our city for a preliminary investment investigation and was assaulted. You gentlemen have a responsibility to give him justice," the middle-aged man said, directing his official rhetoric at the older policeman.
"No matter who started it, we will find the truth. But before the matter is clear, I cannot assign responsibility to anyone," the older policeman said expressionlessly.
"When can it be clarified? Isn’t the situation obvious?" The middle-aged man said impatiently, glaring at the older policeman. This old fellow really doesn’t regard the village chief as an official.
"I’m not sure. It depends on whether they cooperate."
"So, if you can’t conclude within one day, we’ll be stuck here for the entire day?" The woman screamed sharply.
"Yes." The older policeman nodded.
"Uncle!! I don’t want to stay here. The weather is so cold, I’m freezing," the woman said coyly to the middle-aged man.
The middle-aged man nodded and walked to the older policeman, saying, "Well, I’ll take them away first. You continue the interrogation of the case. If you need witnesses, I’ll bring them back."
"If they leave, this case will be considered automatically withdrawn."
"No way. They assaulted someone; how can we just let them go? Our Junxi has never been hit before," the woman objected.
"Miss, let me remind you again, the case hasn’t been fully investigated yet, and I am not sure who started the fight."
